Matt Hughes saved that card IMO. And yeah, fuck you guys I'm still a Matt Hughes fan. Yay wrestlers.

HeartBreakMan2k 04-27-2008 10:14 PM

Oh, and 'big shock' Chuck pulled out of the card he didn't want to do in the first place with an 'injury'.

Kris P Lettus 04-27-2008 10:15 PM

I like wrestlers..

It's uppity redneck dickheads that I don't like..

Nah, holy shit though.

Reavant 04-28-2008 01:14 AM

i guess he coooould have used make-up..... just to play some devils advocate here

Rob 04-28-2008 05:35 AM

Chuck wanted to fight though and was doing promotion for weeks here. Once he was told to fight here, I wouldn't doubt he was all business from that point on.

Yeah. From what i read it was Chucks coach, John Hackleman ( sp ), who didn't want the fight to take place in London.

Pretty sure Chuck would fight in the backlot if asked.

Rob 04-28-2008 09:48 AM

I've heard something about having to pay 2 lots of taxes when you fight in England but I don't know how true that is.

Reavant 04-28-2008 11:14 AM

HAHA I just found this big thread that Starnes put up on sherdog... I know that no one wants to hear about him anymore but this is pretty good:

RP 04-28-2008 12:17 PM

like it was said, chuck would fight anywhere as long as he can punch you in the face.

Rob 05-02-2008 08:21 PM

Travis Lutter and Joe Doerksen both released.

Kendell Grove will be fired when he loses next month too.

Rob 05-02-2008 08:36 PM

To the Brits

I have a couple of spare tickets for the UFC show in London on the go if anyone fancies it.

Vastardikai 05-03-2008 11:43 PM

Saw Lutter's firing coming: he is a threat to anyone who can't get out of his submissions in the first round. Otherwise, he's a pushover.

HeartBreakMan2k 05-03-2008 11:54 PM

Anyone watching the Dream II show?

Kris P Lettus 05-04-2008 02:31 AM

Is Dream PPV??

HeartBreakMan2k 05-04-2008 03:00 AM

Yeah, or channel-surfing.net stream.

Gonzo 05-06-2008 12:40 PM

Probably not, I got cheaper tix.

I was supposed to be going to England around that time for work, but that fell through, so now I have no (free) way of getting there.

Rob 05-07-2008 01:55 PM

You looking to lose them then?

Kris P Lettus 05-07-2008 09:41 PM

Rob 05-09-2008 03:52 AM

Bisping vs. Leben and Kelly vs. Goulet are both off. UFC is lining up replacement fights for the Brits.

Confused 05-11-2008 07:51 AM

Bit pissed that Leben isn't fighting. Thought Bisping and him would have been an absolute war. But i suppose theres little the UFC can do.

Kris P Lettus 05-11-2008 02:05 PM

Can't believe Leban isn't going to fight do to a DUI arrest from 3 years ago..

Fuck the police..

Kris P Lettus 05-11-2008 02:08 PM

Rob, what was his probation violation or whatever?? Like, what did he do to deserve jail time??

Rob 05-11-2008 03:06 PM

Yeah it's a probation violation from a DUI in 2005. He couldn't leave the country without handing himself in.

Kris P Lettus 05-11-2008 03:11 PM

What was the violation though?? I read he's having to serve 35 day in the pokie, and will only be release like two weeks before the fight, but I wonder what he did to fuck up his probation..

Rob 05-11-2008 03:13 PM

The DUI.

Kris P Lettus 05-11-2008 03:15 PM

So he got a DUI in 2005 that he was on probation for, and since got another DUI, which he's having to serve time for??

Rob 05-11-2008 03:33 PM

As far as I know, the first.

Kris P Lettus 05-11-2008 03:39 PM

Yeah but he had to do something to violate his probation..

Rob 05-11-2008 03:49 PM

He no showed several mandated drink education classes. Apparently he was expecting a fine. Oh well.
