GTA V: San Andreas pretty much then. Good times. If there is no VC in this, I pray that they just get something bashed out as add. content or something to go there. I'm a sucker for VC, so if it's gonna be a PS4 release then cool.

Hoping for some upgrade to vehicle physics mostly. What was that bit about it being similar to the feel of RDR?

Was RDR it's own engine, or did they borrow heavily from the GTA engine?

RDR used Rage/Euphoria just like GTA and I'm sure there have been plenty of tweaks to it at this point.

Mostly hoping for a PC version on release. But with the history of the series I'm not going to be shocked if there isn't.

The same homeless guy in GTA IV. Jerry Kapowitz is the guy that found the diamonds at the end of TBoGT and he left for Vice City with his new wealth. Clearly things didn't go well and he ended up homeless again on the other side of the country, in San Andreas.

This morning, the Grand Theft Auto V trailer exploded on the Internet with a voice that sounds and a character that looks a lot like Grand Theft Auto: Vice City protagonist Tommy Vercetti. IGN argued during our livestream as to whether or not the voice was indeed Goodfellas star and Vice City voice Ray Liotta, and now we have an answer.

Ray Liotta's voice is not in the trailer. IGN reached out to Liotta's representatives, and they confirmed that the actor's golden pipes aren't in the trailer.

If there's one thing that trailer shows it's that there's a lot of blimps. There is a blimp is like every other scene.

In fact for me, the ONLY game I have pre-ordered prior was GTA4.

Also, there's a road sign for Little Seoul. Korea Town here I come.

And with the shot of beach gym I wouldn't be surprised if work outs made a return.

I haven't felt this excited for any game in a loooooooooooonnnnnngggggggg time.

Hard to tell in this picture but the truck closest to the camera had about 4 people sitting in the back of it. Don't know if this will be useful in single player but could be useful in multiplayer.

The blue car at the 49 second mark appears to be modified as well. A similar car can be seen turning left at the 53 second mark with a different front end. Merely speculation.

Also, if you watch the scene with the mountain, you can see the clouds morph. Pretty good stuff. Same with the dust cloud the truck is kicking up in the wind turbine scene.

I also noticed that the license plates are actual plates and dont just say the name of the city, wonder if that will be keep in the game.

Custom plates would be a cool car mod.

360's a beast and so's PS3. Visuals like that are impressive as they are expected. You got guys like Cliffy B talking about having Avatar-like visuals for next gen. Better visuals are a given, that's not something consoles 'need' to strive for anymore.

I said a long time ago the "blue ocean" is crossing entertainment applications and connectivity. EA is already heading there (in stumbling steps). Microsoft will get over this Kinect crap and refocus on 360 as an entertainment machine eventually.

If that second guy is supposed to be Tommy, he looks a bit too young considering Tommy would be around 60 if this takes place in 2011-2012. He looks almost the same as the picture from VC and that was during the 1980s.

But then I thought, it will be cool since its a modern setting. Early 90s LA vs today is much different.

My Guess is there will be Mexican Cartels, Russian/Chinese mobs etc. Lots of Vapid hollywood types. Reality TV.

I would prefer a modern day Vice City though.

I'm guessing the coughing during the crop dusting isn't just a cinematic since they also have gas masks on in the trailer. So look for weapons like tear gas. With the volumetric clouds (dirt, crop dusting, etc) it could be useful just to have smoke grenades too.

The length of time between the trailer and release for both LA Noire and Max Payne 3 was/is six months. Same as the trailer and original release for GTA IV, as you pointed out. Six months from now is May.

This has me as excited as SA did.

I'm pretty sure that this will be a brand new character in a modern day San Andreas. They've never brought back the main character from a past GTA as the main character for another GTA. Yes, Claude was in San Andreas, but I'm talking about who you actually are. That's not to say this won't feature any characters from past GTAs, but the guy talking in the trailer, who I assume you are in the game, isn't an older Tommy Vercetti, even if IGN is speculating.

I've heard it a few times it has to do more of when shipments arrive at stores as a way for stores to save money with shipments. Non-Tuesday games might have custom shipment dates like how Nintendo releases a few big titles on Sundays.

Watching an IGN breakdown of the trailer, they point out that a sign for I-5 is shown (the Las Puerta Fwy sign). Not being from California I didn't quite get the relevance, but apparently I-5 is a major highway that connects almost all of the major cities. Could just be "another road" but given the importance of it in real life and it getting an intentional close up in the trailer it could be a hint

Gamestop had a report that Rockstar was putting the finishing touches on the mini-games, so it seems like a large portion of the game is already done.

GTA 4 was a special case with the delay. The other GTAs came out six months after the trailer. It’s speculated they wanted to add in multiplayer after feeling some pressure, but I’ve never seen that confirmed.

Some people have noted the dates seen at the end of the Ballad of Gay Tony and in the trailer - they all say May 24th. The song in the trailer was released on a May 24th. These could be hints from Rockstar. I’m not one to jump the gun, but the coincidences are too strong to ignore. I really think we’ll see this game next May.

May 24th is Sam Houser's (president of Rockstar) birthday.

Tommy Vercetti doesn't make sense to me. Perhaps there could be a mission where you go and visit someone on Grove Street, and CJ pays them a visit, but I just don't see Rockstar going back to Tommy. It just seems like a better choice to start fresh to build a better backstory.
