3-1 defeat today. :-\ Wasn't as bad as i thought after last week but Bolton on Tuesday isn't looking too promising given both sides recent form. :'( |

And that one that hit the bar was in the Champions League, and it actually hit the bar and went in, but the Linesman didn't see it go in. Not because he is blind, but because the shot was so powerful it was a hard call to make, I was behind the goal, in the second row of the second tier, and I wasn't sure if it went in, and I had a better view then the lino. |
Cristiano Ronaldo, Roy Keane and Gary Neville were reported to police by Everton fans who claim they screamed obscenities while celebrating the winner in their 4-3 victory. Fans stayed behind to give statements to police.
and this Millwall player called Moses Ashikodi oulled a kitchen knife out on team mate Mark McCammon, the row happened after training, in the canteen, and Ashikodi had to be restrained by staff and players. What a nutter. |
Cristiano learns fast  :shifty:

Not neccessarily Premiership news, but Paul Hart's been sacked, hard to believe last season they were linking him to the Leeds job

Anyway, what did everyone think of Huth today? I think that him, Glenn Johnson and Eidur Gudjohnsen were our best players. Gronkjaer keeps running the ball to touch, Lamps was average, Nicholas played well, Jimmy did nothing but win the penalty and score it. Mutuuuuuu :(. |
I thought Huth did ok,made a lapse in the first half but recovered well and it seems the fans think he can hit a good free kick and i guess the one that he took was better than J-F's.
Gronkjaer's first half was probably the best i personally have seen him play for Chelsea, and Johnson looked better when he had less defensive duties,Mutu has got to do better though. |

Anyone know the name of the music before that Chelsea have before matches? I've also heard it on Soccer A.M i think.
|
Oh yeah Bolton tonight, must say that i'm not very optimistic about it.Then again i did say that we would go down if we lost to Villa, though i guess this game is more vital as imo it determines the response(as i knew we'd lose at Newcastle),a win could see the start of a good run, kinda like the response after the Wolves game, and help get out of the relegation zone.

I hope Leeds get stuffed too.
Oh yeah, Leicester just scored as I typed that. |
LMFAO @ THIS LEICESTER GAME
They are showing how fu</>cking stupid this "new" offside rule is, and Ian Walker just did the worst clanger....ever |
I'm surprised 1000 Leicester fans never ran on the pitch there to slap Ian Walker like he deserved. What a useless wanker.
|
F</>UCK F</>UCK F</>UCK F</>UCKITY F</>UCK
COME ON  |
Ian Walker's a ****ing twat.
I wanted Danny Coyne in after the Villa game to be honest, and this is just crap.I mean if the keeper makes mistakes then its hardly gonna be good for team morale. I'm not gonna go mad at Bolton though, credit to them for exploiting the worst foorballing rule ever made, just sad that it's against us and that we've not got the brains to use it against them. |

Jesus Christ.
Dave Jones, for the love of God, stop playing Kenny Miller on the right where he can't defend and he keeps leaving Irwin exposed. F</>uck. I've never stopped believing we can stay up but shit, we haven't lost this badly since the Chelsea game, I thought we'd cut this crap out. And against LEEDS, of all teams. We need to win all our home games to stand a chance :-\ |
I think you'll make it, have faith
|
It's doable. I mean, our home games are (not in order)
Boro Villa Southampton Fulham Tottenham Bolton Everton Still though...:-\ Sounds like we were completely knackered after Saturday and just capitulated 2nd half. |

wow,another lead lost.Thanks alot Walker(you dick).
I am so pissed off because Bolton did sweet FA to score again, but at the end of the day when our best player on the pitch is a 37 year old forward who is retiring at the end of the season it doesn't say much and a point from that match is no good for us,especially seeing as Pompey beat Bolton 4-0 at home earlier in the season so these are the games we must win.Wolves have looked a much better team at home but yet again we have lost a lead, even if we'd have won half of the games we were leading in and went onto draw/lose then we'd be about mid-table. rant over. |

Of course, Neville says his piece, and comes of as a complete dickhead in my eyes "What do you expect us to do?" he says, well for one thing, your a bloody professional and supposed to be a role-model, you can celebrate a goal without yelling at the opposition's supporters, worse yet, kids. |

where did the dude that tried to attack C Ronaldo come from?
|
Quote:
Me and you have had this conversation already after the same thing happened with Wayne Bridge. Just because you've been getting stick from the fans, you've still got to be professional, grin and bare it "yes, you've been giving me stick all day but ive just scored, we're going to beat you, I make more in a week than you make in 5 years." They shouldn't run over to the opposition fans and taunt them, its unprofessional.</font> |

Ok, I looked into the guy attacking Ronaldo, and I still don't see how that justifies the actions of the United players. If a fan is able to attack a player, it is the fault of the security for not dealing with the situation. 1 idiotic fan does not therefore constituate every fan in the ground.

When Chelsea played Boro a few years ago, Ince went down in the box, but it wasn't a foul, and one of the Chelsea fans (in the family stand) shouted 'It wasn't his fault, he tripped over his ego' and then Ince turned round and stuck his middle finger up at us. Some people cared, some people didn't, but he was wrong to do it because there were kids about. When we played Arsenal a few seasons ago, we did the usual 'lets all do the Seamen', now, this was in his less witty days, where he simply turned around with a big smile on his face and stuck two fingers up at us. everyone clapped him for it, and no one cared, because everyone likes David Seamen. The point I am making, is that it depends on who the players are aswell, alot of people do not like Gary Neville or Roy Keane, so they are going to be annoyed. When we sung 'Posh Spice takes in up the arse' against United, and then Beckham scored a free kick, he ran over and slid in front of use with his hands at his ears as if you say 'lets hear what you have to say now', and ALL the Chelsea fans got annoyed, I too was pissed off, but we had it coming. All three incidents happened in the family stand. The fans acted more angrily to Beckham, then they did to Ince or Seamen, because in general, no one likes United, and this was before everyone was kissing his arse. |
Bolton's Sam Allardyce has explained the way in which he exploited the change in the offside law to claim a share of the points against Leicester City.
Bolton used a system of placing players in obvious offside positions but then running back, taking advantage of Fifa's ruling change. The system caused Leicester all kinds of problems - and the equalising goal came directly from such a set-piece. "We've had a look at the new regulations and we have got to use them to our benefit," said an apologetic Allardyce. "I don't like them and I think they detract from the game, but it is not the referee's fault he has to implement them and I blame Fifa. "They have to change them, but in the mean time we have to use them to our advantage. "It doesn't add anything to the game and it leave players and fans upset and angry. "What we have done today doesn't look good to the fans but it makes it hard for the opposition. I think it shows the rule up to be honest." -------------------------------------------------------------- |
I agree with Sam Allerdyce, I think he is a quality bloke, and he does speak alot of truth. Not just in this, but in general.

If they apologised for their actions, explaining how you get caught up in the heat of the moment, or just something to explain their actions and attempt to defuse the situation, rather than some complete bollocks that Neville comes up with about "we're celebrating, so we have to go and yell at people, swear, make obscene gestures" (ok, he didn't say this, but by not apologising and by what he's said, he's seemingly justifying it as an ok thing to do), if they did apologise, I'm sure everything would be fine, but then United aren't gonna get off their high horse, cos they can do whatever they want. |
Quote:
If that isn't acting provocitively, i dunno what was. He could've just celebrated his first premiership goal for Chelsea with the Chelsea fans, or if he was that desperate to make a point, he could've done something simple like putting his finger to his lips and shhhing. He was over the top and he was provocative. Which was unprofessional. Like ive said to you before, its understandable but its still unprofessional.</font> |

What I meant was we got more annoyed over Beckhams celebration then when players swore at us, because of who it was not because of who he is. I think that the Everton fans are probably the same, because its Keane and Neville, they want to see something happen. |
Quote:
But, for the record, he ran HALF of the WIDTH of the pitch, nowhere near as bad as what you said, but yes, he could have just celebrated in front of us. If Bridge did yell things, then I would agree with you, but otherwise, I think that your fans had it coming. Just like the Chelsea fans had it coming when we took the piss out of Beckham. |
Quote:
In the case here, Keane, Neville, Ronaldo, whoever, were yelling at the family stand, and I think genuinly offended some people, it's hard to say, because we don't know exactly who made the statements, who they were at the match with, etc.... but it still doesn't forgive those players for doing what they did, I doubt these people would make false statements to the police unless they felt something warranted it, even if its not an arrestable offence, whatever they did, if they are swearing at fans and making gestures, then they need to be punished. |
Agreed, I think that the players were wrong, and way out of order, but I still think that the Everton fans made a bigger deal about it because it was United players, they would have been just as pissed if it was Liverpool players. But I think it would be interesting to see their reaction to a team like Portsmouth or Leicester.
|
At the end of the day, I think we can all agree on one thing.
Gary Neville is a twat. |
Oh, about The Liquidator btw; years ago I used to buy Total Football magazine, and one issue they gave away a CD with a few football songs on, whether they be unofficial anthems or fan-written songs ('Julian Dicks: The Terminator' :o ) - I *THINK* I have it buried at home somewhere. I'm going back not this weekend but the one after, so I'll have a look and if I find it I'll rip a copy of Liquidator for y'all, cause it was definitely on there.

I thought it was only those naughty boys from Arsenal ever did things like this. Go tell Alex not to hang around that nasty Arsene any more.. |
The fact that Ronaldo was nearly attacked by a fan right before the supposed incident seems to of gone un-noticed I take it.
Complaints could be made each and every week about 'offensive' celebrations or gestures. If we want to become more like the U.S and complain about petty incidents like this, then these Evertonian no-marks are doing a damn good job. Ronaldo was also pelted with plastic bottles - tell me if you wouldn't react to that? If the United players did something wrong, then they should be punished - but from where I'm sitting, it seems another bandwagon has been built for United-haters to jump on and have their dig. |
Quote:
The whole point here is that the United players have run across and yeld obscenties and used offensive gestures, I would agree that players use provocative celebrations most games, but their is a huge difference between, as in the case previously of David Beckham, and the case we are talking about here. I have said it on a number of occasions, this is extremely unprofessional behaviour, from players who are supposed to be role-models. Footballers have always had to put up with HUGE amounts of stick from any fans, all over the country, and all over the globe. Take this point, Chelsea vs Beskitas, and absolute fu</>cking disgrace that the fans could act like that, did Chelsea start syelling at the Beskitas fans? No. It happens all over the place, and players are pelted with bottles and coins all over the place, and they get on with it, why should United be any different? I don't disagree with players celebrating wildly, as long as they are not shouting abuse at fans, and most importantly, not in-front of kids. The United players have done something wrong, if they've hurled abuse at the crowd, then they are breaking F.A rules, they have been unprofessional, have, as I've said a million times, they've broken the biggest thing that clubs set out to do, and that is be role-models for children and people in general. Maybe it is another bandwagon, but I don't think you can deny, that United keep bringing these things upon themselves with the actions of the players, the manager, and the boardroom. |
