James Irvin is the name batted around. They are doing 2 more fights on the show so now it's a 13 fight card. Also talk of putting Matt Hughes on the show or more moving Ortiz vs. Machida on the show instead of the Vegas one. Even rumours UFC is trying to mend fences with Extreme Couture.

RP 04-22-2008 08:41 AM

I think they should send Kalin Starnes vs Travis Lutter over there. Starnes would when by TKO in the 2nd round when Lutter get gas'ed chasing him around the ring.

thats weird. Cuz it really looked like theres something behind them letting go sylvia and then him getting the fight with fedor like a day later. Looks like they were trying to fuck up randy's dream fight to me.

Not even funny. These two should never be allowed to be inflicted on anyone ever!

And Starnes wouldn't win by KO because he would have to throw a punch first.

Y2Ant 04-22-2008 12:22 PM

Liddell still wanted to fight even though he tore his hamstring :o

gutted :(

Rob 04-22-2008 12:23 PM

On the London show, don't know if it's the main event or just another big fight but I heard from a very reliable source Michael Bisping will be fighting Chris Leben or Jason McDonald.

NAH, Lutter would just pass out unconcious from exhaustion.

Reavant 04-22-2008 05:32 PM

I think the next question is when is Hughes and Serra going to happen

Rob 04-23-2008 11:57 AM

By the way, I want everyone to remember what I said about Bisping from "my source" whenever anyone questions me on either this forum or the wrestling one. And feel free to check the time I posted it against any website who posts it after.

Of course, it if doesn't happen, forget everything :D

The CyNick 04-23-2008 03:25 PM

Putting Bisping on the London card makes a lot of sense, even though its such a quick turnaround. Big props to him, if he does take a fight to help out the company. I think he could take either Leben or Macdonald, so both seem like good fights for him.

I would just throw Okami vs Silva on the show as the main event. The way I see it, Silva wasnt going to be on the July show (Rampage vs Forrest) and likely wouldnt be on the August show (Brock vs Coleman). So its not like they need him anytime soon to headline. Assuming both guys are healthy, I would do that fight. It would also plant the seeds of Bisping vs Silva down the line (maybe next year in England).

If you did all of that, you could get Irvin vs Rashad, Bisping vs Leben/McDonald and Silva vs Okami. That a pretty good substitute for Liddell.

Lasnar is gonna fight Mark Coleman??

Reavant 04-24-2008 01:56 AM

You never knew this? It was announced on a UFC PPV ages ago.

Rich Clementi is fighting on the next show! Now that's a warrior. Replaces Rob Emerson against Terry Etim.

My brother dropped his digi cable so I haven't watch a full PPV in a while..

:'(

Why do you think I bother you to link me to fights every month??

:o

Rob 04-24-2008 02:39 PM

Looks like it could be Nog vs. Mir in London for the title too.

Reavant 04-24-2008 06:49 PM

man how pissed would werdum be

Rob 04-25-2008 03:56 AM

Well Werdum is already fighting on the show. I know they were also seriously considering Gonzaga to fight Nog in London too but if he fights, it's against Mir.

Yeah I heard about this, pretty crazy. Rich is a beast for taking that fight.

Reavant 04-25-2008 04:10 PM

I really dont like Rich but i have a ton of respect for him doing this. Although almost any fighter that is in it because they love the sport would try to fight every show too.

Rob 04-25-2008 04:16 PM

Matt Hughes vs. Thiago Alves is on for the London show.

Kris P Lettus 04-25-2008 05:45 PM

Thiago is going to fuck him up..

Reavant 04-25-2008 07:16 PM

god damnit... I want to see hughes fight serra

RP 04-26-2008 03:10 AM

You know what. I'm taking Hughes in that one. I think Alves is still a tad bit raw. Especially for someone like Hughes. I think Matt will get a big time win here.

HeartBreakMan2k 04-26-2008 04:21 PM

I'm fucking excited and angry at the same time right now. Raleigh is having the first MMA (legal) card in NC in 14 years and I'm off the show because I've been out with an injury for two months. I'm excited we finally became legal here but it just bums me out to know that for 12 years I've drove out of state to compete and I'm missing my first shot to do it in my own state. Lots of my buddies are on the card though, Team R.O.C.; we have the most fighters on the card.

Rob 04-26-2008 08:24 PM

There is something about this site that makes people want to do real fights. I've been seriously considering doing one fight (and probably just one fight) for a good few months now.

HeartBreakMan2k 04-27-2008 03:33 AM

Rob, brother - there really is nothing like it. Like I said, even missing this one I've done several cards in VA and SC just because it wasn't legal here and been working towards progressing myself for MMA for 12 years (started with a wrestling base). There is nothing on this planet like stepping into a cage with someone else and just going all out.

Rob 04-27-2008 11:13 AM

Chances are your MMA skills are at a better level than mine though. My BJJ is decent and stand up is coming along. There are no wrestlers here in England though so that aspect is always gonna be shit. Plus I'm weighing just over 190lbs now and probably shouldn't even think about it until I get closer to 170lbs.

Reavant 04-27-2008 12:30 PM

thats why u cut weight haha

Rob 04-27-2008 02:24 PM

I could cut 7lbs no problems now but I'd still look and feel worse not being a smaller weight. Plus I've no intention of doing this more than once.

Reavant 04-27-2008 03:40 PM

if u did it right u could cut to 170 from where ur at no problem

Reavant 04-27-2008 03:40 PM

i mean it would be hard but u wouldnt have to cut off a limb if you get what im saying

Rob 04-27-2008 03:54 PM

I'm not in good enough shape now to even think of it. And it ain't even worth discussing since I'm not doing it until I get a purple belt at least and I'm never gonna cut over 20lbs for anything, nevermind a fight.

HeartBreakMan2k 04-27-2008 04:02 PM

Yeah, i was never really a fan of cutting :o

Not even for wrestling. I always stayed pretty healthy and close to my competition weight so I never typically had to cut more than 10 lbs. I know I could if I needed to because cutting never really was hard for me, just had no desire to drop a weight class.

Confused 04-27-2008 06:35 PM
