TIPS:

- Clean up your connection. Do what you can, at least. Stop downloading porn/movies/whatever. Tell your MOM to get off the computer, you're playing in a fighting video game tournament for an internet wrestling message board. I think the only one who had an iffy connection anyway was Drakul and I think it's because he lives in wherever he lives. We shouldn't have too much of a problem connecting to each other. I don't think.

- Bust out the legal pad and crayon. The only way we can get your results is by your first hand account. So after a match, try to do your best to dramatically recreate what just happened. Don't concentrate so hard on your summary that it distracts you from the game, but a little effort would be appreciated. Sure you could say "I lost 4-2" and be done with it, but a little drama would be appreciated. It also helps to keep track of who you used, who they used and what happened.

- Take a break between matches. Like 2-6 minutes or so. Take a breather.

Just played G, 2 minutes ago... and got my ass kicked. His style is weird as shit. Like he has good zoning and has mastered the cross up and and will trap you if you are not careful, but if you're pressuring him you can see him go for a move but mess up the input and his combos are still on the simpler side and it's easy to chain a bunch of hits together if he gives you an opening.\

Thought I had that last match, but I got caught in the cross up trap from hell and went from half a bar to dead while he only needed one hit.

Not playing tonight. Fucking pissed about all of the speakers in the Surround Sound set being mute save one, so now my Street Fighter playlist comes out mono - and fuck that. Tried to fix it and nothing works, so when I play I have to play like I'm on some 1950's TV. I could still play tonight under those conditions and play music off this comp but I'm pissed. CHOOooOOOOKE. If I had just finished him up in this match I would have taken it and won. I missed so many focus dashes. I believe he went up 2-0 and then gave me 2 pity round wins. So final round, both have low health, HE MISSES HIS SUPER! I lick my lips, smile, and then go for the ultra. Missed input. EX Flash kick, blocked, died. :( I was so angry.

Match 2: Fei Long vs. Ken

Not much to say here. Missed inputs galore. Couldn't do any of his moves.

Match 3: Guile vs. Cammy

I think I swept him if I remember correctly. Was it a pity win? Maybe Kalyx can elaborate more.

Match 4: Bison vs. Sakura

MISSED THROWS. Hopefully Kalyx can atest to this. Instead of tech grabs, bison would miss his throw and Sak would get hers. Every fucking time. It was really making me mad. Got out to 2-0 somehow but in the end, Kalyx knew what he was doing and came back.

Match 5: Akuma vs. Cammy

Time to get serious. I went up 2-1. Low life and ANOTHER missed focus dash. 2-2. Cammy goes for focus, I'm on the other side with the Ultra. HOLLA.

Couldn't decide between Akuma or Fei Long but went with Akuma. Went up 2-0. First match was almost a perfect. But then DISCONNECT.

I <3 Balrog now. Fucking beatdowns in the corner, charging through projectiles. I thought I was just a fireball guy myself but I now have much love for the chargers.

OK, thecc woke up and punished me with a couple of ultra round wins. I thought he was going to beat me, but luckily he walked into a few too many ant-air hadoukens

Chun-Li 3-2 Ryu

Yeah, I was picked apart, This would have been 3-1 if it wasn't for a lucky ultra from me. Last round went down to the last slither of both our life but thecc deserved this

Ryu 2-3 Akuma

After that, I thought I would go back to Akuma so I could finish with a walk in the park. WRONG! thecc was clearly used to my Akuma by this point. First round I demolished him... for the first half, even had him dizzied in the corner and he still came back to take it. Few roundhouses and anther two ultras later (only one for the finish though, the other thecc survived and took that round too) and I take it

I also felt like a complete loser when thecc beat me with Chun-Li, because not only did I lose, it came up with the achievement for having 500 XBox Live fights :'(

I'm advancing tomorrow night to give Fignuts/Boomer an extra day.

I've been home a little more the past few days, but boomer is never on when I am by myself. Always when I've got people over to watch netflix.

I think the MVC2 tourney will go round-robin style and top 4-6 will go double elimination.

But that will take all fucking year. Not even a hyperbole there. That will take 12 months to advance.

Yeah Roxer beat me no surprise. But I did better than I thought I would. Won 2 matches, with my Ken taking out Akuma, and Gouken handling Bison. Surprising to me. Other than that it was massacre.

Blitz beat my Akuma. I don't even think he was expecting that.

Match 1: Guile vs. Cammy Perfect the first round. Won the next 2.

Match 2: Guile vs. Ken Much closer. Went tied 2-2 down to a real nailbiter. I think I surprised him with two EX Sonic Booms. Had he won this match, he might have been in a position to beat me and advance.

Match 3: Bison vs. Fei Long :o Poor Blitz. 3-0

Match 4: Akuma vs. Ken I guess my only excuse is that I was practicing too much with other characters? Or I wasn't expecting Blitz's Ken techniques? I dunno. 1-3

Match 5: Bison vs. Gouken Here, Blitz handed off his controller to a buddy of his. No way was that him. He is really good with Gouken which I wasn't expecting.

Match 6: Sagat vs. Gouken I win 3-0. Perfect last round...okay maybe he's not THAT good with him.

Right, so it finally happened. Big surprise, I got stomped on. Here's a brief recap:

1. Akuma (me) vs Vega (Kalyx) 0 - 3

Match was mad laggy thanks to my brother running 54643578 torrents. Thought I did ok in the first round until Kalyx decided shit was boring and it was time to speed it up. Basically swept me. Also, wtf Capcom, Vega having an airthrow? He has enough moves god damnit.

2. Sagat vs Vega: 0 - 3

Lately (and by lately, I mean since July) I have not been able to get it done with Sagat like Used to. Horribly mistimed everything and got destroyed.

3. Balrog vs Sakura 1 - 3

Yay, no more Vega. Aw, crap it's Sakura. After months of Kalyx going on about my Sakura this and my Sakura that I got to taste it. And does not taste good. He literally shut me down entirely with low weak punches the entire first round. Found a way around it and managed to win my first round of the tourney only, to have him ex shouken, juggle and ultra me to death. It's starting to look real bleak here.

4. Blanka vs Sakura 3 - 1

Uh oh, I've found Kalyx's one character he has "trouble" with... First round goes to me, but only because he's never seen my Blanka before. A nice mix of in your face and tentative, if I do say so myself. Kept getting caught in the god damn focus attack trap this match especially. KALYX COMES BACK AND TAKES TAKES THE NEXT ROUND, I'M LIKE NOOOO, MY SWEEP, MY GLORIOUS SWEEP. Nah, jk I'm actually surprised I took this, because those last 2 rounds were hard fought. Seriously. Round for was a next hit wins deal, and I busted out the best attack of my life and actually made him panic for all of 2 seconds.

5. Bison vs Ken: 0 - 3

This was actually more even than I thought it would be. Lots of back and forth, with me dropping the ball at the end of each round. Fucking hell. At one point in the second round, I was literally owning Kalyx to the point where I had half a bar and he had 1 hit to go. I go in for the kill, and he times the most perfect ultra ever and finishes it right then and there.

Overall, I'd say I'd have done better and probably could have made it 7 matches if:

1. I'd practiced. I'd only played 1 time briefly since fighting G. Damn you, BlazBlue, Prototype and Shadow Complex.

2. I'd fucking taken Ken and Blanka instead ofAkuma and Sagat.

3. I'd settled the fuck down a little more and managed to time throw escapes better. Although lol @ me just casually waking up to Sakura from across the screen with Blanka and just throwing her that 1 time.
