Its pretty damn impressive when he hits it.

Such a strange sight watching it twelve years on... a "New Generation" main eventer vs an "Attitude Era" main eventer during that purgatory period between the two... Yokozuna on a downward spiral down the card, Steve Austin very slowly beginning his ascent.

Looking at it now, it seems quite surreal, like two seperate worlds colliding. Almost the equivalent of seeing the likes of Andre The Giant vs Triple H.

Notice how Austin had to keep reminding himself not to bounce off the gimmicked ropes, bearing in mind the planned finish.

Still surprising to this day that Austin, who had just become King of the Ring and coined Austin 3:16 and was getting over as a heel (and at this point was already the planned opponent for Bret Hart on his return) should be placed in a worthless pre-show match at a SummerSlam show.

I actually vividly remember that. I remember thinking it was legit, and laughing at how Yokozuna broke the ropes.

Now that I watch it I can see that it totally isn't, and that Yokozuna looks exactly like an even fatter version of Samoa Joe.
