AEW tag title match was pretty good although never really felt like it hit that next gear needed.

Opening tag match between MJF & Wardlow vs. Jurassic Express ended up being my favorite of the night.

Night 1 was very enjoyable overall. First hour flew by fast and only real sour point was the ending to Cody vs. Hager.

I also felt the opener was the best of the night but the whole show was v good overall.

Tonight might have been the best wrestling night ever in terms of dogs.

Have AEW really resorted to shamelessly promoting dogs? Hahaha, they’re in worse shape than I thought. Wrestling probably needs to die right about now. It’s a quality of life thing.

did anyone else hear the exchange between schiavone and excalibur early in the main event? a little creepy given the timing, also the fact that Excalibur wears a mask without eyeholes

Private Party is extra spotty in a tag division that’s really spotty.

I still think they should pick up the ascension. They had good matches with smaller, fast paced teams in nxt, so they’ll do well there. And AEW could use more in ring variety in its
tag division

That exchange did stand out to me. There was something else from JR that I picked up too that felt a little off centre.

I get that he probably wouldn't play well with others, but I wish Jim Cornett would be brought in by Tony Khan as some kind of advisor. The guy is still such a great wrestling mind and I really think they need to mitigate a lot of the indy-rific stuff they do. Seems like they do a lot of hotshotting and workrate stuff to no avail.

Not that I support Noid's fuddy Duddy rain-on-parade act. But I want AEW to improve so it can become an actual entity.
