Firstly Iran's first goal was offside. Secondly, their 2nd goal wouldn't have been a problem for us if that fucking dickhead Aurelio Vidmar had put away 1 more of his 30 chances to score and give Australia a 3-0 lead. :nono:

It's such a fucking harsh way to get eliminated. Once more, I blame Vidmar for not converting more of his 30 chances, not the cunt who ripped the net down.

No free accomodation, but a fake ID could be in order. If you're still not 18 :o

But it's only the result that matters. Good times for all Iranians around the world. Even better when we beat the USA in the World Cup. One up for the Axis Of Evil. :naughty:

I feel sorry for Australia. You're like Celtic and Rangers, how can you test yourselves when your main opposition in qualifying are so weak.

Celtic manage it.

Rangers are just mince.

That's pretty much the problem, we're basically playing 2 meaningful games every 4 years (world cup qualifier home and away legs).

toxic rooster 10-17-2004 08:19 PM

Oh good, Sir Alex is determined to shove his foot squarely in his mouth once again.

1 - You did get away with it. The punishments were a joke.

2 - Fergie is just winding you lot up.

3 - I don't even care if we beat you. I just hope we kick the sh</>it out of your pussy players. I still remember 6 on 1 Van Nistelrooy and Vieira crying about being sent off even though he threw a kick at him. See if he does that to Roy Keane or Quinton Fortune.

The Mackem 10-17-2004 08:38 PM

Oh yeah, Sunderland won again yesterday.

Plenty of thoughts, anyone who watched the game saw how useless he is, and slicing that shot topped it off. Mourinho apparently keeps pages of notes about each player, I'd like to see his report on Gudjohnsen so I can see why he likes him so much.

That and half the cunts get injured/excuse themselves whenever there's an international.

1. Yeah the punishments were a joke - Lauren got 4 weeks for handbags. No punches were thrown, there were no 2 footed tackles, nobody got slapped or nothing. Except for Lehmann who got rugby tackled by Fortune (?) and he got off scot-free.

2. No shit, sherlock.

3. I can't personally complain about Vieira getting sent off because he effectively got the same punishment as Ruud for that incident, only Vieira already had a yellow. What pisses me off though is that it seems Ruud obviously had no intent of going for the ball but just went in to piss off Vieira and Vieira fell for the trap.

I could go on forever, but it's bedtime.

Ogen 10-18-2004 12:11 PM

Ah Mutu. Though all the papers seem to think it will be a two year ban which is beyond rediculous for a drug that isn'ta preformance enhancer.

quinton fortune? like he's going to get near the fucking field on that day.

I'd like to see mighty Gabriel rip him a new arsehole though.

If they don't all the United fans will being stirring up the ol "Everyone's out to get us" belief.

The Mask 10-18-2004 04:00 PM

well if you get 9 months for missing the test, testing positive should be more severe. maybe not 2 years severe, but still.

Yeah you sound like you were dreaming when you wrote that.

Wengerland 10-18-2004 06:10 PM

Well Lauren got the same as Andy Cole, and i consider throwing a punch a bit more severe than Lauren's offence.

Mr. Monday Morning 10-18-2004 06:12 PM

Aaaaaaaaahahaha Bellamy's going to be in trouble after the cameras caught him calling Souness a prick when he was substituted

If we don't win tomorrow Dave Jones is almost certainly sacked :$

Ogen 10-19-2004 12:26 AM

THere should be fuck all ban its a socail drug not a preformance enhancer

Wengerland 10-19-2004 08:13 AM

6 months i've heard, since he admitted it.

Wengerland 10-19-2004 08:15 AM

Thanks for recalling Harper, Pompey. He was our best player  :'(

Shawshank 10-19-2004 08:39 AM

Mutu has admitted to taking cocaine. Bosnich was banned for about 2 years for doing the same and dumped by chelsea for it!

so it'll be intresting to see what happens with Mutu.

We need a base in either Europe or Asia and actually play some decent quality internationals on occasions.

Also I reckon there's no point in even having an Oceania Confederation, like we should just join Asia or something and play off for one of the Asian spots because we'd actually be playing quality internationals more regularly instead of 2 quality internationals in 4 years.

Mr. Monday Morning 10-19-2004 12:33 PM

Newcastle manager Graeme Souness insists Craig Bellamy must "sort himself out" for the good of the club after the Wales forward apparently swore at him after being substituted in the Magpies' draw with Charlton.

Souness, famed for his strict managerial style, has not revealed what - if any - action will be taken against the player as punishment for his outburst but insists the culture of the club has got to change.

"I'm angry about it, not because I was called whatever I was called because I'm a big boy and I've been called worse in the past," he said. "I'm angry because we're concentrating on this and not the important thing which is Thursday night. It happens too much and we should only be interested in the next game, not talking about incidents like this."

"All these things have to stop, if we're going to win things at this club we need to concentrate on what matters, not this petulance, not people acting like children. It has to stop and it will stop, I guarantee the supporters that. He (Bellamy) in particular has to sort himself out," Souness told Sky Sports News.

"From the outside looking in before I took this job it seemed to be a recurring situation. The club were making headlines not for attractive football but because some dope was doing what he shouldn't be doing."

-----

Dont' rate Souness too highly as a manager but lord knows he's exactly the type of character that dressing room needed

I do agree with some of the alternatives that the PFA are stating, as opposed to a ban.

That said, rehab's gonna do nothing for a guy who's career is over.
