I mean, I didn’t dive deep for comment from Dax himself, so I’m no better than Dave Meltzer, but whatever.

Was just thinking about how badly AEW have fucked up almost all their talent acquisitions. If this were any other promotion — WCW, TNA, you name it — they would be dragged over the coals for how badly they have fucked up.

* Wardlow was getting so over as MJF’s reluctant bodyguard. I knew turning him face was premature, but they have taken a guy who gave people Goldberg vibes and firmly planted him in the mid-card. He’s in a going nowhere feud with an old WWE guy who doesn’t want to be there over secondary belts no one cares about. This is like if Goldberg beat Hogan on Nitro and then decided he wanted to make the US Title his only thing.

* Bryan Danielson is still one of the best workers on the planet and basically universally beloved. They’ve presented him in such a way that it actually breaks people’s hearts enough that they tune out whenever he is on the television. It’s taken them longer to run Seattle than it took WCW to run Canada with Bret Hart.

* Miro is sitting at home with nothing to do. He’s draining more company resources than Nailz did in WCW. People just want to see the guy come in and wreck shit. Meltzer justifies this by saying Miro knocked back doing a job. Why are you getting him to lose? The last time you saw him, paying customers were seeing him victorious alongside Sting and Darby Allin. If they didn’t know better, they could make the case that Khan got them to plonk down cash and invest on someone he just pulled from them in a gotcha.

None of this is good. None of this is ok by any standards we used to have as fans. They get the simplest shit so fucking wrong. But we’re supposed to stand back and clap because they pay Chris Jericho a truckload of money to play politics. Fuck that.

The Miro situation is weird. Tiny not being able to keep shit in house and had to let it be known that Miro is home because he disliked creative pitched to him. There is no reason to put that out there, but Tiny got defensive just because somebody questioned why he can't get Miro on TV.

Now you have Lana making comments about Miro will return to WWE, talking about Rusev Day, and praising WWE.

It’s kind of the booker’s job to be able to sell creative to the talent.

And it’s a tantrum. Miro could be on TV winning squash matches to keep him warm until it is time to do something with him. But because he didn’t want to lose a trios match to The Elite or whatever, he’s at home getting paid.

Wouldn’t surprise me if this heat started because Miro leaked that his bad gimmick at the start of his AEW run came from Tony himself.

That Keith Lee/Swerve/Rick Ross segment might have been the worst segment they’ve ever done.

Rick Ross so annoying talking over everyone else. It smacked of WWE celebrity guests.

Keith Lee is so uncharismatic, just stood there stroking his chin trying to be intellectual. That’s not a gimmick. His matches are quite fun when he’s throwing little people around.

Big fan of Swerve though, but pairing him up with two nobodies who got beat up even when blindsiding someone doesn’t seem good. Is there anyone in AEW currently who operates as an individual?

Hayter v Shida was great. Usually skip through 95% of the womens matches but that kept me interested right from the start.

The Lee/Swerve/Ross segment was bad and it also seemed to go on forever.

Good for Miro. World beater like him should rarely be doing a job.

And Miro is right about not wanting to lose. He’s lost enough during his run in AEW.

If the options are having Miro job to The Elite or having him off TV until a plan is in place, I'm fine with the latter.

(would obviously like to see him on TV doing good things but that's not on the table rn)

I lost hope in wrestling knowing how to push brutes a long time ago. Last time I watched AEW Adam Cole beat Samoa Joe virtually clean and… I just couldn’t.

I dont remember the last "celebrity" guest bit I didnt largely skip in any wrestling tbh. Its just never done it for me.
