WWE films should at least attempt a group action film starring multiple wrestlers. It's worth a shot and just to see where it stands with the audience.

I can't see it being any less successful than what they've done, and it could lead to them going in a new direction with these things.

TheAdamEvansFan 04-10-2011 08:12 PM

John Morrison would do great in WWE Films as surfer or something cool.

WWE should buy some backyard wrestling tapes and use them as a don't try this at home. This is why you shouldn't do it at home or at school.

SlickyTrickyDamon 04-10-2011 09:55 PM

The typical WWE film is sticking a superstar around somewhat famous actors and actresses. The Condemned had Vinnie Jones, Knucklehead had Malora Hardin from the Office, Legendary had Danny Glover, Patricia Clarkson and the girl who plays Becca Moody on Califonication and Chaperone had Lisa Simpson and the crazy guy from Grounded for Life/Superbad.

The next movie (That's what I am) has Randy Orton in it, but in a pretty small role. The movie got a good review and has been seen in a few film festivals. If this movie is a success I think that this will be the standard you will see WWE movies in the future. The superstars will have a role in it, but established stars will be in the leading role.

I don't think you will see The Rock in a WWE films movie again. He might wrestle at WrestleMania, but he won't lend his good name to a sinking ship like WWE Films.

TheAdamEvansFan 04-10-2011 10:21 PM

I completely disagree. I think one of the reasons he returned was to bring his expertise and name recognition to WWE Films.

I think Dwayne and Freddie Prince Jr can revamp WWE Films.

Films like Chaperone and Knucklehead were doomed to fail due to poor character/shitty storylines.

I thought Legendary was great but Cena is too built for that role.

It doesn't take much for an audience to get into a movie, just a realistic plot that they can pretend to be true, not a stupid spoof.

TheAdamEvansFan 04-10-2011 10:23 PM

If The Rock wants to stick around the WWE Audience but not make his welcome run dry, what better way then WWE Films?

Where he has the experience, name recognition, and audience to bring something to the table.

I not only see it happening soon, I'm absolutely positive it's a part of the rekindled relationship between WWE and The Rock.

FourFifty 04-10-2011 11:05 PM

I don't think I'll check in on this thread, so feel free to call me a fag or a cunt or anything.

Goldust introduced me to my favorite movie, with his first Royal Rumble Return promo from 2002.
"Winter must me cold for those with no warm memories."
He quoted An Affair To Remember, and a week later I HAD to see it. Scoped it out, and it has been my favorite movie ever since.

Lock Jaw 04-10-2011 11:07 PM

John Cena's Rock n' Wrestling

FourFifty 04-10-2011 11:14 PM

If MGM can make a comeback, WWE Films will have to try to die.

I wouldn't mind seeing WWE make a remake of An Affair To Remember. Replace Cary Grant with John Morrison, Deborah Kerr with legit actress, Deborah Kerr's boyfriend with Ted Jr... Yea, I'd watch that movie.

Damian Rey 04-10-2011 11:32 PM

Isn't Ed Harris on that Randy Orton project? If so, he lends instant credibility to that film on name recognition alone. This is a legitimate Hollywood A lister who has been apart of some great, well recieved films over the last handful of years.

What WWE needs to do is stop going the cliche movie route, and start actually looking for ideas that aren't getting greenlit elsewhere for whatever reasons. If they really want to thrive, they need to find scripts of solid to good quality, and if they'd like to put one of their stars in it, fine, but it has to be something that plays to their strength.

They keep doing cliche action, comedy and drama films, and none of them are well recieved. Not one. You would think with all the films they've pumped out, one of them would be decent. I think the best one critically might have been See No Evil.

I don't think the Rock would lose credibility in doing a WWE film at this point. As long as the film is solid, and isn't a weekend only release only to be on DVD a week after, I'm sure he'd bite.

FourFifty 04-10-2011 11:35 PM

Hasn't The Rock done a live action non-cult following Disney flick, for God's sake? The Rock could say he's doing a film for Orion right now and he won't lose what credibility he has as an actor.

TheAdamEvansFan 04-10-2011 11:57 PM

Planet 51/Toothfairy were great films for children.

If The Rock did a childrens movie with Cena for WWE Films, it could be huge (if it was animated) as I don't see Cena doing too well in a childrens film due to his build.

I wouldn't mind seeing Dwayne, Sin Cara, Mysterio, Santino, Kofi Kingston, Booker T, and Del Rio in some type of Gang related film, drama/suspense that portrays them as two rival gangs, the blacks vs the hispanics with a group of rogue cops that have been given special authority to take them out (Steve Austin, Cena, Undertaker, Miz, etc)

Craig T. Nelson 04-11-2011 12:19 AM

these ideas are terrible

wwe films should drop wwe from their name and just act like any other studio. dont hire wrestlers

WWE angers PETA

We’ve now learned some more EXCLUSIVE details on the live horse incident at WrestleMania 28. I never thought I’d write that!! (Apparently a horse raped Vickie Guerrero backstage)

According to our source, the horse was a ‘Clydesdale’. Wikipedia says “The Clydesdale is a breed of draft horse derived from the farm horses of Clydesdale, Scotland, and named after that region.” Our source says Triple H couldn’t guide the massive animal away from the trap door, which had a casket (this would hold The Undertaker). That would then rise to the top of the stage during the entrances. According to the source, the horse fell through the stage with Triple H riding it and crushed the casket during the rehearsal. ‘Taker was not inside at the time.

The arena was immediately cleared of staff members and rehearsal was canceled. We’ve been told that the horse was stuck for hours and almost had to be euthanized due to the extreme stress it had suffered. WWE crew members also had to dismantle the stage so the horse could be freed.

WWE management then made the call that it was not worth the risk and plans were scrapped.

More shortly.

Thanks to “Tie Guy” for his help with this report.

--------------------------------------------------------------

According to a source for Adam Evans, Peta has been informed about the incident and is in talks with WWE representatives to have a Animal Tribute at next weeks Raw and to also have appropriate sessions with wrestlers about the careful handling of animals while performing as entertainers.

Representatives were somewhat pleased when they heard that the Wrestlemania plans were scrapped, but didn't enjoy the horse being stuck in a casket in rehearsel.

TMZ has picked up on this incident due to Adam Evans sending footage to The Onion.

Stay Tuned.

Yea...both films were recieved terribly by film critics. They are, in fact, horrible.

Tell PETA to go fuck a landfish and blow a seakitten.

In all seriousness, I hate to hear about the stress the animal went through but PETA is on my shitbag fruit loop crazy liberal agenda of socialism and destrucity list.

Kane Knight 04-11-2011 12:57 AM

I'm surprised PETA never protested WWE's captivity of the animal Batista.

Once, millions of Batistas roamed free along the countryside. This noble beast was forced to spend years walking for miles inside a pit of danger....

TheAdamEvansFan 04-11-2011 12:59 AM

Did you watch them?

Legendary brought a tear to my eye.

See No Evil made me cringe in utter horror!

Looks like they did what they were suppose to do!

Sucka!

Speaking of horrible, I googled Horrible and it came up with Damian Rey.

TheAdamEvansFan 04-11-2011 01:00 AM

Yeah, Batista was an animal, sexing up all the women in the back, even the taken ones!!!

Wonder if Stephanie ever got a piece of The Animal?

Actually I would bet Triple H's family migrated down from Canada during the late 19th or early 20th century. Lots of Frenchies moved down to his part of New England (southern NH, northern MA) around that time.
