Probably not in those words. PG and all. But still.

LOL can you imagine the Monday before the Elimination Chamber ppv, having some of the 6 participants in the ring going at each other in promos, and then have a heel "Hollywood Rock" show up on the titantron, WWE Championship on his shoulder, and just go all like "You guys go into the Elimination Chamber next Sunday and beat the hell out of each other. Me? I'm the WWE Champion, I'm a movie star, I'm on the set of my next movie. I don't have the time to be out there on RAW in front of that crowd".

The heat would be unreal.

#1-norm-fan 08-07-2012 10:00 PM

Rock would get pretty massive heat showing up on the titantron to tell crowds he's too busy in hollywood to be there.

Unfortunately it would only make the pop when he IS actually in the building that much stronger so it wouldn't be all that effective.

Meanwhile, Cena wins the Elimination Chamber match to determine the Number One Contender for the WWE Championship at WrestleMania XXIX.

The match between Cena & Rock happens and Cena wins and becomes Champion....

If Rock beats Punk for the title at the Rumble, I'd rather not see a rematch at Elimination Chamber. Not only because I'd hate seeing Punk job twice to Mr. Part Time but because no one is gonna buy that Punk would win the rematch.

Emperor Smeat 08-07-2012 10:13 PM

What if the Rumble winner is from the RAW brand, then you can have the normal Elimination chamber match where the title is on the line. Punk can have his rematch but be eliminated by someone else to set up his Mania match.

Cool King's scenario assumes its a Smackdown person winning but if Ziggler has the belt, the only viable options would be Sheamus or Orton for face name power. Beyond those two, you'd either need a face turn by Barrett/Cody or go with a huge wild card of Santino/Ryder. Jericho probably won't be an option nor would Christian.

#1-norm-fan 08-07-2012 11:08 PM

Brands don't really matter as far as who wins the rumble and what title they go after.

Lock Jaw 08-07-2012 11:15 PM

Christian is ALWAYS an option. :foc:

Emperor Smeat 08-07-2012 11:36 PM

Of course he is but this is the WWE we are talking about and they were very reluctant to push him as a champion to begin with.

Still a bit upset at his first reign being a bit of a joke

I wasn't aware Rock was a full time wrestler. I guess I should watch Superstars more. He must be tearing it up there on a weekly basis.

I'd kinda like to see Cena end Taker's WrestleMania streak with that moment being used heavily in the buildup to the match.

The reason Maria got her first gimmick is because she was fucking up interviews.

#1-norm-fan 08-08-2012 09:32 AM

lol. I forgot all about that.

In fact I vaguely remember one night after a lot of minor fuck ups, they staged a really out there fuck up of some sort but it was kinda realistic and people were wondering if she really fucked up that bad or if they started making it a gimmick.

Oh. I thought there was some unique subtlety or quirk in there beyond the obvious.

Very disappointed right now. :(

Emperor Smeat 08-08-2012 05:26 PM

I guess a car getting stolen on a PG show might count as a gag or even Del Rio watching the whole thing and doing nothing.

#1-norm-fan 08-08-2012 05:38 PM

It is an oddly captivating image as the car quickly drives into the horizon. It's... art?

He's not a full time wrestler. He hasn't been for an extremely long amount of time, everyone is aware of this. It's obvious, but you clearly feel some sort of way about it to give him a moniker when everyone else has accepted it. to expect him to be full time is asinine lol.

Thats why you're so adorable, you gave him a little nickname to voice your subtle disapproval.

#1-norm-fan 08-08-2012 07:45 PM

My disapproval of him going over full time guys multiple times who need to be put over because there are 112 shows a year that Rock isn't wrestling on that need to feature guys people want to see. Your point?

After watching Maria's post Raw show this week, I am a huge Nigel McGuinness fan. The guy came off as insanely likable. Plus the laid back positive way he looks at the business and how he doesn't seem to have a negative thing to say about WWE or anything. I loved how he kept asking the fan who was sitting in as co-host questions and went out of his way to not make him feel out of place too. Seems like an awesome guy.

Plus I think another reason I like the guy so much is that he kinda looks like Gary Cole AKA Bill Lumbergh from Office Space.

Vortexx is actually the name of the block, the show is called WWE Saturday Morning Slam. The block replaces Toonzai and only 2 other shows are announced for it, that being Power Rangers and Yu-Gi-Oh Zexal which is the only Toonzai show that will still air.

It's Fox News what do you expect? I think Nash handled himself quite well even if I don't fully agree with everything he said (mainly the defense of roids). None the less it's stupid to think that the roids alone caused Benoit to "Snap". The guy clearly had problems and while the roids might have pushed him a bit I have to believe that something like this would have happened eventually even without them. Evil can't be injected it's far more complicated than that.

Top talent in the company still receive a substantially higher pay off from live events and merchandise. John Cena for example, earns somewhere north of 40 percent of his merchandise sales, while mid-card stars, who are still top-five/ten merchandise draws such as Zack Ryder, receive south of 10 percent of his merchandise sales. Santino Marella sells a lot of merchandise as well and also makes very little from sales. Ryder and Marella also aren’t getting any income from their popular YouTube.com shows.
This is why Cena does not want to turn.

I actually found AW funny as hell, and was the only thing entertaining during any tag match in recent weeks.

I find his twitter comments to be quite true.

Emperor Smeat 08-10-2012 09:33 PM

Seems odd to get rid of him now considering he was still on tv instead of punishing after the incident unless he did something really bad during the current Japan tour nobody is aware of.

Besides his rant on Twitter, a few places like Bleacher Report are saying its entirely due to Linda running for Senate again.

At least this means no more random clothing been thrown on WWE tv for the near time. :shifty:

I liked them. Their mic skills aren't really all that great but the millions of dollars thing was exactly the kind of douchey, cocky catchphrase they needed to cover it up. Their gimmick helps make them look more charismatic than they are.

AW was HUGE for them though. This is definitely a big blow to them.

Mr. Nerfect 08-11-2012 06:25 AM

Just bring up Byron Saxton to represent All World Promotions from now on. He can sit in at the commentary desk and talk about how great Young & O'Neil are.

I kind of wish that AJ Lee and Primo would reference their NXT relationship sometime on RAW.

I really like the way the WWE is currently handling Sin Cara. He's not booked all the time, as they'll promote a match he's in for the following week. This makes him look like a big deal, and it gives him time off to work on polishing his WWE style.
