So Thiago Silva got arrested after an armed standoff in a Miami suburb.

The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) Light Heavyweight veteran reportedly stormed into the Brazilian jiu-jitsu school of Pablo Popovitch on Oakland Park Boulevard in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., "armed" with a weapon and shouting threats.

The good news is that no one was injured and he left the building; however, the drama continued when Silva returned to his home.

This report has the early, and alarming, details:

A suspect who had barricaded himself in his Oakland Park home was taken into custody late Thursday night, the Broward Sheriff's Office said.

Authorities had set up a perimeter around the home at 2041 Coral Heights Blvd. after the suspect threatened people inside a Jiu Jitsu school earlier, the BSO said.

The armed suspect went to the school at 777 E. Oakland Park Blvd. and threatened the people there, but no one was injured, said the BSO, which was called about the situation at about 7:45 p.m.

He then went to his home and locked himself inside it, according to the BSO.

The SWAT team responded to the scene, and authorities were trying to establish contact with the suspect, the BSO said.

The agency confirmed at about 11:15 p.m. that the suspect had been taken into custody.

Speculation has already begun to swirl that he found out about an affair his wife was having with someone at that school. However, there is nothing concrete to corroborate that assumption at this time.

Silva is fresh off a decision victory over Matt Hamill at UFC Fight Night 29 in Oct. 2013. The win improved his record in the promotion to 7-3 (with two no contests). However, the Brazilian -- who has had issues with weight and banned substances throughout his tenure -- was unable to silence critics, coming into the match overweight and gassed prior to defeating Hamill, who was out on his feet in the third.

Dana White was less than impressed with the performance. And it's safe to assume he'll be even less impressed with this latest domestic incident if it holds true.

BJJ Black Belt Pablo Popovitch was smashing his wife. He has had a really rough life and this doesn't surprise me. I am sad as Im a Silva fan but he made his own bed.

It seems like just yesterday he got injured. Crazy recovery time.

I think I read somewhere that listed the amount of time passed until he can do certain things and training was a couple of months or something. He should not be training so soon and work on rehab but maybe he's only doing exercises or moves that only require the upper half of his body.

-Pettis/Melendez should headline themDecember card

-rumors are that DC willmbe fed #15 ranked former Strikeforce LHW Champ Cavalcante. He should have gotten Gus, Lil Nog or Rashad not an unknown can.

-Several rumors as to who will replace Weidman and Machida. Reem vs Hunt would be good, IMO

-Rory vs Woodley is likely to happen. Kinda hope they make Lawler vs Lombard
