Kip Sabian makes me want to change the channel. I was quite into the womans division 3-4 weeks ago, now I couldnt care less tbh. This whole angle going on there seems weird and convoluted. Hayter got so over just smashing people, it wasnt a hard story to continue.

Feel like most Dynamites this year have had a similar vibe to them. Personally I've really dug most of what I've been seeing as far as in-ring stuff. But they don't exactly have me excited for Revolution. It's still a step up from the Full Gear build which was objectively bad. But a lot of the stuff on Dynamite seems just....there.

Khan obviously writes his PPV cards out months in advance and that's fine, but he really seems to struggle with stringing the stories from one PPV to the next in a cohesive way.

The PPV itself I have no doubt will be good. Really enjoyed all of AEW's PPVs and until they have a clunker I don't see myself not ordering them. I sense a pretty good chunk of the fanbase is in a similar boat. But that doesn't mean Khan should rely on a choppy build every time.

Even Danielson vs. MJF, I've loved seeing Danielson have banger after banger as part of this gauntlet. But it's like the 4th or 5th time MJF's run this gauntlet gimmick.

Usually the gauntlet results in the face getting their comeuppance over MJF. But you already know it's not gonna happen here, and there will be an hour long match before we reach that inevitable conclusion.

I don't know what's actually happening with MJF's deal. I know some people think he quietly signed an extension and is now just playing up the bidding war of 2024 for angle purposes. But whether he's leaving or not is pretty moot as far as this angle goes. "I'm leaving with the title in 2024" is very much a talking point in his current reign.

For that reason, it's tough to imagine him losing the belt until we get closer to the end of the year. So no matter who he's programming with for Double or Nothing or All Out, they're gonna have a tough time getting people to suspend disbelief that he'll actually drop the strap any earlier. Fall is probably the earliest it would feel remotely believable.

I watched it again today and felt better about it but it was still an average show by AEW standards.

I am too hoping the "Im leaving with the belt in 2024" MJF angle comes at us post this feud. Maybe its too early but he could start dropping hints and get a few people antsy.

Would be very cool to see him win a match to retain the title heading into his "contract expiry" and disappear. I loved the CM Punk leaves and return with the belt angle but play it out over a longer period.
