Goldberg has lost to Lesnar, Taker, Braun and Drew, which are a majority of his most recent matches. Let’s not pretend that there’s still a mystique to him. There isn’t. It’s a 5 minute match spammed with spears before Lashley kicks out of the jackhammer and puts Goldberg away and nobody will care and Lashley didn’t gain much if anything beating a guy who’s lost his last 2 big matches.

If Big E wins the mitb, he’s a good choice for Lashley at summer slam. And it’s a fresh match with guys who we haven’t seen much if at all in the main event.

Big E vs Lashley is appropriate for a B PPV not Summerslam. Goldberg has more star power in his pinky compared to most of the roster.

From "we want Becky" to "this is awesome" chants. These two women are putting on a clinic. This is an excellent match.

This has turned into the match of the night so far and I credit it all to Charlotte

I think Charlotte just got Million Dollar Babied.

You can’t create new stars booking pushing guys nearing 60 who can’t go anymore and have lost 4 of their last 6 matches and their last two title matches. Beating Goldberg does nothing for Lashley. Pushing Big E, even if he loses, and making him look close, possibly setting him up for a title win down the line and creating fan support behind it, does way more.

Goldberg brings nothing to the table at this point. He’s better off aaa a one off on TV destroying a jobber in a segment. He shouldn’t be anywhere near s as headline match. If you’re gonna use older stars from yesteryear, go with more recent olds, like Edge and Cena.

Lashley vs Goldberg is far more marketable than Lashley vs Big E. Nobody cares about Big E's perceived potential. Perceived potential doesn't sell tickets.

Goldberg is a zero unless he’s gonna put over Riddle, because, unlike giving a guy coming of back to back title losses another match for no reason, a Riddle v Goldberg Match actually makes sense.
