I hope that's the Superbowl matchup.

RP 10-14-2007 06:49 PM

rofl@ the shot of Owens raising an eyebrow. I have a feeling he's gunna make another huge play before this is over.

RP 10-14-2007 06:55 PM

ROFL Barber just punched Harrison in the face to end a run.

SammyG 10-14-2007 07:08 PM

The Patriots are going 16-0 this year.

Harrison got absolutely worked in that game...other than that though the Patriots pretty much dominated.

Stallworth, Moss, Welker

Come on

RP 10-14-2007 08:28 PM

I'm so happy the Pats won. I want them going as strong as possible coming into November 4th. It'll be that much more devestating when the Colts drop the hammer on those cheaters.

BUT HE'S A DEFENSIVE GENIUS!!!!!

VonErichLives 10-14-2007 09:13 PM

wow, the afc is just that better then the nfc... it's like the 1980's when the NFC dominated.

i give Romo a lot of credit, he hangs in and keeps going, doesn't really get rattled.

on the flip side, TO is a big pussy... he left that note he'd talk about him and moss after the game.

reporter "how did moss do today"
to - "next question"

grow a pair of balls... is it that hard to say "he had a good game". really, he creates more of a story by trying to create less... would have been funny if the Pats were passing out popcorn after the game.

oh and can someone from dallas tell me, who was the idiot who asked Brady after the game "seemed like the defense was doing the jitterbug while you and stallworth were doing the charlston"? WTF was that...

next week will be the trap games... indy @ jacksonville and NE at Miami/

hope both teams stay undefeated... well, actually i could care less if the Colts are undefeated a wins a win, and actually making the colts 6-2 and the pats 8-0 would be even better, especially setting up homefield for the playoffs.

ya know what's really scary about this pats team?

They're best Defensive player is out.
They're starting RB is out, their backup went out...

it's not just the pure talent, it's the depth... can't wait for indy... that will be the real test for both teams. Can't wait to see this offense on turf in the dome... have a feeling it will be shoot out.

Crimson 10-14-2007 10:16 PM

fuck the Patriots for not kneeling down that last TD..lol but whatever..pretty much went down the way I figured, Pats had too much offense for a weak Dallas secondary. I see them going 15-1..Cowboys probably like 12-4 or something.

What's the td pass record? Brady will break that.

OssMan 10-14-2007 10:19 PM

Does the fucking same thing happen every year. The Patriots and Colts go undefeated and their fans keep saying how they want each other to stay undefeated so when they meet in week 9 it will be a bigger game. So dum

#1-norm-fan 10-14-2007 10:26 PM

I thought Dallas played a good game against one of the most well-rounded teams in NFL history. Our defense couldn't stop NE from controlling the clock but they made a couple very big plays. We're on our way. Offensively, we played much better than the stats show. Barber is just ridiculous and Romo had a great game against a great D. Owens even just edged Moss stats-wise. Just couldn't get the ball enough to put up lots of yards. Also, penalties, mainly the one when Barber converted 4th and 1 hurt. We would have regained the lead and changed the game entirely.

I really would not mind facing the Pats again if we make it to the Super Bowl. I think we're capable of taking them down.

mrslackalack 10-14-2007 10:32 PM

Supreme is right, if the Bengals dont turn things around Lewis is prolly gone. Many fans want him fired.

lol... so just the fact that they lost their starting RB and backup, proves their depth at the position? The guys behind them don't have to play well or anything? Sammy Morris ran 10 times for 14 yards... how does that show depth?

mrslackalack 10-14-2007 10:34 PM

Man if the Pats and Colts are still unbeaten when they play all ESPN will talk about and cover nonstop 24/7 leading up to that game that week will be that.

OssMan 10-14-2007 10:41 PM

the best player on the cowboys is marion barber 3 hands down, i still refuse to think that any of their players are really that good besides him and they are just incredibly lucky. that play where he lost 3 yards and then lost 5 yards and then ran across the endzone 5 yards and then gained 10 yards was kinda ridiculous.

I am adopting Green Bay and Cleveland as my replacement team(s) for the rest of the year. Go Go Derek Anderson!

Nervous Ferret 10-14-2007 11:06 PM

Also not going to be watching any sports coverage weeks 8-10 because all anyone will talk about is the Pats/Colts buildup, the Pats/Colts and the Pats/Colts fallout

Even though they won and all, I don't understand the Saints playcalling at the end of the game. Like 4 minutes in the game and they're calling stupid incomplete passes. Just run up the middle 3 times and eat chunks of time off the clock, why is that such a hard concept?

Also, I think after Favre eventually retires in 2012, if Reggie Bush is still playing I think he's going to be John Madden's new boytoy. Jesus Christ they mention him every 4 seconds.

Nervous Ferret 10-14-2007 11:33 PM

It's all about penetration to the A-hole with Bush

Jesus Shuttlesworth 10-14-2007 11:33 PM

Yeah that last TD was a little unnecessary but in fairness I think they just wanted to get Eckel a TD

couple points in fairness.

1) Dallas was still "playing" had Dallas not used their last timeout even though they clearly had not shot left at winning the game then NE would have been able to kneel down w/o turning over the ball and run out the clock, but Dallas used that time out, an all the pats did was simple run plays with their 3rd string RB and Dallas couldn't stop them.

2) as Stima pointed out, I also think it had to do with getting Eckel a TD, he was a pratice squad guy belicheck really liked, he was cut i think during camp, went to miami was cut and belicheck grabbed him for the pratice squad, there's a good chance this will be the only TD of his career... same thing with letting Vinny throw that TD last year (although, now with Vinny it was a moot point).

That play was un-real, wasn't rooting for the Cowboys but that was a great play.

brady's on pace for 56... doubt it will happan... if it does, would someone please video tape RP's head exploding?

oh, and for everyone who's complaining about the Pats/Colts buildup... oh well, guess your teams have to do better... the NFL is the best league for an even playing field, the draft, the salary cap, look at all the teams that make the playoffs one year and not the next.

The Colts and Pats simply have better management then the rest of the league, better coaches, gm's and owners, which allows them to do it year after year. Once you get there then top players late in their career will play for you for a paycut so they can win a ring. Just like the 49'ers and Cowboys of the 80's/90's.

I guess TECHNICALLY that is a correct statement. I don't think you ever said they had GOOD depth at every position...

ok, let me try this again because I don't think we're communicating.

#1 RB is Maroney
#2 RB is Morris

Morris left the game with an injury, so his 10 for 14 in the game is an incomplete stat, since had he stayed in the game he'd most likely have 20+ and most likely a higher avg per carry and I base that off the last 2 weeks and even his season stats which even including yesterdays stats he's still 4.5yds per carry.

so yeah, this team has good depth, same thing with the Colts, Harrison and Addai injured? no problem, they still win.

mrslackalack 10-15-2007 12:32 PM

Assman I never have been a fan of comma splices lol.

C'mon Kris P, it really wasn't that bad of a hit, and nobody really deserves to get hurt.

I played O and D Line for 6 years and constantly had guys going low.. Blocking at the knees is hella dirty no matter how you look at it.. Deuce was going for a catch and came down wrong, completly different thing..

Anyway, our D looked outstanding last night.. Pressure on Hasselbeck all night.. Reggie and Brees also looked good, but I think that we should use Karney in the running game more due to Deuce's injury.. Using him between tackles would take alot off Bush and Stecker..

Last night was what I thought the Titans game would be..

Can't wait for the Falcons..

Who Dat??

You are questioning the Saints play calling when the Seahawks could've made a chip shot FG to make it a one possesion game and had a chance at an onsides kick but instead go for the TD on 4th down eliminating any chance they had??

Hater..

I'm not saying the 'Hawks played a perfect game either, I just am always baffled when teams are playing with the lead and don't do something so simple as merely running the ball 3 times to eat time off the clock. Even if you don't get a first down, you make it so much harder for the opposing team to come back by limiting the time the have to work with.

Also, I agree with you sort of but at the same time I can see why the 'Hawks went for it. You need two scores either way, and yeah you could get an easy FG but you'd still need to get the ball back and drive down the field for a TD anyway, which is pretty unlikely anyway. One of those "rock and a hard place" situations.

OssMan 10-15-2007 10:29 PM

It is all about those atlanta falcons

mrslackalack 10-15-2007 10:44 PM

I'd LOL if the winless Dolphins somehow upset NE this Sunday.

It will be because the spirit of the '72 Dolphins are with them!!!!!

There is no way in hell New England loses to Miami.

#1-norm-fan 10-16-2007 04:31 AM

I have a feeling Miami will put up more of a fight than anyone expects them to.

Their best chance will probably be against the Giants. Which I will be at

Plaxico's ankle will swell up on the plane ride over the Atlantic due to high winds, and Shockey's head will burst.

Gonzo 10-16-2007 04:38 PM

The Jets or Bills will drop one to the Phins.
