GUNNA KILL SOMEONE. Worst move ever. Even worse than trading away two 1st round picks for Dewayne Robertson.
They better take Lendale White or Deangelo now or else I will flip |
HE WAS JOKINGGGGG.
|
Yeah I know, :shifty:
|
Titans + Leinart = Instant Win.
|
Leinart to the Titans seems like a very distinct possibility, Norm Chow, they just signed David Givens. They have Drew Bennett, plus Chris Brown is a decent running back as well.
|
McGinest signed with the Browns
Packers signed Pickett from the Rams Chris Hope signed with the Titans |
Josh McCown signs with the Lions, Harrington is most definetly gone
|
I'm glad I spent 50 dollars on a McGinest Jersey before last season now :(
|
Yeah what a pain in the ass that is. I always think about that whenever I buy a jersey. I've only bought player's jerseys when I know they aren't going anywhere. I have Eli (Blue), Plaxico (White), Tiki (Old White), Shockey (Blue), Strahan (Blue). Those guys aren't going anywhere, and if they do it will be at the very end of their careers, in which they would just get remembered for being Giants anyway.
|
Yea the only "save bet" is probably Brady but that is what all the girls rock. Don't wanna look like i'm gay or something.
I might get a white Vrabel now, we'll see. |
Watson looks safe to me
|
Keyshawn Johnson has expressed interest in the Giants :|
Fuck, I hope the feeling's not mutual...I don't want that cancer on the team |
Watson probably isn't safe though, if he has a monster year he might hold out or something because of his current contract.
|
Best off season ever.

I think that these teams that are spending all of this money on free agency are going to ultimately regret it.
Usually there's a reason why that player was not signed back by his team in the first place. So now Washington has this stud safety in Adam Archuleta, as an example, but no one told the team about his bad knee (hypothetically). Now you have a gimp playing safety who you paid tons of money on and there's not really much you can do about it. That's not the case with all players, obviously, but there is a lot of behind the scenes stuff that goes on with all of this. |
Thats true but you also have to look at how many new coaches there are this year that are trying to get guys that fit their system. They are trying to get their building blocks in place and maybe a veteran doesn't fit that mold. And its not just 1st year coaches that have to do this, lots of second year guys are in the same boat.
|
This years offseason seems like a fantasy draft in Madden, thats the best way I can describe it.
|
The Chiefs brought in cornerback Will Allen from the Giants for an interview. Is he any good?

Archuleta has the craziest workout I've ever seen. When he does bench presses he throws it off of his catches then catches it as it comes back down. He is a sick fuck, I heard he was playing shitty lately in St. Louis though. That's why I was surprised to see him get signed by the Redskins. I guess they just like to throw money around.

Rumor has it That TO has signed a three year deal with Dallas.
|
Quote:
There was an article I read somewhere about Keyshaun and Belichick and how they really got along when they were at the Jets, and the possibility the Pats might sign him to replace Givens. Keyshaun vs Brady in a shouting match would do numbers :shifty: If TO has agreed to go to Dallas they're probably gonna wait til Monday so Jerry Jones can come back from his vacation and do the announcement. |
Fuck I hope they don't sign Johnson. He is so overrated
|
Falcons are all set to sign Lawyer Milloy
|

|
Patrick Ramsey to the Jets for a 6th round pick
Michael Bennett to the Saints Reche Caldwell to the Pats |
If the Falcons get Abraham, I will scream in glee. Our defense will be sick. Sick.
If everyone stays healthy. :( |
This is going back two pages I think, but whoever said the Lions should have gotten Culpepper is retarded.
|
Caldwell with the Pats haha...Caldwells Vodka (5 dollars for a liter) is made in Mass
|
More and more sources claiming T.O. to be a Cowboy
Dammit, I was hoping to get that fucktard out of the division. Good thing the Giants have improved their secondary avec Madison, Demps, and McQuarters :y: I'd bet my paycheck that TO's first TD celebration in Dallas is kissing the star in the center of the field |
Fuck TO, I didn't want that cancer on the Cowboys. I swear if he goes Philly/SF status down there i will hunt him down and rip his fat lips off. I don't like it...he's gonna be a distraction sooner or later.
|

But put him in on third down and you'll get your first. |

Tuna will not be like Andy Reid. Tuna knows exactly how to handle nutjobs. His pride won't prevent him from cutting or trading a player. He will send Owens packing right away. |

But I don't think BCDub was ripping on Pep. Just that the Lions are a black hole, and Pep would most likely suck there. His bad season last year was due to a lot of things. It was not a situation conducive to success. But I am not happy at all about Pep leaving. I wish I knew the truth, because I want to side with Pep, I honestly do. The new regime is starting off as horribly as the last. We will lose Burleson, my favorite player, who won't have anyone quality throwing him the ball anymore... and QBs like Pep come along only once every 15 years maybe for a team, if they're lucky. Now the 'fins FINALLY get their answer to Marino. Moss was one of the greatest personalities in pro sports. He was always good for a quote or an antic, and they were becoming increasingly lovable. A Pep for Moss trade would have been nice; the only problem is that BJ can't throw the ball over 10 yards. We're screwed. :( |
aaaaaaaaand it is a official, TO is a Cowboy.
I have mixed feelings, he is getting payed more here, which could keep him happy. As long as he is producing the Cowboys offense could be sick. He should not only open up Terry Glenn to more one on one coverage, but he should open up huge holes for Barber and Jones to run through. Time will tell I suppose, but overall I'm pretty pumped. |

I will trade you Drew Henson for him.
|
Okay!
He's gonna come back from NFL Europe better than ever before, and prove why he started in front of Tom Brady! Huzzah! |
I know, but Bill Parcells hates him, and I actually would like to see him succeed. Thus, I give him to you.
|
Kinda gay that TO stayed in the division but he isn't even that hard to stop. The Giants have had games when they shut him down and games where he torched them, it all depends on the coaching scheme. When he was with San Fran we shut him down all game on opening day, until we changed the scheme in the last few minutes where he got one huge play.
Since we signed a bunch of new guys in the secondary I'm not really worried about them as a threat, Sam Madison, Will Demps, R.W. McQuarters. Gibril is pretty buc, and hopefully Willy Peterson comes back 100% from his injury. |
Giants have done some good things, they should be favored to win the division. Cowboys should be there, Redskins looks improved, and the Eagles are still the Eagles..looks like a tough division!
|
The NFC East is really tough. Three of the teams went 10-6 last year.
|
Quote:
Giants 11-5 Redskins 10-6 Cowboys 9-7 Eagles like 3-13 ahahah maybe you mean the year before? three teams went 6-10 |
The Cowfags will still suck.

And Terrell Owens is not an easy receiver to shut down, no matter who your team is. If that was the case he wouldn't have 1,500 yards and fifteen touchdowns a year. |

I would say holding someone to a few catches is shutting them down, TO is a great player I'm not denying him anything in that respect. I'm just saying he doesn't scare me that much. |
Glad the Broncos have been so active this offseason :|

It's not Shanahan's fault Ricky Williams went and did it again (allegedly)

I dunno, a 6'3" 230 pound beast who has great hands, can run, isn't afraid to go across the middle, and isn't afraid to get hit scares me.
Just look at some of the credentials. Only receiver besides Jerry Rice to have 5 or more seasons with 13 or more receiving TD's in a regular season. Has had 103 total touchdowns. Averaged one touchdown per game in 2001 and 2004. Has had six 1,000 yard seasons, including five consecutive (2000-2004). Holds NFL record 20 receptions in a single game. Reached 100 catches in only 14 games in 2002. Is tied for second all time in receiving touchdowns on Monday Night Football with seven. Led the league in receiving touchdowns for two consecutive seasons. I would be scared of him. |
Dolphins sign Will Allen to a 4 year deal.
YES! |
Looks like Steve Hutchinson ain't gonna be a Viking. :wavesad:
|
Read in the paper Vinateri is in Green Bay today :(
|
ESPN says he is leaning towards going to a warmer place if he were to leave New England.
|
Vikings should have signed Vinatieri. Or Edinger. Or anyone for fucks sake. Why would you sign a kicker who reached all-time lows last year? Idiocy. :(
|
I've always wondered this, why are the Cowboys in the NFC East?
|
Same reason the Bucs were in the NFC Central.
Dunno, who else would be in the east? Maybe the Bucs, or an AFC team would switch. But then the Cowboys are a "storied franchise," and the rivalries they have the NFL probably doesn't want to break up. TBH, the Bucs/Vikings rivalry was really starting to heat up as well -- from Dungy telling Green to pass on Sapp because he was too fat then drafting him himself,, to the even record between the two -- so fucking even that the Vikings went 15-1 because of the Bucs. Dunno, whatever. I guess the MN/Tampa markets aren't big enough to do that. :( |

lol wait, just saw the news. Pretty good time to be Chester Taylor right now.
Also saw this: One of the busiest teams of the offseason struck again when the Seattle Seahawks reached agreement with former San Francisco linebacker Julian Peterson on a blockbuster seven-year, $54 million deal. For that sort of money they'd best be coating his achilles in adamantium. |
Yeah it is probably the old traditions and rivalrys, but it would make more sense to put the Panthers in the NFC East and put Dallas in the NFC South
|
It would also make more sense to have Miami in the South, Indianapolis in the North, and Baltimore in the East, but they weren't gonna send Baltimore to a different division than Cleveland and Pittsburgh.
|
Reports are that Grady Jackson is close to signing on with the Giants. I'd love that signing....definately over Sam Adams.
I'd much rather get him than draft a guy.....drafting DTs have proven to be pretty unpredictable. A DT rotation of Jackson, Fred Robbins, William Joseph, Kenderick Allen, and even Damane Duckett works for me :y: |
Denver :nono:

Jackson's food bill will probably cost more than Arrington's entire contract

Guess it doesn't really matter the locations because they only play games once a week, so it's not like travel needs be a factor when dividing up the teams. |
Quote:

That's pretty sweet. With any luck, the Broncos can either draft two HB's with those picks, or draft a HB and trade the other pick for a Browns D-Lineman.

Brian Griese signed with the Bears.
|
Sad day for pro football :( Now he will just be a regular old kicker, will never get a shot to kick another game winning field goal in the Superbowl.
|
Obviously he realised that the Patriots team prioritys didnt include Superbowl anymore after seeing all there good players leaving and being shoved around by the Broncos in the playoffs.
|
He just lost a ton of future endorsement deals too.
|
Apparently the Bills are going to let Moulds seek a trade. I will be shocked if Carolina don't at least show some interest, though he might be a little expensive for them if he doesn't agree to restructure.
|
Quote:
Its all good though, going to team with D.Rhodes as the starting running back makes more sense. Guess it doesn't really matter who you have at running back with the Colts though, Manning knows how to win that big game. Oh wait....................... |
Hey Stima, the Colts are better than the Patriots right now.
|
But I thought it was Patriots>your favorite team?
|
Quote:
Colts still won't win the Superbowl though, I don't think they ever will with Manning as the QB. And there's no way this years Colts team is better than last years. Just like that commerical tho...If everything went down the way it was suppose to why would anyone play? |
Just heard on the radio that Peterson got 18.5 million guaranteed from the Seahawks..Is he really that good?
|
They overpaid but he is still an elite LB. I don't have a problem with the signing
|
Quote:

I havne't really havent seen him play that much. From everything I've heard though he is pretty legit. Isn't he often injuried though?
