Going off on a DAMN iNATOR style side story here. The best time I ever had a theatre was going to see the second Twilight movie. I forget the name of it. Unimportant. My wife dragged me to it when her bestie had to back out due to an emergency and she didn't want to waste the ticket. Whatever, Twilight blows but I can take a couple hours of Hell for the misses no sweat.

The theatre is wall to wall super hyped up girls of all ages. I scan the area and see a handful of other poor souls who seem to be in this predicament with me. I nod to them, signaling that we will persevere. They raise their fists in solidarity. (OK that part didn't happen but pretend it did for dramatic effect.) Fast forward to like half way through this awful picture and there is a scene where Jacob is wearing the most Central Floridian pair of jorts you have ever laid eyes upon...and then he takes off his shirt. Every single girl in there from ages 6-80 all simultaneously burst out in an embarrassing cacophony of "oooooohs" and "aaaaaaaahs" and I swear I heard someone say "He's so dreamy." Gag. But then it happened, the best thing that ever happened at the theatre. One of my similarly miserable brothers sitting somewhere behind me in this sea of gaggling geese saw Jacob take his shirt off and he saw his opportunity. As all the ladies swooned, this man casually stands up, clears his throat and exclaims to the Heavens "NICE SHORTS FAG!!"

Chaos commenced. All manners of snackery and liquid refreshments were hurled his way from those nearby as the entire theatre erupted into a deafing boo. He grinned, unwavering, unflinching and took his comeuppance in stride. I looked back at this champion of justice with a smile on my face. This man had saved the day and salvaged an otherwise torturous experience for the few of us stalwart warriors who had dared to brave the hall of velour seating. His bravery and sacrifice will never be forgotten.

Sounds like a truly hellish experience at the cinema. I’d ask for my money back if I had to deal with that shit.

The movie was a drag for me regardless and that minute or 2 of chaos was by the most entertaining time I spent in the theatre that day. I'm not the guy to ask for a refund anyways. I get agitated too easily over things like that and I'd rather not snap in public and cause a scene. Mad embarrassing.

He was fucking ace in Tenet. That, for me, was enough to forget about his glitter vampire days.

Hope Edward announces himself in the movie like Lego Batman does. Just a dead serious monotone "I'm Batman".

Pattinson has been owning it for several years now. He'll do a good job.

Pattinson has been ace for a long while now. And he apparently wanted to play the character badly. So much so he reached out about what the status of the film was. I think he’s gonna kill it with whatever he’s given.

Just a month away baby. Tickets go on sale next week. I’ve read they reported test screening reactions that this movie is very Chinatown/zodiac in vine and style. They released the funeral scene and I got seven vibes. Haven’t seen Chinatown but I loved Zodiac.

Yeah I’ve heard a lot of comparisons to Seven. Looking forward to it. Riddler is what I wanted from Dark Knight Rises with Joker as a sort of Hannibal Lecter-like character.

I’ve read March 1 IMAX screenings are selling/have sold out. It seems Pattinson has shaken off the twilight dust enough to have a big opening weekend at least. No we wait for the critic’s to chime in.

It’s probably both. General audiences like Batman. But not enough to carry BvS and Justice League to expectations and I think an Affleck led Batman movie wouldn’t be getting this kind of hype. Pattinson also has a following as both a heartthrob and a serious actor.

I have the same feeling about Pattinson that I did about Bale. And Bale turned out to be fantastic.



I think this movie will be great. I imagine there will be changes to the Riddler character as we know it. I'm a bit concerned about the long run time, but honestly if you love Batman and you want a great movie, you take the chance and sit through it. I think the long run time actually points towards this being really really good.

I think they havent showed the Riddler because the big reveal is that he isnt in a mask as we all remember from comics and the animated series. I think he's going to be deformed some how. Maybe something to do with Batman. I think they're losing the mask for Riddler. Which I honestly would not mind. It's modern. It makes sense.

Affleck has a stink on him from long ago that will not wash away. You could put him in Star Wars and kill the IP.

This is my favorite RP post ever. Bale is amazing. Assuming the run time will give the plot proper time to flesh out...... hopefully.

They’ve got a lot to establish with introducing Riddler, Penguin, and Catwoman in the same movie. That said, you’re not going from a standing start with these characters; the outlines are very well established in the public consciousness. I’ve faith that this movie will deliver.

I have a feeling that Penguin is "barely" going to be in it, and is just going to be like an "opening scene action sequence villain" to establish things.

I've read enough things about the film I've possibly spoiled some plot stuff for myself - which I will not spoil for anyone else - but everything I've read the story sounds great and like this will *probably* be the best Bat film since The Dark Knight (and also a very different film from The Dark Knight....if The Dark Knight was the HEAT of superhero flicks, this is probably more so the ZODIAC/Chinatown of superhero films).

Just purchased my tickets for March 3. Pretty damn excited. Reviews drop in 12 days.

45 days after its theatrical debut

It’s already been reported he’s a minor character. He won’t be s as one scene wonder though. The trailers alone have him alone in his suite, he’s at whatever funeral Bruce, Selina and Carmine are at, plus the two scenes we know he’s in with Batman where Batman beats up his goons and the car chase.

He’s also getting an HBO max series. So we’ll get more of him.

And I’m ok with them saving him as a side/reoccurring character.

Reeves stated in an interview that he thinks there’s a very grounded and interesting way to bring Mr. Freeze to film, while Pattinson wants Court of Owls and Calendar Man. Court of Owls certainty fits into the detective/secrets of Gotham uncovered vibes. Though Idk how they handle the zombie assassin thing.

I think I watched part of season 1 of Gotham and just couldn’t get into it

I was enjoying it but then my cable box died and I lost a bunch of recordings and never watched it again.. must have been season 3 maybe...

You can get the entire series on Hulu, I think, no DVR needed

It was a very uneven show.

Gotham was great for the first season. By the third season it was a clusterfuck.
