Pirating from a huge company is good, not bad

mike adamle 05-11-2019 11:48 PM

What if they rehashed the old PMS gimmick and had Lars play Shawn Meat Stasiak and Naomi and Ember Moon play Terri and Jacqueline

The morality in here is all fucked up. I agree with Seph here but you disagree, look back to the pizza prank discussion to see why this is weird.

I remain square on all matters of theft.

Seanny One Ball 05-12-2019 12:06 AM

They used to have an anti-piracy ad at the beginning of most DVD's that said "you wouldn't steal a car" and "piracy is a crime" etc.

Anyway it turns out the music they used for that was pirated.

So that's irony.

Buncha Goddamn saints on TPWW. Who knew.

Mr. Nerfect 05-12-2019 12:27 AM

Way to miss the actual point, by the way, Seph.

Seanny One Ball 05-12-2019 01:09 AM

You didn't seriously just say that...

Fucking hell, Seanny, you are so fucking stupid. Go back and read my posts and what they were actually about.

That you're such a prominent poster here all of a sudden is like Jeff Jarrett main eventing WCW in 1999/2000.

Seanny One Ball 05-12-2019 01:33 AM

It's about time somebody compared me to Jeff Jarrett.

Triple A please change my name to Slap Nut

Seanny One Ball 05-12-2019 01:34 AM

Change Noid's to Nap Slut

Mr. Nerfect 05-12-2019 01:38 AM

Seph is clinging to that one element because it makes him feel good to lick his superior's balls while they're shitting. It's the one thing that makes him feel like he has ground to make a reasonable point. It's baby bullshit, but it's what makes him feel good. The point was about paying money to a company you want to see change in. It's completely separate from whether or not cutting into a giant monopolous cunt of a company that exploits anyone and anything they can by $10 a month makes you a piece of shit or not.

If you are uncomfortable watching WWE have a confirmed racist powerbombing black dudes on television, or them accepting giant checks to do shitty propaganda videos for a regime that oppresses women and religious minorities, then make sure that when their next quarterly meeting comes up they can't report metrics they've sustained because you kept supporting. That's what giving money to them is -- supporting them.

If you hate it, stop supporting them. Eventually, given their own dealings on-screen and off, they're going to erode their audience to the point that stockholders will start pulling out. It might be bit-by-bit at first, but that will scare others. It's only then that WWE will change a goddamn thing.

Mr. Nerfect 05-12-2019 01:40 AM

I actually do like naps, so I changed my user title for the first time in over a decade.

Seanny One Ball 05-12-2019 01:41 AM

What?

Your user title is now a 2000 Jeff Jarrett WCW reference

Mr. Nerfect 05-12-2019 01:49 AM

No, it's not. It's an inversion of it, you knucking fumbskull.

Seanny One Ball 05-12-2019 02:10 AM

It's OK to love the Double J

Mr. Nerfect 05-12-2019 02:32 AM

It's OK to love my Double D, Seanny. No, that's not meant to be plural.

Ruien 05-12-2019 09:02 AM

Two of the current worst posters going at it. Awesome.

Sixx 05-12-2019 10:17 AM

So, what statement did he release?

Lars hasn't posted anything regarding the issue on Twitter.

where did he post it then? the thread title is misleading

Triple A 05-12-2019 06:59 PM

It's on page 2, idk why the original thread title was edited

Lars/WWE released this statement to some websites:

Quote:

“There is no excuse for the inappropriate remarks that I made years ago. They do not reflect my personal beliefs nor who I am today, and I apologize to anyone I offended.”

Ruien, what do you even post? You don’t even have a personality on here.

Evil Vito 05-14-2019 01:57 PM

Lars fined $100,000

#1-norm-fan 05-14-2019 02:04 PM

They’ve known about the comments for years. Suddenly it becomes known about outside of the WWE bubble and NOW they decide to fine him. Okay then.

WWE supports a culture of inclusion regardless of gender, race, religion or sexual orientation, and we are committed to embracing all individuals as demonstrated by the diversity of our employees, performers and fans worldwide.

Dylan Miley (aka Lars Sullivan) will be fined $100,000 and required to complete sensitivity training for offensive commentary uncovered from his past. WWE will also facilitate meetings for Dylan with community organizations to foster further discussion around the power of social media and the impact of your words.
How does a company fine one of their workers $100,000 for comments they made before they worked for the company (which the company already knew about).........

Mr. Nerfect 05-14-2019 02:19 PM

In other news, Lars Sullivan has received a pay increase of $250,000 a year.

There's no way he pays a fine without them covering him for it with bonuses or whatever.
WWE openly said they knew about this stuff because he told them about it and they hired him anyway.

He could sue them for that so they can only be making a hollow public gesture.

Mr. Nerfect 05-14-2019 05:59 PM

I wonder how much Sullivan is getting for presumably being a featured participant in the 50-man Battle Royal in Saudi Arabia? Didn't Jack Swagger miss out on $100,000 or so because he got caught with marijuana around the the time of WrestleMania 29? They see this as being about on par with a pot pop.

GD 05-14-2019 06:06 PM

Remember when Vince fined Billy Kidman $100,000 for sneezing?

No. Is that a true story? God, there is so much fucking dirt on this company. A good journalist could rip these fucking pieces of shit to pieces.

GD 05-14-2019 07:25 PM

No. I made it up.

Mr. Nerfect 05-14-2019 07:31 PM

Why?

The company’s reputation is so dire with the fans that nothing seems out of the realm of possibility. Like they’ll fine Big Dave $100,000 for blading, and then have Brock open up Orton and Reigns the hard way.

Mr. Nerfect 05-14-2019 07:45 PM

That's true. I don't put anything past them. The Brock hard-way stuff is beyond ridiculous.
