I love Fox, thier old school tributes and thier music :(

How awesome is the prez? Baggy jeans, Sox jacket and all

3-3, Jeter scored twice

Loose Cannon 07-14-2009 11:13 PM

I guess I am the only Fox fan on this board because I love Buck and McCarver too.

McLegend 07-14-2009 11:14 PM

He throws like a girl.

Supreme Olajuwon 07-14-2009 11:48 PM

OMG just read somewhere that Erin Andrews got hit in the face by an Alex Cora foul ball last week at Citi Field. She just got hit in the chin and is fine but still, Cora you fucker.

Innovator 07-14-2009 11:50 PM

FUCK YOU ALEX CORA, YOU DO NOT HIT ERIN ANDREWS

Triple Naitch 07-14-2009 11:56 PM

I'd like to hit Erin Andrews on the chin with my balls. :naughty:

Innovator 07-15-2009 12:00 AM

Simmons said it best, anytime a woman goes into the press box, she goes up a notch, at least from a C- to a B. So when Erin Andrews walks in, jaws are dropping

DAMN iNATOR 07-15-2009 12:14 AM

4-3, AL, bottom of the 9th...gettin' kinda tense in here.

DAMN iNATOR 07-15-2009 12:16 AM

Also, gotta kinda wonder just how quick Obama got to the ballpark, because he had a speech to a bunch of students at Macomb Community College (somewhere over by Detroit) from 3:30-4...although, I'm sure AF1 can get wherever it needs to probably within a couple of hours, but that's just a guess-timate.

Loose Cannon 07-15-2009 12:17 AM

wow Rivera's kid looks exactly like him. I know you are like "duh, that's his kid," but you know what I mean.

Nervous Ferret 07-15-2009 12:19 AM

MARIANO

DAMN iNATOR 07-15-2009 12:20 AM

2 outs...come on AL, hold on...:-\

DAMN iNATOR 07-15-2009 12:23 AM

Well, we held on and at least the AL World Series rep(resentative). gets Home Field advantage...all that matters.

Nervous Ferret 07-15-2009 12:30 AM

Crawford was actually MVP DAMN iNATOR :o

Evil Vito 07-15-2009 12:31 AM

Well, at least K-Rod didn't blow it and Howard did. Kinda makes me feel better. That whole 9th after Howard K'd was disturbing tho. NL dugout looked tense while the AL dugout was joking around. It's like everyone knew it was over with Mo coming in.

DAMN iNATOR 07-15-2009 12:32 AM

Yeah...I see that now. Granderson got screwed. Royally. And he was the one who basically sealed the deal in the 8th for the A.L. too, those ungrateful bastards...:nono:

Supreme Olajuwon 07-15-2009 04:13 AM

You know, for this supposedly being HIS All Star Game, Albert Pujols had a pretty shitty couple of days.

SammyG 07-15-2009 04:57 AM

Wtf is up with the fucking AL winning all the time.

ClockShot 07-15-2009 09:29 AM

American League is the big boys league. You haven't figured that out yet since '96?

ClockShot 07-15-2009 09:48 AM

And Pedro Martinez signs with the Phillies.

Evil Vito 07-15-2009 10:01 AM

The last 4 AS games have been really close, I don't think the AL being the superior league has had much of a factor in the outcome of those games. Obv the AL shits on NL in interleague every year...but in terms of the ASG itself the NL usually seems to lose solely due to one or two guys, at least the last couple of years.

2006: Trevor Hoffman blowing the 9th inning save.

2007: La Russa leaving Pujols on the bench and allowing Aaron Rowand to bat as the potential go-ahead run with the bases loaded instead.

2008: This game was just a classic. Hard to imagine that if the NL had gotten through that last inning, we would have been seeing positions players pitch on both sides.

2009: Heath Bell for allowing the triple...then Ryan Howard striking out (big surprise)

Skippord 07-15-2009 10:47 AM

damn that Carl Crawford for robbing Bradley Hawpe

That's baseball. You can find instances similar to that in any game, and on the other side as well.

I think if the NL and AL were to play a best out of 5, the outcome would still be the same.

RatedGSuperstar 07-15-2009 03:51 PM

The outcome may be similar in a best of 5, but that's not because the AL is better -- it's because a best of 5 series is a really way of seeing who's a better team. The first round of the playoffs prove that almost every year. ;)

In terms of last night's game, I would've preferred to see the Howard and Fielder pinch hit ABs swapped -- have Howard hit in that early spot that Fielder did, and have Prince come up with the tying run on third. Fielder's been much better this year at bringing in runs in those situations this year and uses more of the field as a hitter than Howard does. Not like it really matters, though...even though the AL's always won the game ever since they started the HFA rule, both leagues have won 3 World Series in that time span. HFA hasn't been important since that Diamondbacks/Yankees series in 2001.

Edit: Forgot that the 2002 Giants/Angels series also went 7, but the point remains. It's been awhile since HFA meant anything.

The Pope 07-15-2009 07:02 PM

what the hell happened to Lincecum?

YOUR Hero 07-16-2009 11:17 AM

what about him?

SammyG 07-16-2009 01:53 PM

lol yeah what

Jeritron 07-16-2009 02:45 PM

batters were swinging at the first pitch. That's when he's most vulnerable

Rain Man 07-16-2009 04:04 PM

LETS GO PHILLIES

ClockShot 07-16-2009 06:17 PM

Cubs grab B.J Ryan and sign him to a 1-year deal.

DAMN iNATOR 07-17-2009 02:51 AM

My boys in Detroit need to play their asses off and not drop any games to the shit teams in our division (AL Central) if we're to go to the postseason this year.

Supreme Olajuwon 07-17-2009 05:44 AM

What league are the Tigers in

intresting move. I wonder what Ryan has left.

Nice that the Cubs get a pickmeup series against the Nationals. Should sweep and be headed in the right direction.

Skippord 07-17-2009 09:44 AM

the rockies scored 10 runs at PETCO

pretty sure that's never happened ever before

ClockShot 07-17-2009 04:25 PM

Red Sox DFA Julio Lugo.

Anybody need a decent SS?

Triple Naitch 07-18-2009 12:33 AM

Not gonna find it there...

Big Fat Mike 07-18-2009 12:37 AM

What the fuck is with Phil Hughes against the Tigers? He struck out all 6 guys he faced tonight and even hit 97 on the gun. I dont think he's EVER hit 97 before. Chamberlain for setup and Hughes for closer in 2 years. Or the other way around.

Boomer 07-18-2009 12:45 AM

What will the Mets do now, bat Frenchy cleanup? Can't really afford any more people on the DL at this point.
