Yes it is. No excuses. Can't believe all these fu</>cking cockney reds phoning up Talk Sport and saying Fergie should get sacked though. People should be killed for even thinking that! They were blaming Fergie for the strikers not scoring and O'Shea playing crap. How's that his fault?

Hired Hitman 10-30-2004 10:37 PM

Portsmouth

The Mask 10-31-2004 12:51 AM

fucking cockney reds?

robert, sit down and think about what you just said.

Rob Ban Fan 10-31-2004 10:40 AM

I honestly don't understand why its such a big shock to everyone that we won. We beat them last year, drew with Arsenal, drew with Newcastle, beat Liverpool twice, spanked various other teams. The fact is, we had the best home form in the league behind Arsenal, Chelsea and Man U last season, the same as Liverpool. Had we been better away from home we would've been pushing for Europe.

I was more confident of getting a result yesterday than I was when we played Spurs, Everton and Birmingham simply because I knew that unlike those teams, United would allow us to play football rather than stifle us and we were never not going to score.

Good times.

He should stop playing O'Shea really, I mean I'd like nothing more than to see him develop into a great player for Ireland's sake but hes looked terrible for United this year.. But yeah suggesting sacking the best manager in the history of the premiership is stupid.

Dazz 10-31-2004 03:35 PM

Fuck United, no one gives a shit.

Us scoring 4 in another game is the main issue of the weekend. And people say we're boring

Since I don't talk like an average Londoner and I wasn't born within a mile of the bow bells, I ain't cockney. Smart arse.

 Nobody cares about United? The only time you can get in the papers is when your players are caught taking drugs.

Wengerland 11-01-2004 10:11 AM

Wolves have sacked Dave Jones.

and the fact you haven't got a manager

Mr. Monday Morning 11-01-2004 02:16 PM

LOL yeah good one, we'll probably play better without him :|

The man will be remembered for a long time for finally getting us into the Prem but the start this season has been absolutely atrocious. Gillingham was just the icing on the cake. The season's not quite a write-off but it's going to take something spectacular for us to get promoted now.

As for replacements I dunno...foremost in my thinking tbh is John Gregory, he knows the area, did a good job at Villa (far as I'm concerned he didn't deserve to be sacked, Taylor came in and almost got them relegated, then O'Leary took basically the squad Gregory built and got them back into the top 6 or so) and to be quite honest he'd make a refreshing change as someone who isn't afraid to speak out and be blunt...not saying Jones didn't but too often there'd be excuses where blame should've been apportioned.

Ogen 11-01-2004 11:38 PM

Gregorys a dodgy fucker mind a lot of stories of Villla paying over the odds with money going his way. But still hes a decent manager but questions were asked over what he paid for some players ( I.E Balaban for 6 million )

Mr. Monday Morning 11-02-2004 11:05 AM

True, but in some cases he was also a victim of circumstance (ie Angel)

Dazz 11-02-2004 11:35 AM

Villa are being charged with making illegal approaches for James Beattie after having a 6million pound bid turned down in the summer.

Chelsea APPARENTLY want to get Dyer in January in exchange for Huth and some money :'(. Like we need another atacking midfielder, we should wait till the end of the season and see if Veron can get a new club or else we'll have Duff, Robben, Lampard, Veron, Cole and Dyer all fighting for three places. I realise Duff and Robben play out wide but Jose like playing them inside too.

Ian Rush has confirmed he is not going to be the new Wales manager, he would rather stay with Chester City

Ogen 11-02-2004 11:44 AM

Meh everyone makes illegal approaches all the time don't mean much really.

Dazz 11-02-2004 11:49 AM

Yeah but no one gets charged for it, Stam even admitted the whole United transfer was done illegally, Manchester United made illegal approaches to RvN (I.E inviting him to train with them in an attempt to lure him from PSV, without asking for PSV's permission) They got Barthez to speak to Vieira about moving to United apparently.

West Ham were accused by Newcastle of illegally tapping Bernard but nothing happened with this, I guess it might be lack of evidence of something, I dunno. Just have to wait and see what happens. I doubt there will be a bad punishment.

Actually West Ham did illegally approach Bernard and he actually signed a contract for them. Problem was he still had a year and a half left on his contract not half a year and so he had to return and was pretty much guilted into signing an extension. Probably why he doesn't want to sign a new contract now. To be fair I think it's more his dodgy agent filling his head with lies and nonsense which causes him to behave like this.

Oh and please take Dyer off our hands, he's not that much of a trouble maker and most certainly is not a waster...honest :shifty:.

Ricky 11-02-2004 03:55 PM

Franchise in the LDV tonight. That should be fun sitting in a stadium with 15 other people.

The Mackem 11-02-2004 07:32 PM

Wolves' misery and despair continues as they lose 3-1 to Sunderland. Sunderland move up to third.

I didn't know that about Bernard, I thought the Geordies accused West Aam of illegally approaching him but nothing happened, I guess I should have looked into it further.

We have enough midfeilders, we also have enough midfeilders who spend most of their time injured on the sidelines.

You can never have enough injury prone midfielders. We'll take Damien Duff and Gallas if it's such a problem ;).

Dazz 11-03-2004 07:34 AM

Which makes me wonder why we want to add Huth into the deal, when Gallas gets injured every other game we need another centre back.

Skeletor2 11-03-2004 12:10 PM

Well Mourinho has denied the rumours (I can't tell you how devastating it was to hear that Kieron Dyer won't be leaving). Souness has confirmed we are interested in Huth and Dawson. That's all well and good but what we need is experienced defenders. I think I may well die if any of our current center halves (bar Young Steven Taylor) are still here in 2 years.

Rob Ban Fan 11-03-2004 03:16 PM

didnt you buy Ronnie Johnsen?

Dazz 11-03-2004 03:26 PM

I don't wanna lose Huth, the guy has a great free kick and is fucking solid. He even provided evidence to Mourinho that he never said he wants to leave the club a few weeks ago

Yes and he was superb against Norwich in the Carling Cup. He made Bramble look brilliant too. I think he got injured afterwards (probably by breathing) as he missed the Bolton match and he hasn't been heard from since.

Rob Ban Fan 11-04-2004 10:59 AM

According to The Sun, Wolves are targetting Harry Redknapp as their next manager.

Adam...

Ogen 11-04-2004 12:02 PM

Why would he go there.

Mr. Monday Morning 11-04-2004 12:02 PM

It's the Sun, they don't know anything...:$

Mr. Monday Morning 11-04-2004 12:04 PM

I still want Bobby Robson or Strachan but I know the odds against either of them are pretty damn long :(

Ogen 11-04-2004 01:48 PM

7 months and a 20k fine for Mutu. Seems about what was expected, I'm against the whole idea of total football suspension, sacking is all that should have happened in my view but he's got what the FA was expected to give him.

The Mask 11-04-2004 01:57 PM

that's wank. if Ferdinand had admitted taking cocaine, even if he hadn't, he'd have got a shorter ban?

bunch of toss.
