Pretty disgusting how much trash got on the grass of Yankee Stadium tonight. Also I guess the fans were littering too.

SammyG 04-02-2013 03:17 AM

Clayton. Fucking. Kershaw.

Schlomey 04-02-2013 07:29 AM

I really want to watch swishers debut as an Indian today. Anyone on tpww know of a good streaming website for out of market games?

Did someone hit 4 HR yesterday or did I dream that?

Sorry, screech. Still 161 games left though :)

I took solace in the fact that Howard didn't strike out or hurt himself to end it.

Cano dumps Boras as his agent, switching to Roc Nation Sports, basically Jay Z

it happened.

I would love it if St Louis wins 0 games this year. That would be a fun streak.

Or until we play the Nationals in the World Series come October.

Supreme Olajuwon 04-02-2013 11:56 AM

they'll probably play the Yankees sometime between now and then

Keith 04-02-2013 11:57 AM

You've never been to the Trop, have you?

Not even the Yankees assure 20,000 fans will show up.

And definitely not the 2013 Yankees.

Droford 04-02-2013 01:00 PM

Watching game 4 of the ALDS

I'm nervous watching and I know it goes 13 for the o's to win lol

Droford 04-02-2013 03:06 PM

Nothing like a half empty stadium on opening day...guess they tarp off most seats up high

Droford 04-02-2013 03:11 PM

Dan Connolly @danconnollysun 43s Huge long-haired guy slamming a gong at Tropicana Field is going to rival most annoying thing in MLB this year. Way more than Tim McCarver

DaveWadding 04-02-2013 03:27 PM

Seems weird that the Rays have Kelly Johnson hitting below Jose Molina. I know it's a strategic/run scoring/2nd leadoff guy thing, but it's still odd to me.

Innovator 04-02-2013 04:25 PM

Some people on facebook were hitting the panic button yesterday, cmon people.

Been getting a flurry of emails from the Cubs about how "limited" seats are still available for their home opener. Last time they didn't sell out an opener was 1997.

The curse of Frank Drebin has only just begun.

Blood will ooze through the ivy coated walls and locusts will roam the Wrigley outfield.

Droford 04-02-2013 05:18 PM

Lol, walk wieters who had a hr earlier to get to Davis who launched an earl Weaver special to put the Os up 7-3 after giving up a 2-0 lead.

Joe Maddon Working On Creating Cool New Infield Position

SPORTS NEWS IN BRIEF • Sports • Mlb Baseball • ISSUE 48•16 • Apr 17, 2012

ST. PETERSBURG, FL—Saying he finds the

defensive positioning that has been standard

in baseball for well over 100 years

"staid" and "primitive," Rays manager Joe

Maddon revealed Monday he is deep in the

process of creating an exciting new infield

position for his team. "It's going to be

called 'thwartstop,'" said Maddon, who has

been working on the position off and on since

abandoning efforts to reimagine the left fielder

role in the late 1990s. "I haven't worked out all

the kinks, but basically you use one less

outfielder, and the thwartstop plays in a different part of the infield for each batter, standing in

the exact spot spray charts show the batter is most likely to hit the ball." He later showed

reporters a special prototype thwartstop glove he has been sewing and divulged that he

offered Evan Longoria $500 to star in a instructional video series about the new position that

Maddon is self-producing.

Darvish perfect through 5 with 10 ks but high pitch count

6 and 12ks, 82 pitches

Schlomey 04-02-2013 09:54 PM

watching Indians vs Blue Jays via stream tonight. Swish looks good but his bat is cold. Indians pitching is very strong tonight. Good and fast game.

Droford 04-02-2013 10:05 PM

Blue Jays lose lol

Schlomey 04-02-2013 10:07 PM

I'm happy about that even though I have a soft spot for the Jays.
