Welcome to the doghouse, Ryan McBean. Next stop, free agency

OssMan 09-12-2010 04:42 PM

Matt Moore and Matt Dodge need to be cut from their teams

OssMan 09-12-2010 04:45 PM

What @ Calvin Johnson catching a touchdown and then getting up and not being given a touchdown

Ugly win, but hey, a win's a win. Can't help but think the secondary is gonna be torched by Peyton next week tho.

STOP BRINGING THE NEGATIVITY TO THE SEASON. THE GIANTS ARENT THE METS.

BS rule. When a guy can palm the football and puts his hand down to get up he's not dropping the fucking catch.

If Stafford's not badly injured plenty of reason for optimism for Detroit though.

VonErichLives 09-12-2010 05:06 PM

good game, good win, not overly excited except the Bengals should have a good offense with those big WR and Benson... felt the D did pretty well, gave up a little at the end but some of that was garbage time.

Also, props to Ocho playing till the end, taking that hit and congratulating the Patriot that nailed him.

so, how many more games like that till TO is well... "TO"...

DaveWadding 09-12-2010 05:09 PM

Adrian Wilson is a freezer chest.

McLegend 09-12-2010 05:12 PM

That Leonard Weaver injury was disgusting

Not trying to be negative, just stating the facts that it was an ugly win. Moore was able to rack up some yardage, especially on 3rd down. Thankfully he sucks so he threw 3 picks in the end zone.

Liked Bradshaw turning it on towards the end.

Seemed like Seubert was getting burned a ton. May not be long before Andrews gets the starting nod.

Dodge sucks, but Coughlin won't waste a practice squad spot so I doubt the Giants cut him in favor of a veteran.

The return of Bear Pascoe next week is almost definite. Love that guy.

Evil Vito 09-12-2010 05:41 PM

Antrel Rolle was the Giants' leading tackler today.

McLegend 09-12-2010 05:47 PM

The packers are gonna get some points here.

How many of them were after he got torched by the guy he was supposed to be covering?

Means nothing to me. He could have allowed the catch from poor coverage and tackled him late. Or from being out of position.

Give it time Vito, you'll see it my way.

DaveWadding 09-12-2010 06:06 PM

lol Niners.

Cooler Tom Schuler 09-12-2010 06:08 PM

Damn, Mike Vick is still quick.

CSL 09-12-2010 06:15 PM

Most of his tackles came against the run or on short dump-off passes where the LBs were covering.

But when the Giants signed him, all you said was that he can't tackle. So suck it. :foc:

BUT IT'S RED

RoXer 09-12-2010 06:19 PM

My gripe with him is blown coverages.

Ask Steve Smith what he thinks about him

CSL 09-12-2010 07:28 PM

Vick passes 100 yards rushing for the day. It's 2005 again.

McLegend 09-12-2010 07:33 PM

Son of a bitch

Droford 09-12-2010 07:42 PM

Mark Claytons got over 100 yards receiving for the Rams but doesn't show up when it counts just like last year.

D Mac 09-12-2010 07:48 PM

Haha fucking Colts lost.

Gonzo 09-12-2010 07:56 PM

First game at the new stadium was awesome.

The team looked pretty anemic all around in the first half. They turned it around in the first half. The only thing I hate about seeing a game in person is that it's tough to analyze some aspects as well as you would on TV.

From what I could tell:

- Special teams coverage was pretty suspect all game long. In a related note, Matt Dodge blows.
- The run game was pretty poor. We racked up over 100+ combined between Bradshaw and Jacobs, but I feel it was just because they ended up with 30+ carries. I don't feel it was a real "threat." The offensive line seemed to have no push off the ball.
- The defense forced the Panthers into some favorable third down situations, and gave up the first on a handful. Definitely need to shore that up. Tough to say what kind of schemes were being called in those situations. Loved that the defense tightened up in the red zone. The pressure on the QB seemed to be better in the second half. I feel like there may have been some actual adjustments by the coaching staff, as opposed to last year with Bill Sheridan.
- Maybe it was rust, maybe weather, but some of Eli's passes were a bit off point. His INT's came off deflections from balls that could have been caught, but they definitely seemed to be less than ideal on the throw.

D Mac 09-12-2010 07:58 PM

KC will win tomorrow night and be 1-0. Everyone else in the AFC West will be 0-1.

Droford 09-12-2010 08:01 PM

Cant wait for tomorrow night.

CSL 09-12-2010 08:01 PM

Tony Dungy still perfecting his 'Cleveland Brown in a lower key' impression.

SammyG 09-12-2010 08:02 PM

Heart Break city :(

D Mac 09-12-2010 08:03 PM

Well the good news SammyG is that Bradford got that first game under his belt. He looked pretty good considering some of the mistakes he made. He'll grow.

SammyG 09-12-2010 08:06 PM

I understand that, but wtf @ Spags not calling a timeout there at the end. WTF @ fumbling the ball at the goal line by Ryan, wtf @ the blocked field goal, wtf @ the 3 dropped balls on that last drive. Bradford, I was satisfied with. You can't, however, have your rookie QB throw 55 passes, and only give your best player 22 touches that whole game. Very winnable game

CSL 09-12-2010 08:24 PM

I'd lick Faith Hill and everything but the Sunday Night Football intro is gayer than ever.
