I doubt he would be the greatest IC Champion of all-time or anything, and there are certainly better things you could do with the belt, but Slater winning would be a fun little distraction, and the heel that beats him up and takes the belt is going to have more heat than if they beat Jason Jordan or whatever.

Nexus were motherfucking shit hot, and at the time it was one of the most interesting storylines they'd done in years. And SummerSlam pissed it all away.

Asuka got injured at Takeover Brooklyn III and whatever plans the WWE had for her are now on hold for at least 2 months.

Should make an interim women's championship so asuka doesn't have to vacate the title. Then have an undisputed championship match when she returns.

Yeah, it's always been a thought that's terrified me. And as a bodybuilder he had to be eating a ton in order to maintain his size, especially in-season. Probably loads and loads of chicken, broccoli, and rice and the like. And at a certain point I'd imagine you get bored of it and are just kinda "shoveling it in" quickly.

This looks recent. Those two work well together. Sin Cara is...it's just hard to care about him at this stage, but the dude has got something there. He's really strong for his size, and there are ways to bring that out. I dunno, I don't think he would have been huge or anything, but I just think his stature is way below where he could be.

Thought this was pretty interesting. Someone on r/SquaredCircle made a graph of WWE/World/Universal title defenses and the possible correlation to ratings for RAW.

Pretty much the more title defenses happened on RAW in a given year, the better the yearly ratings were while Triple H's Reign of Terror started the current trend of having a lot less title defenses on RAW. Also 2011/2012 being where RAW's trend downward was too much for title defenses to be a factor anymore.

According to one of the wrestlers contracted by ITV for their World of Sport project, Jeff Jarrett is the official reason why the project is basically dead.

ITV wanted to do 10 week type seasons but Jarrett kept fighting to make it a weekly show like Impact. The amount of bickering between both sides meant ITV couldn't go forward with their plans leaving everything in limbo. Main issue was the contracts for wrestlers were only written for 10 shows per season and wrestlers refused to work with GFW/Impact because of Jarrett's meddling.

The Hacksaw Jim Duggan/Sean Mooney podcast is such a fun listen. Not the most historically accurate and Duggan tends to repeat the same stories over and over, but it's a lot of fun to listen to.

Too bad Duggan stank in the WWF. Mega over though, I'll say that.

Stank I guess is harsh. But his matches were pretty much just gaga no-finishes and a lot of stalling. His promos were "YEAH USA WOOOOO" and he honestly didn't have real memorable feuds. It's actually crazy that he was such a draw, all things considered.

And I respect that he's kept healthy and isn't a stupid bitter piece of shit.

Most WWF matches at that time were non-finishes. Whenever I go back and watch a match between two mid to upper card guys that I don't remember, I have no question it's gonna end with a countout or DQ. There were major feuds that would just end without a finish in the ring. lol
