JBL prevented Del Rio from illegally immigrating through the Texas-Mexico border in 2004, hence the reason Del Rio only recently arrived in the WWE.

I was a small child when this happened, but when I later saw it on the 'net, I thought it was for real...some people on YouTube include it in some "wrestling gone bad" videos, as if to say, "This is not staged"...

randy-orton-talks-wrestlemania-wwe-all-stars-rock

Quote:

Robinson: The Rock recently came back to WWE. What do you think of his return so far, and what can we expect to happen when he's actually live on Raw this Monday and he's finally inside the same ring as John Cena and The Miz?

Orton: That's an interesting topic. I know them both and I know Cena a lot better than I know The Rock, obviously, but I've been in the ring with both cutting promos and wrestling. I have to say, though, talking about the whole ring rust thing, John Cena has had about 2,000 matches in the last seven years. The Rock? A big, fat zero. So when it comes to ring rust, I don't care what type of athlete you are, and The Rock is obviously an athletic dude, but Cena has been in the ring. He's been at every show and in every show and making appearances and he has been on the road with the WWE over 300 days a year for the last seven years. The Rock? Virtually nonexistent. You see the interviews that The Rock does and he says that he doesn't want to be known as a wrestler. He doesn't want to be known as a sports entertainer or a performer with WWE or a WWE superstar. He wants to be known as an actor. Now all of a sudden he's back in our world telling the fans what they want to hear. He's telling them, "I promise that I will never go away again. I promise that I'm back for good and that I'm here to stay." He said that, what, six or seven weeks ago? Have we even seen him live since then? No. Via satellite. I think Cena will own The Rock. I think Cena is wittier and can go off the cuff. Cena writes his own stuff, while The Rock has stuff written for him. It just all comes down to who you are in the ring and what kind of performer you are in the ring, and I think Cena is 10 times the performer in the ring that The Rock is. This Monday in Chicago, he'll prove it.

VSG 03-27-2011 02:13 PM

How "legit" is BCW?

DaBrasko 03-27-2011 02:18 PM

Mostly fund raising and charity work. From what I'm told they were part of awa like 10 years ago. In the past year they have been trying to put on more shows. We have had shows ever Saturday for the past year. Its all really low grade stuff, but we are getting a little following in the towns we run. We all are pretty green.

Rammsteinmad 03-27-2011 02:22 PM

Good stuff. :y:

Which one were you though? Both of you look like pretty big guys? Were you the jobber?

VSG 03-27-2011 02:26 PM

What? There is the big guy with the girl manager and the other guy who is smaller.

VSG 03-27-2011 02:42 PM

A fixed schedule for each saturday sounds much more organized than most other outfits. Hope it works out for you guys.

P.S Get that girl manager working for you :naughty:

DaBrasko 03-27-2011 02:43 PM

I was the smaller jobber lol. I weigh about 220, the other guy weights about 350.

DaBrasko 03-27-2011 02:51 PM

Haha there is a loooooooong story behind all that. The short version is she is married to another guy in this little group I have. The big guy I worked in that match and my friend were apart of a tag team with the girl as the manager. I did some heelish tactics and split the team up.

This match was the first time we ran in this town. Duke and I got sent out as the first match to try to get the crowd popping for the rest of the card. That's the explanation for all the big spots throughout the match.

VSG 03-27-2011 02:53 PM

Ah so you are a heel? Seems all the TPWW amateurs are heels.

DaBrasko 03-27-2011 02:57 PM

Well I work for another group about 90 miles away as a baby, so it really just depends on the group I'm working for at the time. I prefer heel, though. heels usually control the pace of the match and call it out there. It takes a good heel to get a crowd to give a shit about a baby face and I like the challenge.

Londoner 03-27-2011 03:25 PM

Just been watching the Chris Jericho DVD, fucking awesome is all i gotta say.

I haven't watched the match but you go out and pop a crowd with a bunch of big spots in the opener, you can damage the rest of the show. They've already seen a bunch of big spots from the get-go so why would they care when somebody else comes out later for the 'important' matches and does the same? You just need to get them involved, they've seen nothing at that point so they'll pop for simple punches and kicks for 8-10 minutes if you do them properly and at the right time.

VSG 03-27-2011 05:30 PM

Visited wwe.com after a month or so to see a radically new design. Looks a lot like a forum board now.

VSG 03-27-2011 05:34 PM

Oh, and for the Mizfits:

Cool King 03-27-2011 05:42 PM

I didn't know about WWE.com changing it's layout.

I just checked it out there and it's a bit weird at first. Some things do remind me of a forum though and I noticed that you can't get to EuroShop via WWE.com anymore.

So now that'll have to be done via Google.

Ya, looks like The Miz is not moving out of the main event scene for a while now. Hopefully.

I don't remember putting this online. Thought I left it in my private files.

Lock Jaw 03-27-2011 06:17 PM

Friggin' HATE it when people say "no pun intended". Feels like such a waste. Should always, ALWAYS, intend the pun.

Lock Jaw 03-27-2011 06:18 PM

Puns just aren't appreciated nowadays. There was this pun contest awhile back... I think I entered around... ten, maybe. I was hoping at least one of them would win.

But no pun in ten did.

screech 03-27-2011 06:26 PM

I see what you did there.
