Monday's game was disappointing offensively but I'm confident the kinks will be ironed out after a week or two. The fact we only lost by a point with a non existent offense is comforting in a way. Gotta win Sunday though, pretty scary thought being 0-2 with an away game at Miami next, and Minnesota, Green Bay and Denver away on the horizon. Jesus.

Stadium was awesome. Spent silly amounts trying all the food but it was all good. Gutted the stealth bomber didn't go over as planned. Probably due to the delay because of the storm I'm guessing. Got interviewed by ESPN New York outside the stadium before the game, trying to get a copy of the video now :D

If the owners kill the upcoming season, they benefit by not having to pay any players or their guaranteed money for that year while the players earn nothing for that year. It would hurt the lower pay players the most which makes up the majority of the players union.

By disbanding, the owners now have to deal with 30 mini-unions instead of a single huge union which could lead to 30 new deals costing more money than a single bigger deal.

Actually i think it has more to do with something about being able to sue the owners if the players union is disbanded.

Time for some good ol fashion pig skin.

Supreme Olajuwon 09-19-2010 12:58 PM

Alright guys I've got the Bengals (+40) over the Ravens this week. I was a little concerned about the line as it's pretty tight, but after looking at weather conditions and the fact that Baltimore is banged up in their punt coverage unit, I had to pull the trigger on this one. Just don't see the Ravens winning by more than 35 today.

Triple A 09-19-2010 01:04 PM

Free preview (?) or something of the Red Zone channel right now. On Verizon Fios here.

It's the best channell ever. I get it on Comcast.

Supreme Olajuwon 09-19-2010 01:08 PM

Time Warner doesn't offer Red Zone. Piece of shit.

RP 09-19-2010 01:09 PM

you're practically watching every game at the same time.

Triple A 09-19-2010 01:10 PM

Yeah this is fucking incredible. Was actually going to order it just now but it's free this week I guess.

Supreme Olajuwon 09-19-2010 01:16 PM

I don't even have an option for any NFL package if I wanted it. Time Warner and the NFL have both been buttholes about coming to a deal. Don't even get the NFL Network over here.

It's a fucking joke. I have Time Warner too.

They've also been running commercials about Time Warner not offering the ESPN channels soon. Not really a big deal for me other than football games, but the war between these service providers and networks is fucking stupid.

Requiem 09-19-2010 01:33 PM

Yeah, tried ordering RZ last week but the system wouldn't let me. Kept getting errors and shit. Gonna try again next week after this free thing is done.

Loved it last year.

RP 09-19-2010 01:41 PM

I jack off to NFL Redzone atleast 4 times each sunday.

Volare 09-19-2010 02:08 PM

My Vikings are sucking ass. I got a really bad feeling about this season. We've lost so many weapons and we still got to face the AFC and NFC east this year. Looks like GB is taking the NFC North so far.

Joey Flax is not making my MVP prediction look too hot so far. 5/17, 23 yds, 1 int, 15.1 rating in the 1st half.

Now Flacco's got it working. Nice pass.

OssMan 09-19-2010 02:44 PM

All you fuckers watching your NFL RedZone channel while all of my HD channels are all fucked up and distorted and impossible to even watch.

Supreme Olajuwon 09-19-2010 02:44 PM

Bengals have been awful at getting to the QB in these two games. And when they do they completely whiff and go flying by. And that time it led to a TD.

McLegend 09-19-2010 02:52 PM

Vick looks pretty good here so far. The oline on the other hand not so good.

Meanwhile I'm having fun watching Tony Romo throw behind every receiver who isn't banging out a Kardashian

Supreme Olajuwon 09-19-2010 03:50 PM

So you're saying they should sign Lamar Odom as a tight end?

Droford 09-19-2010 04:07 PM

Flacco looked horrible

Ravens defense still hasn't given up a TD though.

Emperor Smeat 09-19-2010 04:14 PM

Back to Back offsides are killing Titans chance at the comeback.

Final play was horrible so it didn't matter in the end.

Supreme Olajuwon 09-19-2010 04:18 PM

Champ Bailey just took Matt Hasselbeck's milk money, gave him a wedgie, and stuffed him in a locker.

Supreme Olajuwon 09-19-2010 04:28 PM

Love the Broncos' argyle endzone pattern.

Emperor Smeat 09-19-2010 04:30 PM

1st play by Jets on offense ends in a tipped pass and then an INT.

1 Jets player surrounded by at least 3 Patriots players.

Never mind, play got overturned.

Innovator 09-19-2010 04:34 PM

Who wants to check down more, Mark Sanchez or Alex Smith?

Emperor Smeat 09-19-2010 04:42 PM

Jets' Smith managed to tackle Welker by punching him on the side of the head.

Supreme Olajuwon 09-19-2010 04:43 PM

Maybe all that time in a prison cell helped Michael Vick learn to stay in the pocket.

RoXer 09-19-2010 05:40 PM

Beautiful catch by Moss but Rex I guess doesn't think it was Revis' fault as they showed him mouthing the words "God damnit, Jim" and sure enough, Leonhart was not covering.

Crimson 09-19-2010 06:11 PM

Wooo 0-2 for the Cowboys. I'm not even upset for some reason, I just want Phillips fired. Garret isn't even that good either, Jerry Jones needs to hire someone and give him control of personnel moves. Get a new regime

IC Champion 09-19-2010 06:16 PM

If you think Phillips should be fired you should be shot. He's no Bill Belicheck but he's a genius on the defence, and few are better at calling plays for the 3-4. Cowboys can't get any points, that's why they are losing.

Redskins fall apart on defense and give up a 4th down TD to Houston. Could have won the game by preventing it but instead game is tied late in the 4th.

IC Champion 09-19-2010 06:57 PM

Go Houston. and then lose next week.

Yep, i know he's a great defensive co. But the team hasn't improved at all on penalties and mistakes. That's coaching. He's too laidback, just like Norv Turner neither of them are ever winning a superbowl.

IC Champion 09-19-2010 07:17 PM

Why because he isn't Bill parcells and doesn't stroke out everytime there's a mistake? The penalties that killed them last week were because they were missing starters on the offensive line. You wanna blame Phillips for those tipped balls and and Williams fumble?

Cowboys can live with mistakes and penalties, they can't afford to keep kicking FGs in the redzone and running the ball when the other team stacks the box.

Norv Turner is also a very good coach, and is a brilliant offensive cooridinater.

Saying neither are ever winning a superbowl is easy to say, but you don't really give any reason other than Phillips is laidback. C'mon on, use your head. Tony Dungy went to the playoffs like 7 times before winning a superbowl. I just hate when people spew things they have heard from an alalyst or saw on NFL network without giving any explanation. You probably don't even know that Phillips is a good coordinater, you probably just took my word for it.

Emperor Smeat 09-19-2010 07:18 PM

Can't really blame Phillips for being laid-back since before him, Parcells was the coach and the players eventually mutinied against his tough style and wanted a more "laid-back" style coach.

Jerry Jones listened to the players more than realizing a tough coach was needed for a team that was on the decline or lacked discipline for years. Also didn't help Parcells was a confrontational coach more than a "yes man" coach that Jerry wanted to boss around.

Exactly, not to mention he's blaming penalties while completley ignoring the fact that 2 starters on the offensive line were injured.

Team Sheep 09-19-2010 07:22 PM

Wow what a 2nd half. Loved how the replacements stepped up and showed great strength in depth on the roster. Fantastic. Next week at Miami's gonna be incredible.

CSL 09-19-2010 07:28 PM

Graham Gano gets iced on a 50+ yard kick that he made and missed the 2nd attempt. Not a fan of that rule at all. I don't mind icing the kicker after the formation has been set but after the run up has started, nah.

Nervous Ferret 09-19-2010 07:32 PM

Damn @ Redskins game

Droford 09-19-2010 07:48 PM

I didnt think the Skins/Texans wanted to win the game.

2-0 Teams: Chiefs, Steelers, Dolphins, Bears, Packers, Buccaneers and potentially Giants/Saints
0-2 Teams: Bills, Browns, Lions, Panthers, Rams, Cowboys and potentially Colts/49ers.

Chiefs, Bears and Bucs are all surprises at 2-0, Cowboys and Colts would be surprises at 0-2.

As far as the Ravens, they haven't given up a TD yet so the defense is still there but you gotta be worried with Flacco. They'll bounce back next week vs the Browns at home but then they get the Steelers in Pittsburgh...so..ugh

Evil Vito 09-19-2010 07:53 PM

<font color=goldenrod>Rocky Bernard and Linval Joseph inactive, meaning Barry Cofield and Chris Canty are the only two DTs.

Addai has looked good all off season and was decent on his 10 carries last week.

RP 09-19-2010 09:36 PM

I wouldnt be surprised if Addai had 1200 yards rushing this year.

Innovator 09-19-2010 09:45 PM

Holy shit did Jim Caldwell just move?!?!

Pretty obvious the Giants didn't show up today, and against a team like the Colts? Come on. Pretty terrible defensive game plan from the Giants too.

Most Giants fans had a huge boner last week. I think they forgot that the Panthers are shit and were only so happy about it because they got thumped by them last game last season. Giants are as bad, if not worse than last year.

The thing that pisses me off, is that this team isn't really any less talented than the team that won the Superbowl in 2007. There are several key changes to personnel, but it's like the entire organization has just lost the desire to put a good product on the field.

I thought the Giants played like shit last week during the first half. They came out with some nice adjustments after half time, but, the Panthers are pretty awful, so they worked. Against a team like the Colts? Child please.
