Andre Brown cut, DJ Ware stays.

Fuckkkkkk. Really hope Brown makes it to the practice squad.

Innovator 09-04-2010 07:28 PM

DAMMIT, AND DAMMIT

I liked Jay Alford

Evil Vito 09-04-2010 07:40 PM

I still think the roster will be tweaked slightly before next week, namely getting another TE. Beckum is always hurt and isn't really a TE anyway.

Droford 09-05-2010 02:49 AM

Troy Smith is gone from the Ravens too.

2 former Heisman winners cut on the same day. Pretty sure the credibility of the Heisman has taken a nosedive over the last couple of years in terms of NFL potential.

Im gonna call it the curse of Barry Sanders.

Requiem 09-05-2010 03:50 AM

wtf at cutting Brandstater and sticking with Painter. Don't get what good the preseason was at all. Like, they got a look at him.. he did better than a player who had been with the team for 1 year. They kept talking about how Painter had the experience of already 'being in the know' of how things worked on the team, but he put up a mediocre performance in pre-season for being so knowing.

I get the whole 'sticking to your guns' thing, and not wanting it to look like they dropped him just because of the situation he was put in last season, but come on. He's only been with the team for 1 season, so there shouldn't be any sort of undying feelings of loyalty to him.

Kris P Lettus 09-05-2010 05:16 PM

Fuck, Sharper is def on the PUP (with LB Clint Imgram) but Jonathon Cassillas, who had been a BEAST this preseason replacing Fajita at OLB is now on IR..

FUCKFUCKFUCKFUCKFUCKFUCK

Reavant 09-05-2010 06:16 PM

what are you gunna do when brees gets hurt?

Kris P Lettus 09-05-2010 06:26 PM

I'm going to murder your face, that's what..

Team Sheep 09-05-2010 08:57 PM

Tony Richardson gone. Fuck :(

SammyG 09-05-2010 08:58 PM

MAKE ROOM FOR THE TERMINATOR

DaveWadding 09-06-2010 01:36 AM

Revis/Jets agree to deal in principle according to Adam Schefter on Twitter.

CSL 09-06-2010 01:44 AM

From Revis' Twitter:

Quote:

it not has only been hard on u guys but it has for me too. I just want to tell yall that I'm sorry for this process and I can't wait to get back on the field.
Hopefully it'll make it into Hard Knocks.

CSL 09-06-2010 12:53 PM

Houshmandzadah signing with the Ravens.

RAMS = SUCK

road doggy dogg 09-06-2010 03:38 PM

With Avery out their offense is going to be probably worse than the Bills. Gross.

Nervous Ferret 09-06-2010 03:59 PM

REVIS

SammyG 09-06-2010 04:22 PM

Donnie Avery hasn't really ever done shit for us anyway, not that big of a hit. Just landed Mark Clayton. Laurent Robinson and Brandon Gibson are gonna turn some heads this year. I feel good about this season.

road doggy dogg 09-06-2010 04:23 PM

How can you feel good about Laurent Robinson, Brandon Gibson, and Mark Clayton? How can anyone feel good about that?
crossrine

Laurent Robinson was incredible before he got hurt, Gibson was a revelation in the middle of the year and was a go to guy, and Clayton can at least make up for the loss of Avery in some way.

Supreme Olajuwon 09-06-2010 05:18 PM

TJ on the Ravens is some straight up bullshit. I know they still have secondary problems but Baltimore is my AFC pick at this point.

Supreme Olajuwon 09-06-2010 05:24 PM

Feel like Joey Flax is gonna have an MVP season this year. This is the best collection of offensive weapons on a team since Edge left Indy.

Innovator 09-06-2010 05:44 PM

I can see a Baltimore/Green Bay Superbowl

CSL 09-06-2010 05:57 PM

Yeah, a lot of the NFL.com writers went for the same thing.

CSL 09-06-2010 07:10 PM

Jets re-signed Tony Richardson already. Guessing his release was to do with the guaranteed money Rex Ryan was talking about and the Revis deal.

Innovator 09-07-2010 01:28 PM

I said those two just cause the Ravens offense i think it gonna catch up to their D, which can be a scary thing. That and the Packers offense is gonna be great this year, and their success will depend on their D.

Innovator 09-07-2010 01:29 PM

With that said, G-MEN.

Kris P Lettus 09-07-2010 01:34 PM

Ravens secondary is pretty suspect except for Ed Reed..

Innovator 09-07-2010 01:37 PM

Pressure from the front 7 can make average corners look like Revis

Kris P Lettus 09-07-2010 01:42 PM

I realize that but everyone always says how great their D is.. Yeah, they are good, but not near the level they were at TEN years ago..

Kris P Lettus 09-07-2010 01:43 PM

Saints secondary is better than theirs now..

Splaya 09-07-2010 03:27 PM

I have Flacco in my main football league, so I am stoked about the TJ signing

Ermaximus 09-07-2010 03:43 PM

Ok Skippord, being as I'm the only Jags fan on TPWW (if not the entire world), and your boys are coming to town Sunday for the opener, I give you the ok to rag them. IF I'm even able to see the game it should be fun to watch Tebow score a couple TD's in the fourth quarter after you guys blow us out early. Then Wayne Weaver and Gene Smith can wonder why they passed on him and the chance to fill the stadium every Sunday while they go on to a 3-13 season.

Skippord 09-07-2010 03:50 PM

I feel too bad for the Jaguars to make fun of them

Jack Del Rio is a retard though

He really is. I wish they'd fire him already so we could ship David "I have 1 good season and then play like shit" Garrard out of here with him.

Skippord 09-07-2010 04:35 PM

I like David Garrard well enough

but he shouldn't be starting in the NFL, let alone taking a lot of touches from MJD

RP 09-07-2010 05:02 PM

I love David Garrard. Especially when he plays the Colts

Supreme Olajuwon 09-07-2010 06:35 PM

Ravens D was 3rd in yards allowed, 3rd in points allowed, and 6th in takeaways last year. Thinking they're still pretty nasty.
