When you are high, you don't have 100% control of your mind. In no way can it be a benefit. Zero chance.

yea i didnt say it enhanced performance i just said exactly what it did to you. It doesnt necessarily comletely hinder ur performance unless u go overbored, but it sure as hell doesnt help you out or be the factor to put you over the top.

not true. everything affects people differently. plus theres tolerance levels. Weed doesnt affect your mind the same way alcohol, coke and acid do.

The only real benefit from it could be that since it relaxes your body so much, it will lower the muscle tone a bit and make you more flexible but thats a HUGE stretch.

Actually it's very true.

Coleman vs. Lesnar is off. GSP vs. Fitch is the new main event for UFC 87.

Quote:

The Ultimate Fighting Championship’s initial trip to Minnesota on August 9th just got bigger with today’s signing of the UFC Welterweight Title bout between Champion Georges St-Pierre and number one contender Jon Fitch, which will headline the UFC 87 card at Target Center.

It will be St-Pierre’s first bout since he regained his crown from Matt Serra at UFC 83 on April 19th. In Fitch, he will be facing a former Division I wrestler who has won eight consecutive UFC bouts without a loss, the longest streak in modern-day UFC history.

In other action on the UFC 87 card, heavyweight sensation Brock Lesnar returns home for a pivotal bout in his rise up the UFC ranks. Lesnar was originally scheduled to face UFC Hall of Famer Mark Coleman on August 9th, but a knee injury has forced ‘The Hammer’ to withdraw from the show. Lesnar’s opponent will be announced shortly.

Sucks for Lesnar a little bit. Coleman was a natural fit for Brock to be able to run through.

Wonder who they'll line up.

Danny Electric 05-23-2008 04:51 AM

So, what the fuck about all these stories that Lesnar's next opponent is Lashley.

Now I really hope that UFC doesnt resign andrei because if they do, hes gonna be lesnars next opponent.

THC connects to specific sites called cannabinoid receptors on nerve cells and thereby influences the activity of those cells. Some brain areas have many cannabinoid receptors; others have few or none. Many cannabinoid receptors are found in the parts of the brain that influence pleasure, memory, thought, concentration, sensory and time perception, and coordinated movement.

Not a chance, they're not going to put Lesnar in there with a guy that will definitly beat him like Arlovski. Their going to find some guy outside of the UFC to fight Brock.

Reavant 05-23-2008 01:41 PM

haha andrei wouldnt definitly beat him

Kris P Lettus 05-23-2008 02:21 PM

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Rob 05-24-2008 03:57 AM

I hope Tito smashes Machida all over the cage tonight.

Reavant 05-24-2008 09:38 AM

Me 2. I like machida but I hope tito screws everything up for dana. Especially cuz machida i guess is supposed to get a title shot if he wins.

Rob 05-24-2008 11:22 AM

I hate Machida. He was in the most boring fight I have ever seen and had it not been for Gonzaga knocking out Cro Cop, it would have ruined my weekend.

Rob 05-24-2008 11:29 AM

The replacement for Mark Coleman is Heath Herring. I think Brock is in trouble now.

McLegend 05-24-2008 11:32 AM

Does Dana want Brock to lose?

Rob 05-24-2008 11:42 AM

Well I like Dana and all but he is fucking losing his mind. Doesn't protect his stars and he has come off like the biggest douchebag in the world to everyone who doesn't hate Tito Ortiz with the way he has treated him.

RP 05-24-2008 01:18 PM

Booking Heath Herring to face Lesner is so stupid. Herring is gunna kill Lesnar. He's way to good and experienced, i mean, he handled Kongo pretty easily and he was in fantastic shape. I'll take Herring

Reavant 05-24-2008 08:52 PM

Now I know Brock got caught by Mir, but if you think that Herring is gonna beat Brock, your nuts! Brock is gonna murder heath. Heath lost to Jake Obrien.... Jake obrien was a shit wrestler. Brock is an NCAA champ and is an all around beast. Brock is gonna walk through him.

Fabien Barthez 05-24-2008 09:23 PM

Are you serious? Did you see Herring against Congo? Congo is a beast, and got pretty comprehensively beat. Id back Herring in this one.

St Pierre/Fitch is probably the fight I was most hoping for this year. Can't wait for that.

Anyone know where I can get a decent stream for tonight? Or am I going to have to wait for Bravo tomorrow? :(

Reavant 05-25-2008 03:03 AM

are YOU serious? how is kongo a beast? Kongo is just a big guy with little physicality and knock out power only in his knees. His strikes do anything. Watch his fights! especially crocop. its like hes trying to just score points. And Heath won a split decision, not a dominating unanimous decision. He won a war no doubt, but it was against someone that doesnt rovide the threat that everyone thinks he does.

Brock will destroy him.

Reavant 05-25-2008 12:23 PM

WANDERLEI IS BACK BABY

What are you on? Herring has proven power in both hands and wasn't submitted by the best BJJ guy in the division who is now the fucking champion. Any negativity that came out of the Kongo fight was all due to that French twat. Herring did everything he could to FORCE a fight.

Next thing you'll be telling me is Tito Ortiz was dominated by Lyoto Machida because he lost a decision and tried forcing a fight.

While we are talking about Ortiz, I have to say that my respect for Dana White is falling at a rapid pace. The guy has come off as the biggest wanker in the fucking business this weekend and all he has suceeded in doing is turn Tito Ortiz into the biggest babyface in the business and an even bigger star for his competition to bid over. The shit at the press conference was embarrassing. Vince McMahon has never even been this embarrassing in public.

What a fucking idiot.

Reavant 05-25-2008 10:21 PM

I didnt say Herring isnt good. He is, but hes going to get killed by brock. Yes he didnt get submitted by Nog, but hes only been submitted once in his entire career which was by nog.

Of course Herring has power in his hands hes like 240-250. Pretty much every heavyweight has some big power in their hands. Thats why Kongo pisses me off so much, he has almost zero knock out power.

I wasnt saying the fight he had with kongo was bad, it was a good fight, but Kongo is only a kickboxer, he should stick to world combat league and score points with his strikes, cuz hes not going to knock anyone out in mma with his hands.

Reavant 05-25-2008 10:24 PM

And for the record I think Machida won the fight without arguuement. it was a little kaleb starnesish for most of it, but he is a very smart fighter and fought almost the perfect fight for himself last night, but he is incredibly boring to watch when hes facing someone who would beat him if he went toe to toe with him.

Vastardikai 05-25-2008 10:49 PM

For the record, it was NOT Kaleb Starnes-ish. Machida actually threw punches and did damage. If you want him to stand there and let himself get knocked out, you're a god damned idiot. There's a difference between fighting smart and running like a bitch. One led to a decisive victory for Lyoto Machida, the other led to the unemployment line.

side notes: Penn-Sherk was kind of anticlimatic to me. When Sherk couldn't take him down on the first attempt, it was over. it took 3 rounds to make it official.

I thought Jardine would have lasted longer and would have actually stood something of a chance against Wanderlei. But... damn!

Crimson 05-25-2008 11:05 PM

Yea Machida is very good..but damn boring. I was rooting for Ortiz like crazy. I doubt UFC wants a boring fighter like Machida as a champ but he will obviously get a shot. Glad Wandy won..and nobody in the lightweight right now can beat Penn.

did u read the whole post or just see one line of it and your head exploded? was machida backing up almost the entire fight? yes. was that an element of what starns did? yes. Was machida still landing shots and doing enough to get a clear victory? yes.

I didnt say I want him to stand in front of someone to get knocked out. I said that he fights in an incredibly boring way when he goes against someone who is physically a more threatening human being. thats the way he does things. It works for him and hes smart for using it to win, BUT it is boring as hell.

im pretty sure everyone else got that from my post but here it is spelled out for ya.

they still might give him a title shot. I wouldnt worry about him winning it though. I just dont see him beating someone who is as effective with ttheir strikes and aggressive as a rampage, liddel, or silva. Tito just didnt have the stand up to do anything to him and has never changed his gameplan for fights.... ever.

Impact! 05-26-2008 11:18 AM

Any recommendations to find some good MMA torrents? (i.e some old Rampage Jackson pride stuff/Wanderlei Silva, etc)?

Stickman 05-26-2008 04:21 PM

Man, is Silva a beast or what?

Rob 05-26-2008 06:14 PM

Yeah he looked great. Him grabbing Jardine's throat so his head wouldn't move when punching was very funny for me too. However, it's still only 1 fight. Remember this kids.

I had Machida winning too but I have never bought a show he was on since I saw him in Manchester, and I never will. Machida = Negative buys. FACT!

Reavant 05-26-2008 06:29 PM

Jardine's career is a roller coaster ride.... knocks out forrest, gets knocked out by houston, beats chuck, gets knocked out by silva.... watch jardine now come back and beat someone huge like rampage or shogun. i dont know how he would get in a match with either of them, but it would be fitting and hilarious.

Rob 05-26-2008 06:38 PM

They'd give him a fight with Shogun for sure.

*Ahem* :D

Also yeah Wanderlei grabbing Jardine's throat was a fuckin hell moment. Also I didn't realise that was his first UFC win since 1999, fuckin oath.
