Why does the NHL play the 2 Conference final games on the same night?

I found that so stupid, why not have a game on every night until the finals :(

Oh and as previously stated about Nabokov, there are a few goalies in the league who cant handle not playing for strong teams.
Osgood and Backstrom are are ones that come to mind. Osgood is terrible when with Detroit and worse when not and Backstrom crumples when facing 15+ shots a night now... |
I also find it bullshit that the conference finals are not on alternating nights. Instead, on the same night, on the same network. So if the first game goes to OT, I miss the beginning of the second game. Fucking bullshit, especially because The Sharks are always the second game!

The overtime period seemed to be going well for Sharks, too. It was that one last play, weak defense, and Nabby not paying attention that was the difference between the win and the loss.
