Well, I have ended the TPWW Fantasy season with a strong victory. I ended up outscoring the team in the championship match :). In the end I was 5-8 in the Regular season and 2-1 in the Consulation bracket. So, I end up in 9th place but the Nexus will return next year and will do much, much better!
And another side note: The Houston Texans are the biggest letdown to me this season. I know their defense isn't all there, but god damn.
Mike Singletary fired. Shame but not surprising.
Also, these celebration flags/penalties are bordering on parody now.
lol @ Peyton sliding instead of running it in for the TD. It's the Brian Westbrook situation all over again, same week too.
Good football move obviously. Guarantee more than a few people are gonna lose their fantasy championships (and possibly money) because of it though. I could actually be one of them. :o |
Coughlin is done if the Giants don't get in the playoffs. Shame cause he's done a great job but someone has to take the blame for the collapses.
Yeah. And if Coughlin goes, I hope the entire coaching staff is sent packing also. Let the new coach bring in who he wants.
Of course that won't happen. Quinn is the only coordinator who is definitely gone. Feel like ownership has a hard-on for Gilbride, and I see Fewell sticking around if only because they don't want to make the players learn from a 4th different defensive coordinator in 4 years. |
Hey hey, ho ho, Jack Del Rio's got to go.
Gene Smith, please draft some Safeties and CB's next year. Grab a QB too while you're at it. Kind of don't even want the Jags to make the playoffs now as they'd just get embarrassed by the Ravens. |
Here is something that has bothered me for a while actually and will not be changed until it costs a team a game. You get two challenges and if you get them both right, you get a third one. If you use that third one and get it right, then you're out of challenges. So if the refs fuck up again and make a terrible call, you're screwed. I'm not sure if a team has had the need to use a fourth challenge, but I feel like it will probably happen in a big situation. If they would just change the rule now it could be avoided altogether.
Yeah when you get your two challenges right, you should be able to keep challenging until you lose one.
Can't believe this. Week 17, primetime game in Qwest. OMGGGGGGG, for a PLAYOFF SPOT.
Big game tonight, lads..

I remember when my friends and I went to a bowling alley and the scoring machine was broken. Somebody kept getting strike after strike and we let him go on until he stopped because we didn't know the rules without the automatic scorer since we usually played Candlestick bowling. Since the machine was broken we didn't know how many games we were playing or being charged for. So, we ended up paying for way more games than we thought we played. I guess the machines worked to count the games at the paystation but not at the alley boo. |

Amazing how they beat the Bills.. No one would have ever expected that..
ESPN is predicting as high as 12 head coaches are going to be fired once the season ends or almost 1/3 of all the coaches in the NFL. So far just Minnesota, Dallas, and SF fired their head coaches.
Quote:
You forgot Denver. |
Yeah ended up forgetting about them when looking at the list of coaches ESPN was reporting could be gone.
That makes it 4 fired during the season with another 8 possibly gone once the season ends (and maybe all of the intern ones to make about 16 total fired or released). Kind of crazy how 2 divisions could drop 6-7 coaches (AFC South only keeping Colts and NFC East only keeping Eagles coaches, Dallas could get rid of Wade and the intern). |

What do you think will be the "Come on Man" of the year at Halftime?

Come on Mannnnnnn!!!
Norv Turner will be back for the 2011 season.
I cannot possibly fathom why the Chargers are so forgiving with Norv Turner when they so readily fired Schottenheimer after a 14-2 season. |
Quote:
The person who thought LaDanian Tomilinson was done from the Chargers should be fired. Is Norv Turner is the general manager then he deserves to be fired. |
WHO DAT
WTF when did Drew Bress turn into Brett Favre?
That was a gutsy win by The Saints. Good job
I love the aggressive defense from the Falcons tonight, and I cannot fucking stand the typical conservative offensive play-calling. Punting the ball to the Saints with 2:30 left just isn't worth it. And running the ball up the middle with a stacked line over and over is driving me crazy. The Falcons offense is too good to leave that many points on the field.
I'm not worried though. The Falcons defense played great, and the team has a great shot of doing well in the playoffs. |
I'm up on Moonax by 16.34 points heading into tomorrow's game. He has DeSean Jackson, I have David Akers and Trent Cole.
Think I can hold him off unless Vick just heaves it downfield to DeSean all game. |
I just need 6.38 points to win my championship and I got DeSean and Michael Vick playing. Woot championship!!!
Well, great, this just means NO-STL in the first round.
Quote:
Come on Tennesee the only 10 I want to see is 10 losses in your season by the end of it. BEAT INDY!!! Eliminate the Colts from the Playoffs like they should be! |

I wonder how big of a brick Roger Goodell would shit if somehow it ended up being a Chiefs/Rams Super Bowl.

I knew i shouldnt have talked shit. Maybe we needed that.....cant go into the playoffs too confident or u get kicked out.....Im just glad our defense is finally steppin up....and if the rams could just beat these guys so we dont have to see them again.....we gotta superbowl
I see all the stats about byes in the playoffs, and how in recent years it doesn't really work out for the teams with byes. I get all that and it's good information.
However I still want the Eagles to get a bye. |
Are you adequately prepared for some Football?!

LOL @ O'Hara going despite playing in only 6 games
Quote:
Steelers loss to the Browns (unlikely) or the Chiefs losing to the Raiders. Really dont want to see the Ravens go to Indy for the Wild Card game. A Chiefs loss means the Ravens would go to KC. Also, definitely rooting for the Jets to win their WC game vs whoever which would keep the Ravens out of NE til the Champ game, and possibly a home game in the Champ game should the Jets win out. |
yeah, the eagles are going to get a blow out
Can't believe I have to actually root for the fucking Eagles since if they managed to lose, the Bears would have zero incentive to beat the Packers.
BenJarvus Green-Ellis: 928 yards 12 td
Jones-Drew 1324 yards 5 TDs. Jamaal Charles 1380 yards TDs 4. Where is the love for the Lawfirm? He's got more Touchdowns than these two guys COMBINED. |
Lol they just talked about how Peterson hasn't fumbled all season
this is a game of turnovers
Wow, Vick basically just threw 3 INTs, only one was actually caught. Don't wanna say that playing on tuesday is causing this, but this is TOTALLy out of character dammit
This Joe Webb guy isn't awful..but he can't be their QB solution in 2011.
Man, this game is annoying me. I feel like we should be up like 17-0 right now. Mad "sluggish" right now.
LOL @ the Eagle running by during the halftime show
Mother fucker fuckin fuck
what the fuck is going on here?!
I don't know, but I think that Vick is hurt and i think the young receivers are cold out there and aren't used to it. Idk. This game is "mad weird" to me right now. It feels almost like someone famous died or something.
Eagles fans come to boo apparently
wtf man...we look like a JV team right now
Vick sometimes you just gotta slide dude
Might as well hand Tom Brady the MVP Trophy now
Yea, lets blow this shit out of the water now.
Yea, Vick getting MVP is non-existent at this point. But he can definitely win comeback of the year and i'd definitely take a SuperBowl ring over MVP. |
This is a horrible game at every end, but at least they can rest the starters next week.
Yessssssss I win the fantasy league
Quote:
Man, they need to rest the starters the last week.
Quote:
Yessssssss! Jason Garrett will go out in a blaze of glory by beating the Eagles!
Remember all those super bowls the Eagles won

So my final standings for the year in various leagues are 1st, 2nd, 4th, and 6th. Considering the 6th place team lost in the first round of the playoffs by one point due to a Johnny fucking Knox fumble, I'd say I had probably my best overall fantasy year ever.
Finished my league as the highest scoring team by at least 150 points
Finished 5th place |
Anyone who votes for Michael Vick over Tom Brady for MVP shouldn't be allowed to vote ever again.
It's blatantly voting for a story, and not most valuable player. |
People love stories tho. I really want to see Vick win it.

I love Brandon Lloyd even more now somehow

Vick isn't winning the MVP now so there's no worries about that now.
Fuck you Eagles. Can't stop dicking over the Giants. Now Chicago can rest people against GB.
Good... I also hope The Eagles rest all of their starters next week. I don't want anyone playing. I wouldn't even mind if they forfeited the game.
oh what you lose one game and now you don't even want to play anymore? OK Brock Lesnar
LoL I still want to play. I just don't want them to play in a meaningless game where The Eagles could get even more injured.
Let's save it for the playoffs is all I want. |
This despite the fact that teams who rest their starters in Week 17 often times shit the bed in the playoffs whether they have a bye the next week or not.
lol Favre is gonna be disciplined within the next 48 hours. Be funny if he ended his career while suspended.
Yeah I'd rather have Vick at or as close to 100% as possible.
3 Jaguars made the Pro Bowl? I'm impressed! Thought for sure Hillis would get in, but I'm glad MoJo did. Lewis I can understand with how good he is playing this year, but the real shocker is Montell Owens.
Hakeem Nicks broke his left big toe and is probably out Sunday.
lol christ this season keeps getting worse |
Quote:
Fuck the Falcons.. I pray we go back to ATL the second week of the playoffs and destroy their dreams.. |
They didnt fn take pictures in Baltimore. HA!

Nice, I love when Krispy acts like an internet dickhead in the NFL thread because he takes a game too seriously.
Why does he always go on the "Vagina" offensive to?
Because that's what internet dickhead Krispies do.
Oic
O_o
Bengals fans can't take "the game" too seriously..
