Lots of NFC East games in prime time.

Why does it seem like Denver plays in New England every season?
|
Because this is the third year in a row they've played there during the season.
EDIT: I was curious and looked it up. Post seems dickish without me clarifying. |
Goodell said this week that the league would consider adding a FOURTH day to the NFL Draft. When I initially saw the headline I thought maybe that meant they'd add more rounds since there are a lot of guys who go undrafted who wind up being pretty good finds. But nope, it would still be 7 rounds.
I'm assuming that means that the 2nd round would get its own day as well. And then you'd do Rounds 3-4 and 5-7 in the final two days. Or Round 3 gets its own day with 4-7 on the final day. Either way, that would be ridiculous - even more than it already is. At that point you may as well just stretch it out over a week and do a round a day. |
Yea I mean just do a round a day ,might as well. They're getting carried away with stretching it
|
Isn't it 4 days already, thursday-sunday?
|
I hate the NFL draft.

What, the draft hasn't even taken place yet? What a waste of time, making it out to be some big event
|
Wait. Yeah. Hasn't the draft always been in April? I never checked the date and now before I know it, April's over and there is no draft. What's with this May bullshit?
|
I hate these Cowboys going hard for Manziel rumors. Jerry needs to die.
|
I actually dig the draft, but it was so much better as a Saturday and Sunday event. This Thursday and Friday bullshit sucks.
|
I really want the Giants to get Eli another weapon. Mike Evans would be an absolute dream, but it's hard to imagine him still being there at 12. I'd have a hard time seeing him slip past the Bucs at #7. I can't even remember the last time the Giants traded up in the first round...not sure they'd want to part with the picks necessary to leap ahead of Tampa.
I've long said I'd love to get Eric Ebron as he's a legitimate vertical threat who can help stabilize the TE position after years of it being a revolving door. But he's not known as a blocker, which the Giants value in their TEs. The Coughlin/Reese regime just doesn't seem to see the value in drafting a TE early. So that leaves OL as the likely position, Taylor Lewan and Zack Martin being the most likely to still be on the board. Can't really go wrong there. Geoff Schwartz was a great pickup and Justin Pugh was good, but the other 3 projected starters have huge health red flags. |

Rams and Vikings rumored to be in trade talks with the Vikings get Sam Bradford as the basis of the deal.
Vikings already stated they won't be keeping Christian Ponder after this year while the Rams are rumored to be drafting a QB for their 1st Round pick this year. |
^^ wow that'd be big

Seahawks and Richard Sherman agree to a 4-year, $57 million contract extension which makes him the highest paid CB right now.
Seahawks also resigned Michael Bennett to a 4-year, $28.5 million deal. |
Draft day boys and girls.
What's on your wish list? |
What I want
Calvin Pryor or Defensive line/offensive line What will happen Johnny Manziel |
Sammy watkins pleaaaaaase
|
Fuckin Houston better hurry the piss up
|
Jeff Fisher: "Get the fuck out of here, guy."
|
Poor ermaximus
|
Bills just traded up. Must be going for Mack.
|
Browns got 3 draft picks from that deal with the Bills.
Bills 2014 1st Rd pick (#9), 2015 1st Rd pick, and 2015 4th Rd pick |
Yeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhh Sammy

Cleveland trades up 1 for Gilbert?
|
the Cleveland Browns are stupidheads.
|
Browns proving why they are the Browns.

Nevermind. The site I was using hadn't updated the Vikings trade. |

what did I just see

Thought for a moment the Browns were when they did that 2nd trade but instead pulled the usual Browns odd draft move. |
seems like the Rams draft defensive linemen in the 1st round every year.
|
The Cowboys are going to do it.
|
They didn't do it!
|
The Cardinals. This could happen. LOL
|
How stupid does ESPN feel right now about Johnny Football?
|
C'mon Jets
|
Lol, Manziel is likely feeling like shit right now.

Saints trading up
In Loomis we trust |
I wish Taylor Lewan had lasted one more pick. But Odell Beckham is a good consolation prize.
|
lol does NOBODY want Johnny Manziel?
|
Saints draft Carr to be Rodgers to Brees farve I bet
|
See you tomorrow Johnny.
|
I could see the Chiefs taking him.
|
I wanted a CB or OLB but I guess we gained more defense in FA while losing key offensive players.
I dont question Loomis or Payton so, YAY |
Ha Ha Clinton-Dix is a word-for-word transcription of a post on an AOL message board from 1998.

Eagles trade pick to Browns.
Would be hilarious if they picked the other Carr. |
There you go.
Johnny Football's career is over now. |
Fuck yes. Manziel to Cleveland.
|
Browns do what the Browns do best. So will he be cut or traded within 2 years?
|
 Manziel didn't look that happy with the Browns pick

Everybody stop saying bad things about the Cleveland Browns.

Ha Ha Clinton-Dix, fuck yeah!!
I approve of a new Safety, especially with the unique name |
I dont get the Ravens drafting Mosley but he could be a solid LB for a while so I wont complain.
I was hoping Manziel would go anywhere besides Cleveland just because I think he's a better QB than the 'experts' give him credit for going to Cleveland almost guarantees nothing good will happen for him, at least initially. |
Derek Carr is literally crying in his living room.

I'm not kidding. They showed Derek Carr in his living room and he was crying.
|
CARDINALS. BRIDGEWATER. NOW. PLZ.
|
The Cardinals draft party looks displeased.
|
Safety. That's good. They needed someone to replace Adrian Wilson on the strong side.
|
|
I think they wanted Pryor and when the Jets took him, they traded out knowing Bucannon would definitely be there at 27.
|
Barring a couple of late trades it looks like Houston will still have their pick of Carr or Bridgewater to kick off tomorrow.
|
Liked the Pats not trading out and taking a DE/DT but worried about the whole ACL issue with Dominique Easley.
Belichick really loves Florida when it comes to the draft for some reason. |
I will have to research this Ward fellow.
|
Seems there are still a lot of good DTs on the board. Giants seem to take a second round DT every year so I wouldn't be surprised if they take one of the DTs tomorrow....but I do think they need to get an OL. As it is now they've got Schwartz, Pugh, and 3 guys coming off of major injuries. Hopefully not taking Zack Martin won't come back to bite them.
Odell Beckham is still very intriguing, though. The Giants did need receiver help certainly. The biggest knock I see on Beckham is his height (5'11"). Rueben Randle is their tallest wideout at 6'2". Cruz and Manningham are both 6'0". I do miss the days of just being able to heave it up to Plaxico Burress who towered over all the CBs. Of course Ramses Barden was 6'6" and accomplished absolutely nothing so it might not be a big deal. |
Shit the Pats might be trading Ryan Mallet to the Texans. Hope they don't.
|
Oh god, so relieved Cowboys didn't take Manziel. I like the Martin pick, solid guard or tackle. Now we have 3 good young starters on the O-line.
A lot of defensive line players still left..hopefully we get Kony Ealy, Crighton, Lawrence, or Nix. |
I have no clue who's playing safety next year for the Colts. I don't see anyone stepping in right away from this draft.
|
Quote:
There will be a minor injury first... because the Browns keep going for the big name, "great white hope" potential franchise QB that will put asses in seats and sell jerseys instead of building a line to protect that guy or aquiring some targets for him to throw to. Year one is him not living up to the hype through little fault of his own. Then, there'll be the season ending injury that dashes their possible playoff season hopes in around week 4 of the second year. Next comes the inevitable QB controversy, where the backup limps them along to a .500 season in Johnny Football's absence and they start to think the unknown backup might be the better starter. So, 3 years, not 2. Then rinse and repeat in that year's draft when they pick yet another quarterback. Quote:

I like football
|
Heh. Vikings grab Teddy Bridgewater with the last pick.
I guess Ponder is being shown the door. Or perhaps the bench. Denver grabbing Bradley Roby to work the other side with Talib is a good pickup. Now we need a Wide Reciever to replace Decker. |
|
Texans getting Clowney is no surprise
Browns getting Manziel at 22 is a steal, btw who's justin Gilbert? Bortles got drafted earlier than i thought The Browns might be able to steal Carlos Hyde RB |
"Okay... at least they're not the "Youngstown Browns". That's gotta count for something, right?"
Watch what you say about Youngstown, my friend ELPRESADOR is from there and he don't take to kind to Savage Folk |

and Josh Gordon and Jordan Cameron, man. |
I think the Browns will take their time with Manziel and have Hoyer start. He did win them 3 of the 4 games they won last year.....
|
Quote:
But he won't. Because if he's from here, he already knows what it is. Hell, chances are we're somehow cousins by a marriage or two. |
Internet Warriors crack me up

And I was speaking more on the penchant of the organization trying to always solve their woes by throwing a "hot new" quarterback at it. They've done that since day one back in '99, where they went on record as stating that intention with Tim Couch. They don't cultivate any sort of depth in running game, receivers, or an O line, and throw all their chips in on QBs and coaches, and change them like underwear, instead of sticking with a guy, saying "this is our guy" and sticking to it to find players who get cohesive chemistry. They tend to trade away standouts in skill positions and wear down quarterbacks with danger and doubt. |

Doesn't stop the Yo from being a shithole, though. |
Stevie Johnson to the 49ers, for a 2015 mid round pick
|
lolBills.
|
Johnson was always going to get traded as soon as Watkins' name was called. Probably hurt Johnson's trade value, actually.
