No, that is the Crock. Whenever the Crock sweats his way out of the gym, everyone can smell what the Crock was cooking.

From PWInsider:

Apparently, World WRESTLING Entertainment are offended that they are perceived as a WRESTLING company.

TVWeek.com put out a headline mentioning 'Drew Carey inducted into pro wrestling Hall of Fame'. Later, they received an email from WWE publicist, Kellie Baldyga, demanding that they change the headline, mentioning that "We are no longer a wrestling company but rather a global entertainment company with a movie studio, international licensing deals, publisher of three magazines, consumer good distributor and more."

Baldyga added "No, we don't do wrestling events. They're entertainments. And we don’t call them wrestlers. They’re superstars and divas."

TVWeek refused to change the headline. They just removed it. She then followed up, writing "I know the perception is that we are a wrestling company but we are actually much more than that--we are a global media company which is how our Chairman and CEO, Vince McMahon, positions us."

Xero 03-21-2011 01:58 AM

WWE has three magazines?

WWE Magazine, WWE Kids Magazine, ????

Xero 03-21-2011 01:59 AM

Also, lol at "They're entertainments".

Lock Jaw 03-21-2011 02:19 AM

They have their comic book series.

SlickyTrickyDamon 03-21-2011 02:19 AM

Then why is it called WrestleMania? Why isn't it SportsEntertania? Oh god no. Please don't read this WWE.

From rapper to marine to country singer.

Cool King 03-21-2011 04:37 PM

The WWE's Facebook is saying that Abdullah the Butcher is being inducted into The Hall Of Fame.

Why is it when ever I see a drawling of a pile driver, they are holding the person by their legs or ankles, but in real life I have never seen anyone that does that. You wrap your arms around their waist.

Lock Jaw 03-21-2011 04:47 PM

Thing is, later in the issue Lex Luger does a piledriver and they draw him with the arms around the waist like it should be.

Well it isn't just that comic book. In Futurama, Leeha gives Amy a piledriver in Jurassic Bark. Again Leeha is hold Amy the same way. In street fighter, Zangief graps the other guy by the ankles for the pile driver.

Looks a lot like how the generic or non-movable wrestling toy figures were like when trying to do moves.

Ultra Mantis 03-21-2011 07:14 PM

Cody Rhodes has somehow become my favourite wrestler, his character development this past year has been incredible.

In an interview done for the latest issue of WWE Magazine, Shawn Michaels had the following to say about Ric Flair coming out of retirement and getting back into the ring:

"So many people ask me about Ric, and whether his return bothers me. I always say, 'Absolutely not.' One match at Wrestlemania XXIV - that moment - was truly 100 percent real to me. And it was real to him. And that's never going to change. I want Ric to be happy. And to be perfectly honest, I know he's happiest when he's in the ring. That moment will always be very special to me."

I LOVED that theme. He came back after an injury, short lived weight loss, and a 1st place at a lifting competition as fresh fuel for the "World's Strongest Man" gimmick. Was face for a couple of weeks using both this theme, then the one it was changed to that sounds "close enough" then briefly dissappeared again before being paired with Rodney Mack and Teddy Long. From what I heard, it was the sample from that Antiloop song being uncleared is why it was so briefly used.
