I watched it yesterday too. Sure, it wasn't the comedic masterpiece I'm sure they're hoping it would be, but it was more than bearable to watch. I've seen much worse. :y:

Great storyline here. A serious passing of the torch from one monster to another. While Yoko was a bigger man, Vader was somehow more menacing. Perhaps it was the Vale Tudo mask. Perhaps it was the brutality. Perhaps the fact that, while he wasn't as big as his predecessor, he was more mobile (at this point, you could even scratch the word "more").

Yoko only had 2 more television in ring appearances with WWF after this. They were writing him off to send him to fatass rehab. This was the moment where it all changed. The point where Vince realized there was such a thing as having someone who was TOO big.

El Cenek and Masa Saito are the only two people to bodyslam Yokozuna. All the other ones were clearly hip-tosses.

Exactly. The guy taking the slam does most of the work, the later ones looked worse because Yoko's fat stomach was bigger then/he was heavier/not as agile etc.

And I'm not sure slick damo has ever seen a hip toss.

Also, his legs were so big that the guy doing the slam couldn't get a hold of Yoko all that well.

That being said, those guys (Rikishi, Yokozuna, Umaga and other family members) are/were pretty agile for their sizes. How many guys that look like Yokozuna can actually run, wrestle a 15 or 20 minute match, take bumps, get slammed, etc? Most can't even get off bed.

Actually watched TNA Impact! for the first time in many years. I heard Hogan say he slammed a 700 pound giant. Ok brother. And why is the TNA ring smaller and the outside area so enclosed? That space around the ring can be used for a lot of things. Not everything happens inside the ring.
