The faster people realize that this is not going to be Chris Nolan's Batverse, the better off we'll be. Already I've seen an inordinate (even for the internet) amount of bitching about this. I've never understood why Affleck gets the shit he does. He's a good actor who's turned in some excellent performances. I'm fine with this.

I respect Affleck as an actor. He's cultivated an excellent career. However, I saw Daredevil.

It's just a movie I like Batman a lot and I don't care, I'll see the trailer and if it sucks I'll do what I always do, smoke some pot and move on. But I do LOVE seeing fanboys all upset.

Looking through his IMDB, the only movies I have ever seen Ben Affleck in are Armageddon (which I don't remember at all) and Daredevil.

Christian Bale comes across as someone who could punch you and you'd be down for the count. Mark Wahlberg (I wouldn't cast Mark Wahlberg as Batman) comes across as someone who could punch you and you'd be down for the count. Ben Affleck seems to me like someone who could punch you and you'd be like 'Aight, bitch, that's all you've got'. I just feel like Batman should be someone who won't leave me feeling 'Aight, bitch that's all you got'.

Ben Affleck is going to have to punch me. This is probably the only way for me to determine if he is a good choice.
