#rockfail

Except now it's number 3 world wide. You gotta give it time

Blakeamus 11-14-2011 11:02 PM

It wasn't when I said it. It's actually the #1 thing not sponsored.

Look at the power of the rock on raw wwe.

Do you think Cena feels like a dumbass trying to keep up with the rock when cutting a promo?

Aguakate 11-14-2011 11:04 PM

I don't know how WWE did it, but in these last 20 minutes, "RAW Got Rock'd"

Rock Bottom 11-14-2011 11:06 PM

Rock said something about "all night, bitch" on the ramp

Evil Vito 11-14-2011 11:08 PM

<font color=goldenrod>Looking forward to seeing The Rock back in the ring, but the booking leading up to this match has just been awful. It's like they figured it wasn't even worth making it seem like Miz and Truth have a chance at winning.</font>

Xero 11-14-2011 11:12 PM

Terrible booking for the tag match. They're relying solely on Rock to sell this PPV.

Blakeamus 11-14-2011 11:33 PM

All things serve as a purpose. I bet you that Miz and RTruth go over

Well I am getting the PPV to watch the Rock wrestle...so they got me.

<font color=goldenrod>With the way it's been booked, it will look like a decidedly fluke victory and won't really help them much in the long term anyway.</font>

They may "burn him out" with the fans before WrestleMania, for one.

Yep, but it's working on me anyway. I had very little interest in SS, but after watching Rock tonight on Raw, now I'm very tempted to order it.

Blakeamus 11-14-2011 11:43 PM

Isn't that how heels are portrayed when it comes to a "fluke victory"? Won't really help them much in the long term? They are booked in one of the biggest matches in Survivor Series history. I don't see how you think that it won't help them in the long term.

Possible, but IMO not likely. I honestly don't expect to see him again (live anyway) after this Sunday, until or close to the Rumble sometime early next year.

It's not going to help Miz or R-Truth in the long term. Everybody's focus is going to be on The Rock's return, and what happens between him and Cena.

Even if Miz and R-Truth win the match (which could happen), it won't matter. It'll still take a backseat to Cena and Rock.

I personally don't care about Truth OR Miz, but...

Blakeamus 11-14-2011 11:46 PM

Yeah if he justs pops up here and there, I can see it not losing his steam with the fans come WM

Well either way, after tonight, I am PUMPED to see this match.

Aguakate 11-14-2011 11:49 PM

Historically, fans have always gotten tired of The Rock whenever he's a face. They always turn on him. I still remember Summerslam 2002, when Rock faced Brock Lesnar (the heel), and when Brock Lesnar hit the F-5 and won, the fans were cheering him like crazy.

If WWE keeps him as a fullblown face, there is a chance the crowd gets bored. However, if they have him go after Cena HARD, in a "heel sort of way", it will work.

Lock Jaw 11-14-2011 11:49 PM

Gotta say, was hoping that Cody losing his mask would be a part of a bigger/better storyline. Instead it was like "What? New theme? Ehhh? No mask, too?"

I was in favor of him losing it sooner rather than later but NOT LIKE THIS! NOT LIKE THIS!

Don't like his new theme either.

Cody is sorta talking and acting like Goldust.

"Cena you cheat on your wife!"

Best fan sound bite of life

Shisen Kopf 11-15-2011 12:40 AM

Watching this now bc I taped it and did Mick Foley just say he was here to talk about....SERIOUS BUSINESS?? I think he did. Mick Foley owes shisen a big one.

The MAC 11-15-2011 12:41 AM

raw is shit.

Blakeamus 11-15-2011 12:46 AM

RAW wasn't ROCKED enough for you, Mac?

The MAC 11-15-2011 02:51 AM

rock was good. Although him wrestling before the big showdown between him and Cena may take away from the novelty of seeing him in a match.

That JR/Cole thing is worse than what you see on TNA

Smart crowd that knew The Rock was leaving after that night does not equal people being burnt out on face Rock in general. I'm not the biggest fan of Rock's face work, but come on.

Nash's beard made me want to order Survivor Series.

1:43 SERIOUS BUSINESS. Fuck yeah!

VSG 11-15-2011 09:17 AM

I had a feeling you, Gertner and The Naitch would spot that.

Innovator 11-15-2011 10:24 AM

FROM PWINSIDEHER

After Raw went off the Air, they had the scheduled 6 man tag, Cena Orton Punk vs Henry Miz Truth. Punk missed his hop up to the ropes and got hung up in them, pretty funny.
During the bout, the crowd started the "We want Ryder" chant. After a few minutes Punk ran to the back. About 5 minutes later Punk brought out Ryder who was already in his street clothes.

Ryder ended up pinning the Miz for the win after a Rough Ryder And did a promo about how he started the True Long Island Story 39 weeks ago to "get fired or get noticed". He said that because of the fans he got noticed and thanked the Boston crowd and called us the Broski's of the week.

It was a pretty awesome ending to what at least appeared to be an impromptu inclusion of Ryder who wasn't appearing on the show in a match.

That was serious business. And that is why foley is good.

MoFo 11-15-2011 12:09 PM

Bull Buchanan was teh only good thing.

St. Jimmy 11-15-2011 04:04 PM

Foley was alright, Barrett/Orton was cool, rest of this show sucked.

This is Your Life is VERY serious business.

Wake Up Call 11-15-2011 06:39 PM

The Rock overshadowed Cena, Miz, and R Truth. It was hilarious to me, and it just shows the qualty of stars we seen back when wrestling was worth watching as compared to now..
