Just let it be.

The Naitch 03-18-2011 04:13 PM

she wasn't even a "host" on the show. She just showed up for an in-ring promo and backstage promo. No hype for her at all really.

There was "hype" before her appearance. That's my point, people were all like this is gonna be huge, instead it was nothing.

Gertner 03-18-2011 04:17 PM

Be jealous Frankenstein.

CSL 03-18-2011 04:20 PM

lol you are ridiculous.

Ruien 03-18-2011 04:20 PM

There was really no hype to anyone that did not go to WWE.com or a different wrestling website. They are banking her popularity to get a few more views at Mania.

For someone who watches USA for the House, Law and Order, and NCIS shows (Which are on almost 24/7) I seen 0 commercials for Snookie at Raw.

Jeritron 03-18-2011 04:38 PM

This is a thread I won't even bite for further than this, because it's trolling.

But even you and I both agreed, in that very thread, that ratings wouldn't see a change, nor do they really ever for crossovers.
We touched upon that specifically. And the fact that it wasn't the WWE's intention to boost ratings to begin with.
It was to gain media attention which they got a fair deal of.

So go away. This is a horrible thread that displays how petty you are, on top of being completely off the mark. It's a glorified red herring.
It shows you not being able to let it go that Snooki has in fact been a success for WWE in the way they wanted it to be.

I don't expect you to care, but you probably killed any shred of credibility you had on here by posting this thread just to be a clown.

Made me actually stay for a LayCool segment anyway. God, the combo of that blonde troll, turkey neck and the hot but annoying voice of Layla makes all my senses want to die. Even smell.

Emperor Smeat 03-18-2011 05:03 PM

I think the WWE looked at Snooki being part of Wrestlemania as their bigger goal than the 1 week of hype they did for her being a guest on RAW.

She was barely on RAW besides a skit or two until near the end of the show and only hyped her appearance for about a week instead of letting the media hype it up for a couple of weeks if they wanted a better ratings boost.

The Naitch 03-18-2011 05:16 PM

I wanna see the whole Jersey Shore crew on RAW. Maybe the night after WrestleMania

ONE CAN DREAM

MoFo 03-18-2011 05:35 PM

Cole gained a million fans for his segment w/ GMS & co.

Orton v Mason Ryan lost 620,000 viewers.

Justified.

Lara Emily 03-18-2011 06:45 PM

Hey some people were claiming that getting Snooki was huge for WWE and I'm just showing that it didn't do anything. That's all.

For the record she was in a pretty good segment and I quite enjoyed it (Doesn't hurt that it had 3 awesome female heels and Trish Stratus in it) but it was a solid segment and she more then held her own in it.

I'm not trolling either, was just making an observation

Anybody Thrilla 03-18-2011 06:47 PM

You don't know that. She just may boost Wrestlemania buyrates.

No, but they did talk about it on SportsNation. That's a plus.

#BROKEN Hasney 03-18-2011 06:50 PM

Probably get more ratings if they kicked Laycool and the divas off altogether, or only kept the hot ones around for HLA.

The Naitch 03-18-2011 06:51 PM

I think she mainly helps WWE look "hip and current" by association. That's all.

WWE had Pamela Anderson in Diesel's corner with that kid from Home Improvement and HBK had Jenny McCarthy.

BUSINESS AS USUAL

Which you could have (attempted) to do in the original thread. But bless you though.

LayCool are heat machines, so is Vickie, hell Snooki got her best reaction by opposing Vicky and LayCool until then there was no real reaction for her.

Dammit, was already in the process of merging to see if this "smugness over the most stupid minor thing" would be dialled down.

Fantastic. I still have to skip the segments to ensure my ears don't start bleeding and I feel some type of annoyance that they get TV time when they could show Waynes World again in 5 minute segments every Raw and still be much more entertaining.

IT'S AAAAALIVE!!!!

The Naitch 03-19-2011 03:19 PM

but yeah Snookie was all over TMZ, Inside Edition, Access Hollywood, ET, and that keeps reminding the casual folks that wrestling is and always will be a part of pop-culture forever and ever. It will never go away.

I remember first watching Inside Edition in 1997 and seeing Austin/Tyson go at it. It was the coolest thing. I thought it was all legit.

So now, maybe some 12 year old girl who watches Jersey Shore might start tuning into WWE just for that. I dunno. Hook line sinker_style

Probably would have been reflected in the ratings were that the case.
