I wouldn’t have even known it was a joke. AEW’s not very far away from needing to pay people to go to some of their shows as they chew up markets.

The Double or Nothing card looks FUCKING TERRIBLE. It’s not even a case of a what would be a good card on paper in a wrestling promotion likely sucking because of AEW. It looks fucking ludicrous.

* Adam Cole legitimately has me concerned about him. Something is not right there. He’s another guy getting a push that just isn’t working.

* Why is Wardlow in a Ladder Match? Why can’t this be straight singles? What a use of Christian Cage. This should be a house show circuit thing for Wardlow to help him learn. Christian could take the losses there and it wouldn’t matter.

3 years is a lightning fast dev time so your sarcasm doesnt really work. Excluding iteratives the average for double A titles is 4 years with AAA titles at 5 years and projected to balloon to 7 years over the course of this genration.

Titles like Fifa, NBA 2k, Madden, etc arent new games every year. Theyre the same game tweaked slightly year after year. You're paying for a roster update and some gameplay tweaks. The core coding and underlying architecture is the same year over year. They arent starting from 0.

For instance if this managed to make enough to fund a 2024 update they could use that time, obviously, update the roster and continue to refine the core systems. Maybe add a match mode or two for the back the of the box marketing. But it would be the same game. It could be a million percent better in a years time but it would essentially be an alpha vs a beta build.

And make no mistake this could very easily be an alpha build sent to market a year early. That is my primary concern. The game needed a industry standard dev time and didnt have the funds to get it. That would essentially make this game the "go fund me" for the new AKI game we've been wanting for decades for.

Tl;dr you're really in the dark on this topic. Make fun of visuals, sure. Not a point of interest for me personally but im a guy who picked Triangle Strategy as my 2022 GotY. Visuals arent something that makes me open my wallet. Ultra low priority. Graphics fanboys are def going to have a good time at the all you can eat meme machine that this will offer. It seems like the opposite of what happened to Chris Hero in NXT. Instead of ballooning up and getting chunky, Adam has cut weight and gotten doughy.

I'm less of a stickler about the "tan" thing, because he's still a white guy to me at the end of the day unless you get to the point of leathering or spraying on way too much bronzer and it looks fucking stupid. But he looks like he said "fuck the gym" since he doesn't have to hit it super hard anymore without the WWE over his shoulder. And maybe he didn't. For all we know, he might be working out as much as he ever has... and that would make it a larger problem, since he shouldn't be losing mass and tone like that if he's grinding like that.

Hell, even when WALTER/GUNTHER first dropped weight, it didn't look quite right. He lost it relatively quickly, and even with it cut and being "in shape", it initially looked all gristly. Soon after, it started getting more proportional and less like his body was eating itself.

I know the criticisims seem hyperbolic, but there's something about Adam Cole's physique diminishment that doesn't seem natural. Almost like he's hiding an ailment he doesn't want to make public. And if that isn't the case, it's almost worse than if it were, because some sort of disease or ailment would at least be an excuse. If he isn't sick, then he just got lazy in a business where a big part of your image is how you look.

I wish i werr joking when i suggested AIDS but his weight loss, mass loss, and sunken features remind of a guy I knew. It happened super fast and left a skeleton looking human at a weirdly fast rate. At first i though he just got lazy but he's looking ill at this point.
