Yeah Annie. Apparently according to the producers (J.J. Abrahms or whatever) they said that she will have a big part soon...though they also said that Frogurt would have a big part as well...
Either way, rewatching the series has been incredible, so many things I'd forgotten... |
I have no way to link this, but a gut feeling.
Charlotte is Annie. Calling it now. |
That won't happen. She could be Charlotte's mother though.
SPOILER: show |
Not sure what you think he did, but this is a fucking boring ass episode.
SPOILER: show |
Also, I dont know how you can think this is boring,
[spoiler] I cant wait to find out what happened to aaron, why Sayid was arrested, and what got Hurley on the plane. I think Penny is dead, and Desmond id going to be pissed. LAPIDUS FTW DHARMA JIN? [\spoiler]

WTF, why wont my spoiler tags work?

Brilliant episode I thought. Clean shaven Lapidus :y:
The writers always said that there would be something involving Christians shoes since the prolonged clip of his white shoes hanging in the tree in the pilot. Also I figured that the Ajira airlines stuff sawyer and co found a few episodes ago would belong to the plane that brought Jack and co back. Can't wait for the next episode :D |

Also, was thinking maybe Kate had to give aaron back to Claire's mother to make the flight more like Oceanic 815. You also have Hurley taking a guitar, Sayid taking kates place as a convinct and I'm gonna go out on a limb and say that Kate's taking Claires place as the pregnant girl. Seemed to be a reason behind them showing Kate staying in Jacks the night before. |
That's pretty much what I figured...cannot figure out who the new guy is/was supposed to be replacing though...perhaps Locke?
Either way, don't know how people thought that episode sucked, I thought it was incredible. |
Episode was AMAZING. Fucking loved it. PapaGeorgio is WAY too fucking picky if he thought that shit was boring. It answered a lot, and then opened up new questions. LOVED EVERYTHING ABOUT IT.
They seem to be bringing in a lot of CS Lewis references now.
End of episode picked up, but I was in middle of it when I stated it was boring, stand by it.
The Locke-Widmore confrontation next week should be epic. I predict at least one erection on my part. Who will join me
The preview for next week was amazing. Ben kneeling in front of Locke as he was about to hang himself. Gave me chills.
Good ep. Love it when they do stuff like this, throw a bunch of answers at you and create new questions. Ben as always knows more than he's letting on but he isn't in control, or at least as in control. Jack's grandad I'm thinking could possibly have some link to the island, with his 'Once I'm gone they'll never find me' comment, Jack in general and with Christian already 'resurrected' by the island. Loved Lupidus' 'We're not going to Guam are we?' and Desmond walking all over the pendulum. Not sure about Ben killing Penny though. I hope that's what the writers want people to think since a lot of people came to that conclusion. Roll on next week, been the episode to look out for since this seasons episode titles were released (The Life and Death of Jeremy Bentham)
Also, who else thinks Ben might have crashed the plane?
I don't think the plane crashed.
I dunno. Maybe not in the same sense as the first one, but the others on the island found that campsite with things from Tajira airlines. And it was obviously out of control, what with the hostess getting tossed around like nothing.
Wouldn't suprise me if somehow this was the plane found in the indian ocean

The newsreader 'confirms it is Oceanic 815' which (unless it's worked into the final season/ending) it obviously isn't. I'm pretty sure the pictures you see of the plane (of Parkman/the pilot, bits of the plane etc) the parts of the plane that would identify it aren't shown

Heh, just rewatching season 2 atm...I forgot they find that old school army knife in the "tailies" shelter...

SPOILER: show |
LOVED THIS EPISODE SO MUCH.
God, I love this show. I will be very sad when it's over, but hopefully very satisfied. |
It's so cool to think about how far some of the stuff in the show has come. Like back when The Others first appears you just thought they were like these crazy jungle dwellers and now you find out Charles Widmore was their leader.
Honestly at this point I don't know who to trust. I like Ben as a character, but he is a real shady asshole. I don't think he knew what was going to happen to Locke when he got back to the island. I don't think he knew to go to Eloise Hawking either, until Locke said it.. that's why he suddenly did what he did, because he no longer needed Locke.
I want to believe Widmore, but it's hard not to think of him as the bad guy. I also wonder what kind of intentions Ben really has at this point. |
Michael Emerson plays the role of Ben so very very good. Ever since he first showed up, he's been this character where you're just not sure what the hell he is up to, and always seems to know more than he is letting on. Even when he gives you answers, or when he seems surprised, it seems like he's just totally in control of everything.

Totally agree, Ben is probably one of the best character I've seen across all of TV and film and it's down to both brilliant writing excellant acting. The fact that there is this ability for you to absolutely hate him at the start of the episode yet at the end really like him is something that is incredibly hard to pull off and yet Lost manages to do it consistantly throughout it's episodes. Anyway was a good episode, I notice we seme to be getting a few fill in the blanks episodes lately which is great. |
Except they create more questions than answers :p
Also, twas a great ep...god I hate having to wait so long for the next one though...

There was a major rumor going around that Evangaline Lilly was looking for new shows to audition for. Apparently this picked up some major steam and everyone began to assume that her charachter was gunna be killed off soon. But her rep came out and said the audition rumo was absolutely false.

Breaking: Is Evangeline Lilly leaving 'Lost'?
Feb 26, 2009, 01:23 PM | by Michael Ausiello Categories: Lost No! That's what multiple sources are telling me in response to a rumor that Lost's top heroine, Evangeline Lilly, may be leaving the show before it reaches its natural conclusion in May 2010. "We have no idea how this rumor got started," maintains Lilly's rep, "and whoever started it didn’t call us or ABC to verify the validity of it, for which there is none." Buzz about Lilly's possibly premature exit stemmed from a report on Zap2it.com that claimed the actress was actively searching for a new TV gig -- one that would launch this fall. But as an ABC source points out, she's under contract with Lost through the sixth and final season, and there's absolutely nothing to suggest she'll be sprung before then. Phew, crisis averted. |
You know the show is HUGE when rumors like this start making huge news.
I have a feeling Jack is going to die by the end of the show. Just a gut feeling. He is also the only cast member who knows the ending to the show.
I still think Jack will end up being Jacob...and I will be dissapointed because of it...
I get the feeling that somehow Jack will have to put his life in Locke's hands and finally trust him. Which way they then go with that is anybody's guess.
Locke is slowly creeping up into the Jack Bauer level for me. He's becomming one of my favorite charachters of all time.
Locke is incredible...
I'm actually abit upset that there has been a very large lack of Sawyer lately :( |
Anubis? They're Egyptian?
The island puts you in Tunisia. Maybe there is something in Tunisia that puts you on the island.
Completely random, but am I the only one who thinks that Radzinsky is Mikhail (Radzinsky being the guy in the hatch before Desmond and Kelvin)
Well, Horace's wife had the necklace from her husband, and the necklace was an egyptian ankh.
Yeah also in the statues hands it looks like it's holding the same symbol.
Also, I've alwasy rooted for Sawyer/Kate rather than Jack/Kate so now I don't know what to think about the whole Juliet thing. |

Totally stole this idea from the lostpedia.com forums.
Horus is a god of the Ancient Egyptian religion, most commonly known by the Greek version Horus, of the Egyptian Heru/Har. Horus was an ancient and important deity. He was also the son of Isis and Osiris. Some details of the character are changed or intermixed with other characters throughout the different dynasties and Egyptian cults and religions. For example, when Heru (Horus) fuses with Ra the Sun God, he becomes Ra-Horakhty.[1] The Eye of Horus became an important Egyptian symbol of power. Horus had a man's body and a falcon's head. Horus fought with Seth for the throne of Egypt. In this battle one of his eyes was injured and later it was healed by Hathor. This healing of the eye became a symbol of renewal. Horus united Egypt and bestowed divinity upon the pharaohs who were viewed as incarnations of Horus in life. I guess that would make Richard into Seth. Seth is one of the oldest of the Egyptian gods first appearing between 4000-3500 BCE.The ancient Egyptian God of storms and of the desert. The rival of Horus. Seth was also the god that protected the pharaohs from the evil serpent Apophis and was a companion of the sun god Amun-Ra and represented balance in the universe and central to the Egyptian concept of duality. Depicted with a man's body and head of an animal with a long nose and squared ears. His wife was his sister the goddess Nephthys, a protector of the dead. In Genesis Seth was the third son of Adam and Eve and the only child mentioned by name besides Cain and Abel. Born when Adam was 130 years old (Genesis 5:3), Seth was "a son in his likeness and image." Genesis 5:4 states that Adam fathered "sons and daughters" before his death, aged 930 years. It is stated in the Bible that Seth probably means "granted". |
Excellent episode. As good as this season has been, it's nice to have an ep more about a character and an arc that a bunch of sci-fi twists and turns. All the same, there was still the shot of the statue, which is one of those Lost moments that everyone is going to scrutinize and theorize about. Love it.

I'd assume the statue even predates the others being on the island.
Incredible episode...This season is wicked. Probably my favourite yet (so far anyway).
Also there has to be a reason why they picked the angle they did to reveal the statue. There has to be something distinguishing about the front of the statue other than whether it has the head of a falcon or a jackal. Maybe the statue is of a woman.
Maybe the statue has the face of Ben Linus :shifty:
Or because they were on the island, and it just faces outward like the foot has always shown. :p
So how long till next Lost ep?
6 days.
SPOILER: show |
I'd like to see Kate get impaled, vagina first, on my giant wooden log.

Re: Big Rumor
SPOILER: show |
Big Rumor
All of this is coming from DarkUFO which is normally right and they usually dont post these things unless they have a really good source. SPOILER: show |
Oh thank fuck...
Faraday will probably end up killing himself
Good ep. Not the best of the season by any means, but I found it pretty solid. Filled in alot of gaps very nicely...Next ep is either focusing on Sayid, or Kate (what happened to Aaron...I can't remember which it is though. Either way should be good.
Loving Sawyer at the moment, he's been the one character (besides Locke) who has been incredible this season :y: |
Yeah, pretty solid episode, and pretty solid season. It hasn't felt lacking at all, even though I really have no idea where the show is gonna go from here. It's amazing to see how much it has changed and still kept up with itself since the first season.
So far I think this has actually been my favourite season...every ep has really held it's own. I'm on the same page as you in regards to where it's going to go from here, quite amazing really.
One sweet thing I love about this show, is how things come to be later.
Someone just pointed out to me that the Runway that the plane landed on in present day this week.... was the runway that Sawyer and Kate had to help build when they had been captured. Hawt. |
SPOILER: show |
Im starting to think they have no idea where they are going with this show.
Its still great, but I just dont see where this is going....Wow. |
Holy. Shit.
Quote:
There is less than a season and a half left...im pretty sure they know what the hell is going on. |
Wow. Shocker.
Fuckin hell...good ep, great end. This season is absolutely incredible...
Gotta believe we'll see Jack operating on Young Ben and saving his life next ep.
Fucking love this show.

I wish they had done more with Sayid and the acid. Would have been hilarious if he was still tripping balls whenever Ben came there later.
Who didnt see that coming
Ben
Or maybe he isn't dead, and knew Sayid shot him when he was a kid all along.
yup because if he was dead they wouldnt be on the island
Maybe this is the reason Ben doesn't have The Others kill Oceanic when they first arrive, and why he lets himself get captured. He is curious to find out about who they are/where they came from having seen them as a child, but at the same time knows they won't kill him because they will later go back in time and do everything they are doing now.
"Whatever happened, happened"
Cool
lol Hurley and Miles' conversation cracked me up. awesome episode tonight. It is confirming a lot of things for me now.
Hurley/Miles was great.
I love the way the writers have always used Hurley as a sort of voice for of the viewers and says asks the questions that we ask.
Can't wait for the monster to kill Ben next week
lol what? highly doubt it is going to kill him
i am curious to see what richard was talking about though, cause he put it in a way that i didn't really expect. kind of funny to see that everything ben did was essentially their fault though, because he wouldn't have ended up that way without them doing things the way they did |
I wanna know what the fuck happened to Faraday. They said that Ellie and Charles were leaders of the Others at this point so Faraday possibly jumped ship and joined up with them, which would explain why Sawyer said what he said when Jack asked him if Faraday was still there.
In 1977, Faraday had already been born, but Ellie is presumably still on the island. So does that mean that young Faraday is on the island? If so, that would be the first time that both the past and future versions of someone have been in the same reality that we know of. That has to create some sort of wacky nutty situation right? I dunno, maybe Ellie gave Faraday away when he was little. Then he wouldn't be on the island when future Faraday came back. That would also explain why he doesn't have a British accent. Or perhaps, and I'm just pulling this out of my ass as I go, people have been in the same reality as their past selves and that's what caused the nosebleeds. I don't have any real evidence to support that but it would explain why when Charlotte didn't get the nosebleeds, Sawyer and Juliet did. Maybe it was because Charlotte's past self was off the island but Sawyer and Juliet's past selves were still there. I dunno, probably wrong |
