No, his loss does hurt, but they've had losses before and they'll have them again.

That and the MLB's haven't played that bad, the offense turnovers cost this game, well, turnovers and stupid penalties.

The Pats looked bad today, no question about it, Carolina out played them.

rofl, Corey Dillon smothered again.

BCWWF 09-18-2005 04:22 PM

Carolina is our sole hope in the NFC. Philly has no shot at the Super Bowl, Atlanta probably not either.

WHY THE FUCK AM I WATCHING CLEVELAND-GREEN BAY

ARGH

Mr. Monday Morning 09-18-2005 04:40 PM

-Culpepper threw 5 picks as well

-Leftwich got hammered big time late on there

-Pittsburgh looked pretty awesome again (looking at the stats ticker anyway), throwing as well as running.

-Buffalo :nono:

OssMan 09-18-2005 04:49 PM

lol what does Culpepper have, like 8 INTs this season

Mr. Monday Morning 09-18-2005 04:56 PM

Yeah 8 in 2.

I mean, I know Denver isn't doing that great right now but goddamn.

Even the guys on FOX made Philly/SanFran seem like it was close

I honestly wouldn't be surprised if they brought in Leaf at this point

Apparently Denver is considering Baltimore OC Fassel for next year though. After the last couple years of Shanahan's shit, I'll take ANYONE else

Steelers-Pats next week...good game. Damn Ravens are 0-2 im surprised about that...and Palmer looks like gold.

Mr. Monday Morning 09-18-2005 06:25 PM

Jamal Lewis had like 9 yards rushing or something stupid. Their O-line really isn't doing a great job.

KingofOldSchool 09-18-2005 06:29 PM

WOW The Packers are sucking shit.

If Brett is sticking around to win, he's probably mightly disappointed right now.

Dunno, the more I digest todays loss, I don't like it but I'm not worried. I don't see them having that many penalties every game and that was a huge factor today, "mistakes" which the Pats don't do often.

FearedSanctity 09-18-2005 06:51 PM

LOL at Denver CONSTANTLY fucking themselves over

TD pass called back AND a punt return TD called back for too many men on the field, Denver players came on the field too early celebrating :|

BEARS

BCWWF 09-18-2005 07:50 PM

I will say the Bears aren't horrible. They have some good skills players in Benson, Mushin, Gage etc. and it'd be cool if Orton came through. Then when you have Urlacher on your defense it will never be too bad. My point was just that last week the Lions blew away the Packers, and both teams were supposed to be at lease decent this year, and now this week the Bears, who were pretty much a consensus No. 4 in the NFC North blow out the Lions.

SammyG 09-18-2005 08:04 PM

Well done, RP, it just means we win the second game later on this season.

Loose Cannon 09-18-2005 10:52 PM

el fregadero 09-18-2005 10:58 PM

Not if Pennington is still their quarterback.

Nervous Ferret 09-18-2005 10:59 PM

yeah he is the worst QB in the NFL :'(

el fregadero 09-18-2005 11:00 PM

He is? I was j/k. Good to see you support your team though.

Nervous Ferret 09-18-2005 11:07 PM

he is. I love him to death, he makes everyone around him play better, but in terms of skill at the QB position, he is one of the worst. I exxagerated by saying the worst, but hes down there. He floats everything on mid ranged passes, he tries to put to much "touch" into the ball, when if he would just buck up and throw it he'd have more success. On shorter passes he throws at usually the running backs feet, and his arm strength isn't nearly enough to throw anything accurate over 3o yards. He panics under pressure, and if the Jets didn't have a top 5 O-line...I don't know where he'd be.

BCWWF 09-18-2005 11:27 PM

I am going to agree with last weeks ESPN power rankings, Indianapolis is the team to beat right now. They started them out against two awesome defenses, and they worked through them. Thats a sign of a great offense, but what really did it for me was that the defense held up and didn't allow anything really. Granted they aren't the two best offenses in the league by any means, but last year it may have been a very different story.

el fregadero 09-19-2005 02:06 AM

Yeah, the Colts getting a good D is not good news.

The Outlaw 09-19-2005 03:17 AM

COLTS

PACK :'(

The NFC North is ridiculous right now.

RP 09-19-2005 03:22 AM

My Thoughts:

Just one right now and what i am about to say, I truely mean this . I dont even know if i can describe this thought good enough to even post it, but i'm going to.

Byron Leftwhich almost made me cry today. This guy wears his sack outside of his pants. He is all balls. I have never seen a QB in my life time take such a beating and just not go away . That hit he took from behind was completely his fault. He should have just fell on the ball, but he was trying to make something happen and he got corkscrewed. To even get back into the game after that hit was amazing. I was for sure his leg was broke. When we had to punt the ball back, I thought it was over. I thought Gerrard was coming out and we would murder him. When Leftwhich ran out on the field. I fucking lost it. I could not believe this kid was still standing. I had know idea i could possibly feel as much emotion as i did for an opposing teams player, as i did for Byron Leftwhich at that point.... Then Dwight Freeney flat out crushed him and he still completed the pass. Then proceeded to get up and hobble down the field. It seriously looked like he had no clue where he was and that lineman who picked him up just pretty much told him to run straight. At this point my hand is over my mouth and i'm seriously touched by what i was seeing. Not touched in a sad way. Touched , because of how hard this guy was playing . How much heart he had. He would not stay down. He was getting crushed. Ungodly hits and he still kept getting up. I was honored to watch this opponent play my team. If i had to pick anyone other then Peyton Manning to QB my team. Give me Leftwhich all day any day. If he's gunna play that hard for me on the second week of the season. He's my guy.

Leftwhich earned so much respect from me today. To put this in perspective. People here in Indiana, on radio shows and tv and just the word on the street alone, cant stop talking about Byron Leftwhich's performance. I mean i was that impressed.

Nervous Ferret 09-19-2005 03:26 AM

We've known he was tough, was it Leftwhich that had hid O-line carry him down the field in college, when he had a broken ankle? I think it was.

Leftwich is a tough mamajamma. The doggone O-Line is gonna get him killed.

My god Leftwhich is the man.

That game was just amazing.

el fregadero 09-19-2005 03:39 AM

Garrard is pretty tight though. More important issue is Donavin Darius and what will happen with his leg.

RP 09-19-2005 03:40 AM

Denver might just be the most retarded team ever. I love how Mike Shananigans called it a " gutsy victory". At this point i think a gutsy victory would be Denver actually not being retarded in a game.

More like SD proving they were a "paper champ" last year.

Best stat I heard this year was SD was 10-0 vs. bad teams and 2-4 vs good teams.

Gee, and I thought the 1st round loss was just because Shotty always screws up in the playoffs.

Supreme Olajuwon 09-19-2005 12:45 PM

The Vikings loss yesterday was sooooooooo Culpepper's fault it wasn't even funny. He got protection, but he never looked around the field. He missed so many wide open guys who had clear paths to touchdowns. Their defense didn't do much to help but still, only 1 of Culpepper's INTs were because of the Bengals D.

The Outlaw 09-19-2005 01:28 PM

Before the game, Pep was 3rd all time in QB rating (over 1,500 attempts).

Now he's 5th,

Even as horrible as they have been in the first two weeks, the Vikings have too much talent to not win the NFC North. Maybe it will be 8-8, but thats just how bad the other teams are.

#1-norm-fan 09-20-2005 01:27 AM

Fucking Roy Williams. I always though he was overrated. Everyone likes him but the fucker never makes any plays really. I never understood why people like him. I know the 2nd TD wasn't COMPLETELY his fault but he was mainly involved in both TDs and I hate him.

That hatred may go away as soon as next week. A hatred that will always eat away at my stomache is my insane, vomit-inducing hatred of Terry Glenn. RUN YOUR GODDAMN ROUTE PAST THE MARKERS ON 4TH DOWN YOU STUPID SHIT! Could you not find the little yellow line so you just stopped at a random spot on the field? Damn you to hell!!!

Basically I blame Roy Williams and Aaron Glenn for the loss (shouldn't have come down to the 4th down play). I just have more reason to hate Terry Glenn now though. Fuck his 6 catches for 120 yards... If Dallas hadn't been watching videos from the 1960's and decided it was time to pull out a fucking Flea-Flicker, you would NOT have burned Sean Taylor so suck it, woman.

Two fucking plays. Washington has two plays all night and wins the game. Ridiculous. Next week can't come soon enough. I don't want to see a simple win over San Francisco, This needs to be an ass-beating of epic proportions. I am pissed. Joe Gibbs smells. That is all.

#1-norm-fan 09-20-2005 01:33 AM

Also, fuck Monday Night Football. Something crazy like this happens damn near every week. It's usually Dallas, so goot times. (Some years back against Philly when the Eagles were going for the game winning field goal from the 2-yard line and they botched the snap and didn't get it. Against the Giants two years ago when they fell behind w/ 7 seconds left and came back to win. Against Seattle last year when they were down by 10 w/ under 2 minutes to go and came back to win.) It used to be cool... fuck Monday Night Football now.

GOD DAMMIT!!!! The last TD to Moss, he didn't even run a mother-fucking route!!!! They just told him to run right between the two dipshit DBs and then at some point, look up for a football.

CNM 09-20-2005 02:56 AM

Bottom line though I still think Cowboys will finish above the 'Skins...we'll get em in DC.

Yeah see the slight difference here is that was more a burn on Roy Williams, not cheering for an injury.

Also broken leg < career-ending injury, but that's beside the point.

Remember when RP logged in 100 times a day and got pissy that not everyone reads the forum as much as him.

Remember when RP was given 2 articles of facts why Brady was/is better then Manning, yet never responded.

Remember when RP cried about how Manning has to do it all and the Colts never have a defense, but this year is different even though every year they try and upgrade their defense and every year them lose because the offense get's shut down, not that the defense can't stop anyone.

Remember when VEL decided to just add RP to the ignore list till after the season... (Nah, RP's a funny little bitch, gives me a good laugh) :)

Yeah, leave "HER" alone...

Classic Parcell quotes...

When asked about Glenn during pre-season, refering to him as "She".

Remember when Parcells didn't want to draft Glenn in the first place and was over ruled by Bobby Grier and Bob Kraft.

Remember when Glenn got suspended by the Pats and they still won the superbowl.

Remember my favorite Glenn quote on a local TV show while under suspension and asked about being a member of the Patriots.

"I did play play for the Patriots, D I D I D"

I think he was trying to use "Did" in the past tence... gotta love that Big 10 education!
