How the fuck in AEW's 3 year history has Super Crazy, 2 Cold Scorpio or Rob Van Dam NOT been introduced? Even as a one off appearance on Dynamite? Super Crazy has got to be cheap as he has never really ever been given his proper due and always lingered on the outside but always very entertaining when involved. 2 Cold Scorpio has the WCW, ECW, WWF, NOAH, TNA, WWE and a ton of experienced background. Not to mention, never really given his fair due so he's probably fairly flexible in hiring financially. Rob Van Dam... probably not cheap but still has IT. Book a fucking dream match with him and Kenny Omega in AEW; PAY him to put Kenny O F'N Mega over and call it there. Probably best to book him for one offs only, as that is where he thrives and delivers best bang for your buck. |
All 3 were doing the stuff these guys emulated, but all 3 are also physically larger than the AEW crowd.

While Tony’s obviously not above bringing in guys solely for wrestling nerd nostalgia reactions, Super Crazy and Scorpio don’t seem like they would be high priorities. Even for a 90s wrestling mark.
RVD I can see coming in for a one-off someday but also probably not a high priority. If he returned to TNA tomorrow, it wouldn’t even get them much attention. The shine is gone. |
