Supreme Olajuwon 09-16-2012 10:48 PM

YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSS

a superplex ended a match!

KIRA 09-16-2012 10:48 PM

Shit this is like when I set the game to hard and let the cpu fight it out

also I love punks shocked face last time I saw it was when rey snipped off a piece of punks hair on SD:)

#1-norm-fan 09-16-2012 10:48 PM

LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

el bobbo 09-16-2012 10:48 PM

Road Warrior 09-16-2012 10:48 PM

hahahahahahha

Emperor Smeat 09-16-2012 10:49 PM

Wow way to kill off a really great match with the sudden draw decision.

 crowd finally booing Punk a lot

CSL 09-16-2012 10:49 PM

thought we might get a screwy finish with how that went. And yesss Punk making the entire thing with his facials

Savio 09-16-2012 10:49 PM

Fuck outta here....a german suplex?...............Draw? ok cool

Keith 09-16-2012 10:49 PM

I see what you did there, WWE.

And I like it lol

#1-norm-fan 09-16-2012 10:49 PM

THE REIGN CONTINUES!!!

Skippord 09-16-2012 10:50 PM

John Cena's massive shoulders were his downfall

SammyG 09-16-2012 10:51 PM

Awful finish

Corporate CockSnogger 09-16-2012 10:52 PM

Lol they left Cena to celebrate a bit longer than it normally takes for them to call the draw, or reverse decision. Don't think anyone even suspected both sets of shoulders were down.

owenbrown 09-16-2012 10:52 PM

lol poor Cena

u think wrong

wehns the last time a german suplex won a wwe match after 50 AAs and 50 GTS

Supreme Olajuwon 09-16-2012 10:55 PM

I think that was an appropriate finish. Dusty Rhodes would be proud.

Keith 09-16-2012 11:04 PM

It was an awesome swerve, and it adds to Punk's character, but I can't shake off the feeling that something either went wrong, something was botched or someone missed a cue and they just ran with what they had.

It was still cool, though.

mrslackalack 09-16-2012 11:07 PM

My guess is that the next PPV they have will a must be a winner rematch and Punk wins.

OldSchoolFan 09-16-2012 11:09 PM

The Hell In a Cell match will be AMAZING... and whoever interferes and cost Cena will be the starting member of the new stable

Lock Jaw 09-16-2012 11:13 PM

Cena/Punk really need to main event a Wrestlemania, they are so good together. Probably won't be WM29, but Cena/Punk at WMXXX would be Awesome.

Just keep them away from each other after this feud is done.... and don't drag this current feud out for 17 months. Make it short and sweet like the last one.

#1-norm-fan 09-16-2012 11:15 PM

Alright, I'm gonna say it... Cena and Punk are very close to being this era's Flair and Steamboat. A five star match and a damn near five star match with a Hell in a Cell likely coming.

mrslackalack 09-16-2012 11:17 PM

Punk/Cena feud has the feel of classics matches and rivalries like a Flair/Steamboat & Austin/Rock.

why would you think this, standard Dusty finish

XCaliber 09-16-2012 11:21 PM

Great PPV with a good finish I thought it was a better ending than Punk/Bryan's no DQ match at MITB.

KaosDarksol 09-16-2012 11:32 PM

All I can say about the show in general is Yes! Yes! Yes!

Rock Bottom 09-16-2012 11:52 PM

The bad thing about Rock and Austin is that they beat kicking out of finishers to death. Now everyone beats it to death. It's been done before them, but they really beat the shit out of that concept.

It's starting to get lame watching finishers tossed around. It's like you automatically know the first one isn't getting a pinfall. So to get some good false finishes off, you have to hit two or three finishers a piece. I felt like tonight's match was really good. Maybe they think they can follow the kickout fest with a steel cage. It's all getting old, though. :(

Triple Naitch 09-17-2012 12:01 AM

Wanna see Brock come back and help Punk win HIAC. Then at Survivor Series, it's Punk and Brock vs. Cena and The Rock.

Lock Jaw 09-17-2012 12:05 AM

But Cena and Rock can't tag again! They said "Never Before, Never Again"!

They wouldn't lie, would they?!

SammyG 09-17-2012 12:23 AM

Rock beats Punk at RR, Cena beats Rock at Mania. easy.

#1-norm-fan 09-17-2012 12:43 AM

But... WHAT'S WITH ALL THIS ONCE IN A LIFETIME TALK!?!?!?!

Lock Jaw 09-17-2012 01:03 AM

Yeah! I mean look:

http://img217.imageshack.us/img217/8553/dlnkd.jpg

Even the DVD says it is "Once In a Lifetime!"

Rock and Cena can't ever have another match, or it would mean all the marketing is completely FRAUDULENT.

#1-norm-fan 09-17-2012 01:06 AM

If Rock and Cena have another match, I'm getting my money back for that DVD on the basis of false advertizing. First I'll have to buy it. Which I will. Just so I can return it in anger.

Mercenary 09-17-2012 02:25 AM

CM Punk loses to Cena, Cena faces the Rock at RR in a 'rematch' and CM Punk wins the RR to face the Rock at WM.

Mr. Nerfect 09-17-2012 03:23 AM

How great was JBL's commentary on this show? Also, the main event sounds amazing. CM Punk should win the Hell in a Cell Match, although I am entirely on board with it being CM Punk & Brock Lesnar vs. John Cena & Triple H.

Jack Swagger joining Paul Heyman's forces would be pretty sweet. Swagger could really use a manager like Heyman.

Tazz Dan 09-17-2012 03:24 AM

Can someone hook me up with a torrent for this? I can't find one anywhere.

Some things from the 80's can still be useful today. A dusty finish here and there is one of them.

I seriously didn't see it coming either.

Corporate CockSnogger 09-17-2012 03:54 AM

It was a good PPV and all but in retrospect probably wasn't worth me being extra tired this morning.

Rammsteinmad 09-17-2012 04:57 AM

I'm just chuffed Punk still has the title. I'm a sucker for long title reigns, especially if it's a guy who deserves to have that honor on his resume.

Keith 09-17-2012 05:10 AM

Being World Champion may be Alberto Del Rio's destiny, but apparently beating Sheamus for the Title isn't.

Tazz Dan 09-17-2012 05:11 AM

#1-norm-fan 09-17-2012 05:13 AM

Yeah, as much as they're really pushing the length of this reign I was shocked when I thought Cena had won. I really think they're gonna have Punk hold onto it until there is absolutely a plan for someone else involving the title. Either losing it to Rock at The Rumble or losing it to someone in December so THEY can lose it to Rock at The Rumble at this point are the only things that seem worth ending the reign for.

Tazz Dan 09-17-2012 05:13 AM

Damn, Punk holding onto the belt 'til the Royal Rumble would be epic.

Even if he does lose to The Rock at the 'Rumble, he would lose no thunder and he'd still come out looking good after holding on for so long.

Case #140 on why Cena is a dick:

Dude knew his shoulders were down, so he runs and celebrates immediately then attempts to coerce the ref into giving him the win because "his dad is there".

IT'S THE NIGHT OF CHAMPIONS to the tune of The Final Countdown.

Savio 09-17-2012 07:42 AM

James Steele 09-17-2012 11:00 AM

Just finished the show. It was an awesome PPV, and Cena/Punk make magic together. I love the finish because it allows them to go into Hell in a Cell for the ultimate "final battle" in which I have no clue who will win. Also, going into HIAC they can hype that if Punk wins he will almost be guaranteed a year long reign if they do a tag match instead of a title match at Survivor Series. Survivor Series 2012 is on the 18th while SS was on the 20th last year. Awesome match.

It's all good I'll buy the dvd in a few weeks.

Tommy Gunn 09-17-2012 01:56 PM

A really solid show, but didn't really care much for Punk vs. Cena, probably because I've seen it too many times now.

Match of the night is a tie between Ziggler / Orton and ADR / Sheamus, with Kane and Bryan in 3rd place for pure entertainment value.

Mr. Pierre 09-17-2012 02:08 PM

Great show :y: Really enjoyed it

-Really glad they are making Rey vs. Sin mean something, assuming they are building it for Mania. I'm not a Sin Cara fan yet, but Rey is incredible. Seeing Rey "pass the torch" to Sin at Mania (if both stay healthy), would be a great moment. It's good to see that WWE is treating this as a dream match. Anyway, I'm enjoying this slow build.

-Tag match was fun. Nothing special in-ring, but it told a funny story and was memorable. That's more than you can say for most tag title matches (not a knock on Kofi/Truth, just a knock on the writing).

-Cesaro/Ryder was okay. There's always at least one filler, and it was tough to care about this match since Cesaro just began his reign. Nice to see Ryder on PPV though.

-Orton/Ziggler was awesome. Two thumbs up. It only makes sense that this would rock, since these two never seem to have a bad match with other opponents.

-Divas was ok. It's good to see that there's a little twist in this story, and who knows, maybe it can actually lead to a Divas match with an ounce of heat next time.

-Sheamus/Del Rio. This feud needed to end so badly. Not a knock on either guy for their in-ring work, because they put on a very good match, it's just that their feud and storyline is very tired. Each guy needs to move on. I enjoyed the match though. The live crowd was begging for Ziggler which was cool.

Not sure where Sheamus goes from here, considering they need to build a HIAC in 6 weeks time. Perhaps they play off of Orton/Sheamus from 2 years ago, and they have their rematch in a Cell where Sheamus can get his win back over Orton? It would be a totally different match, considering Sheamus is Champion (and also a babyface). It would be an unorthodox HIAC build, but I think it can work well. Have Ziggler cash in after the HIAC, win the belt, and set up a triple threat for Survivor Series.

-Cena/Punk. Wow, just wow. These two are awesome. Loved every minute of it, and it had a true "main event" feel. This is a must-see, and I was really happy I was able to watch it last night. :y:

Mercenary 09-17-2012 02:19 PM

Kane and Daniel Bryan will be the most entertaining tag team champions / rivals since MVP and Matt Hardy in 2007.

And then WWE will can the angle in a month and I'll feel like a prick.

Brodus Clay should have won the battle royal and had Cesaro get himself counted out old school heel champion style. The match wouldn't have been hyped pre-PPV or anything so no one would have felt robbed. It would have set up a *gasp* feud as well.
