Its odd that Bubba does not like being a singles guy. The one thing TNA did right was make me see how awesome he could be at it.

I'm happy that Charlotte vs. Becky Lynch is happening in Orlando. I hope there is some "NXT pride" flowing tomorrow.
|
We needed this thread a whole week ahead of time as opposed to 1-2 hours ahead of time because WHY?
|
Reigns\Brock is the only one's with a chance.

GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOD MORNING ROYAL RUMBLE!!!

I like how half of the Tipsters entries have Triple H winning the Rumble, all from the #30 spot. That would make it just about the most predictable Rumble "surprise entrant" ever.

Oh I know that Reigns, Triple H, and Lesnar are the only three realistic winners. It's just funny to me that the announcers will surely be all like OHMYGODIT'STRIPLEHICAN'TBELIEVETHIS!!! when his music hits and it'll be treated as this massive surprise even though basically the entire audience is expecting it.

Would love to see Bray do it personally, not just to legitimise him, but to build to a title match with Lesnar at Mania. It could be very intriguing, put Bray on that level and have the believability of Lesnar having problems with them as a group. Then you could just have Triple H costing Reigns in some way to continue the build to their match, which honestly, doesn't need the title |
I think Reigns vs Lesnar is the much better option. There is absolutely no intrigue behind HHH vs Reigns for the title main eventing WrestleMania. Feels like a SummerSlam main event. HHH isn't a guy who should be closing out Mania at this point. He's the "co-main event" guy. Add to that the fact that no one would buy him walking out of WrestleMania as champion and it just doesn't work.
Reigns and Lesnar have unfinished business. A year ago they set out to find out who the better man is and it was ruined by Seth Rollins. Now there's no MITB winner to get in the way and they can settle it once and for all. It would be better if Lesnar was still carrying his unbeatable aura from after he ended the streak and squashed Cena to take the title... but it's the best story they could tell while actually making people question the outcome. |
Also, you'd think the title being on the line would actually raise the interest of the Rumble but for some reason I'm feeling this less than usual. And I'm usually someone who is looking forward to the Rumble even when I haven't been into the product leading up to it.
|
They might press a panic button of sorts and throw whatever Bullet Club members they have in there to generate some excitement and talking points. There just aren't enough viable winners in there at the moment. I think that is the problem.
The list of possible winners was small enough, but when it is for the title, there are even less. I think they should go with a surprise winner maybe. Bray could win and have Tamer challenge him for one more shot at glory in his home state. Then you have a Lesnar match and Reigns-HHH to hold that up. Not ideal, but not bad under the circumstances. |

As much as I can't stand when they throw the title on a guy after jobbing him left and right instead of building him up to it...
Bray Wyatt winning would be fucking amazing. 0 chance of it happening... but, yeah. |
Kofi elimination idea...
He gets tossed out by Reigns but Big E and Xavier, who were already eliminated but stayed at ringside, catch him. They start dancing around the ring, holding Kofi like a big baby and celebrating the save when Jericho, who they eliminated earlier, comes out and chases them to the back. For the next 20 minutes or so, we get occasional cutaways to the back where Kofi is standing on crates and stuff, trying to escape back to the ring while being stalked by Jericho as Big E and Xavier try to protect him. |
Get kofi some stilts or a pogo stick
Maybe theres a bicycle under the ring in tribute of dusty rhodes |

It doesn't guarantee a Triple H victory but makes his odds a lot better especially if the ring has more anti-Reigns guys in it when #30 happens. |
I figured it would make the most sense if they want a massive heel for Reigns.

predictable isn't always a bad thing in wrestling if it's done well and tells a good story

bound to be a few "classic" surprises, Jake, Scott Hall, Waltman, Carlito, RVD etc, wouldn't be surprised to see a couple of those. Still expecting NXT guys, Balor, Joe, Zayn, Corbin would be my "top guesses", all the AJ rumours obvs, looking forward to it
|
The WWE put up a vid speculating on Austin being a surprise then i looked on my Calendar and its beer can appreciation day..so..lol
|
The others they speculated on
Rollins - unless hes got mutant superhealing powers i doubt it Bryan - ?? Taker - pretty likely Im guessing Sting - again, like Rollins, i doubt it Goldberg - least likely of them all which says something |
Bryan is a possibility, depends how his week went. Taker maybe but only if they're going to build on it or even as a dark horse to win. Don't see Sting or Goldberg, Rollins unless he has the aforementioned healing powers
|
If it is RVD, I riot

Dunno what it is about the Rumble but I love it, really up for this. Triple H is predictable, but will prob still mark if Motorhead hits at number 30.
I really should want to see as much current guys in there as possible too, but I have to admit, I love the surprises, even if its just for the entrance pop. |

Angle screws over TNA and shows up 2 weeks early?
|
Glad James Steele is on TPWW today, so we can get his reaction when Triple H wins the Royal Rumble. If Steele survives the experience.
