The Icon of Elisim 12-17-2004 08:16 PM

Well I'm glad to see Carter go and I like what Aaron Williams brings to the team and Alonzo will be nice too. Hopefully those first rounders pan out.

The Miz 12-17-2004 09:13 PM

The Nets are retarded. Vince Carter is like the Michael Vick of basketball (flashy player who has highlight real plays and is the man in video games but isn't really that good) except Michael Vick doesn't suck dick.

The Icon of Elisim 12-17-2004 10:46 PM

All these analysits are coming out and saying that the Nets are gonna be able to run like nobodies business with Carter, Jefferson and Kidd. I don't know what Raptors games these guys have been watching.

The more I look at this move the stupider the Nets look. The trade two big guys for a wussy version of RJ on a good day.

And the draft picks belong to Philli and Denver so they probably won't be very high.

Crimson 12-18-2004 12:13 AM

The picks are lottery protected i think. I don't think the Nets upgraded that much, they will get killed in the middle against any team with an avarage center, good luck against Shaq . And the experts say they will be a run n' gun like the Suns or Sonics, except ..the Nets don't have ANYONE besides the big 3 and the Suns have like 8 deep that can go on a rampage.

BCWWF 12-18-2004 01:47 PM

Now the talk is that Alonzo is going to either be bought up and resigned by Miami as a FA or else involved in some sort or trade with Miami.

I don't really understand that logic, they already have Shaq and Alonzo is much better then a backup to Shaq. I bet if they make him a FA both the Wolves and the Spurs go after him, as both teams could use the center help.

Loose Cannon 12-21-2004 12:58 AM

22-3

Can the Suns actually win it? I think so

Past 3 years

"lol, you like the Suns?"

who's making fun of me now?

BCWWF 12-21-2004 02:38 AM

I am. They won't be able to beat the Spurs or Wolves in the playoffs.

The Outlaw 12-21-2004 03:19 AM

22-3 says they can

nah I dunno. They are playing well right now but now isnt the playoffs

Kid Robb 12-21-2004 03:45 AM

I don't want to overstate anything or make any rash predictions of anything, but i will say this:

The Bulls are the greatest team in the history of the world, at any sport, ever.

Winning 4 in a row is almost as big of an achievement as winning 72 in 96 :D

All is forgiven Eddy Curry

BCWWF 12-21-2004 12:36 PM

I just don't think Amare can win 4 games against Tim Duncan.

Loose Cannon 12-25-2004 02:05 PM

anybody watching Pistons/Pacers? Just turned it on. Looks like a good one.

Also, :y: :y: to Pacers rocking them throwbacks.

BCWWF 12-25-2004 03:48 PM

I watched the end, neither team was looking very good if you ask me. Also, I don't get why Larry Brown was so sickened be the game being broadcasted nationally.

BCWWF 01-08-2005 05:46 PM

OK, so apparantly the Knicks are still interested in Wally Szczerbiak and the New York media is reporting that talks are in the works. Not saying I wouldn't take Kurt Thomas in an instant, but the Knicks and their media is just retarded. Of course they would be interested in Wally, he is playing great right now, but that doesn't mean he is going to be traded.

Then I can't understand the Knicks logic in even looking into a move like this.

A. Kurt Thomas has been playing really well this season

B. They already have plenty of good swingmen, Wally would just get cluttered

C. The Knicks have a huge payroll that doesn't even begin to go down until 2006, why trade a moderately priced good center for an overpriced above average winger?

Sprewell is going to be the T-Wolf that is traded, I guarantee it. He is by far the worst of all the spotlight guys, the cancer of the team. Add that to him having an expiring contract, just like Rasheed last year a team like Atlanta will take him for cap room next season. It would actually make a lot of sense for the Knicks to take Sprewell and clear up some cap room for next season, not to mention his boner for New York, but I doubt that happens.

What is best for the Wolves, in my opinion, is just to dish Spree off to a team like Atlanta that is looking for cap room, and then just get a draft pick and a piece of shit in return. The Wolves can't try to get equal value for Spree unless its a center, because we are way too cluttered in the GF positions.

It should be like this
PG Cassell
SG Wally
SF Hassell
PF KG
C Ervin J

1. Eddie Griffin
2. Troy Hudson
3. Kandi
4. The Mayor
5. Madsen
6. Anthony Carter

off the bench, it is too cluttered as it is, getting a DP for Spree is plenty. If we could somehow package Kandi and get a real center back it would be amazing, but if not we could work with him.

BCWWF 01-08-2005 05:49 PM

BTW, Eddie Griffin = 6th Man of Year

The Miz 01-10-2005 08:22 PM

Kings get:
G Cuttino Mobley

Magic get:
G Doug Christie

wtf I don't get this trade at all

BCWWF 01-10-2005 08:27 PM

Dunno its hard to say...Mobley is a really good player but is playing ass this year, I take it the Kings are looking for offense to make up for Peja's drop and Bobby Jacksons injury, and just hoping that Mobley goes back to last years form. It's kind of like a trade of underachieving guards. I don't know much about Orlando but apparantly they want a defensive stopper instead of a three point threat. We'll see what happens.

Crimson 01-10-2005 09:47 PM

GO SONICS

After dusting off their old triangle offense in a win over Houston on Friday, the Lakers are going back to the offense that earned them three championships under former coach Phil Jackson, the Los Angeles Times reports. "If people think I didn't like the triangle, that's a misconception," Bryant told the Times. "I love the offense."

Kobe's got a bit of John Kerry in him, in that his tune changes rather conveniently. The Lakers are hoping the triangle will prevent teams from focusing exclusively on Kobe, and we can certainly envision Lamar Odom thriving in a Scottie Pippen-like role. We'll keep an eye on how the two fantasy stalwarts fare in the new scheme, starting tonight at Minnesota.

Yes, Lamarrrr scored a whole what, 5 points?

BCWWF 01-11-2005 02:45 PM

:?:

They came back from a 16 point deficit to beat Minnesota last night, Kobe had 32 points on 19 shots and Chris Mihm had a big double double. They are obviously doing something right.

The Icon of Elisim 01-11-2005 04:42 PM

Or the Wolves suck

The Outlaw 01-11-2005 07:38 PM

Why exactly are you confused?

lol@tioe

BCWWF 01-11-2005 07:41 PM

Well you are apparently laughing at this decision by the Lakers despite them coming away with a pretty convincing win the first night they used it. Isn't that reason to be confused? Or are you just looking at the smaller picture of Lamar? I look at the big picture which is the W. Don't mess with Mihm.

The Outlaw 01-11-2005 07:50 PM

lol

I was referring to Lamar's increased performance. They predicted him to thrive in the triangle. Obviously, he didn't. He needs to, seeing as how I have him in fantasy basketball.

Also, I was also just posting it to get a laugh out of the John Kerry reference.

Well I would still make fun of you for liking them the last three years. I liked them back in the day, Barkley days.

The Suns are far and away the coolest team in the NBA right now. The Suns and the Spurs are far and away the best teams in the NBA right now.

I went to the Suns and Timberwolves game last week and I must say, Amare is awesome. He just looks badass and then throws down dunks like a badass. Then Marion is a stud with his goofy release and three point accuracy. Steve Nash is awesome in this new system, by far the most fun team to watch in the NBA.

I hate the Spurs, and even though they don't have the record you could make a case that they are the best in the NBA right now. They have a good coach and a really strong core of players. Besides Rasho, they have a really good starting lineup, but Rasho doesn't really hurt them that much. They aren't fun or cool to watch, and their players have little to no charisma, but they are such a solid fundamental team and so good on defense that I could see them stopping Phoenix in the Western Finals.

The Suns have the perfect system for the players they have. Amare can throw it down. Nash drives, grabs the double team, and then he has three great guys from beyond the arc (thats not counting Barbosa either). I guess im going on and on, but the Suns are sweet.

The Icon of Elisim 01-12-2005 04:22 PM

BCWWF, just for the record I am rubber and you are glue. All of your bad reps bounce off of me and stick to you

See I can be childish too

BCWWF 01-12-2005 04:39 PM

You're just an idiot that adds nothing to threads, I don't give out negative reps because I personally don't like you, I give out negative reps when somebody makes a bastard comment that adds nothing to the discussion. So I don't really care.

BCWWF 01-12-2005 04:58 PM

Now that the Jason Kidd rumors have kind of been turned off, the word now is that there may be a Latrell Sprewell for Baron Davis type trade in the works.

I know you are but what am I?

Loose Cannon 01-21-2005 10:46 AM

Mavericks/Bobcats TONIGHT FOR ME.

Man, this cheap ticket stuff is great. $15 a game. Decent seats. Coming from NY, it's like

BCWWF 01-21-2005 12:53 PM

Do they have a new arena or is it the same that the Hornets played in?

Loose Cannon 01-21-2005 01:11 PM

yea, same one. But they're building a new one across the street or some shit. lol

Gonna have a lot more luxury sweets.

Bigg Mike 01-21-2005 01:13 PM

15 dollars?!?! That's sweet, I wish Knicks tickets were that cheap.

BCWWF 01-21-2005 01:31 PM

The cheapest Wolves tickets are $22 I think, and that is upper deck in the corners. I wish you could get decent lower level tickets for less then like $60, it seems like the only way you can get a ticket to a Wolves game is if somebody's Dad has company tickets or something.

yea, saw the Knicks in DEC and again I'm going in March.

So I still get to see the Knicks, just fo $15 now. :)

BCWWF 01-21-2005 07:24 PM

Damn, I kind of want to stay in tonight. Spurs vs. Suns (w/ Nash back) on ESPN @ like 9:30 or something. That could be a great game.

BCWWF 01-22-2005 12:27 AM

The Suns

They are so fucking good! They are up be like 12 in the third right now. Steve Nash is soooo good, I now believe that he should be the MVP. Look at how he changes this team. Franchise record start, he goes out four games and they lose them all, he comes back and now they are dominating the best team in the NBA.

Marion  He is so amazing. He has had the last 15 points or something for the Suns, and he is on my fantasy team cleaning up shop. Q just hit another three, these guys just don't stop! Amare is a stud too. You have to love the Suns, there is no team in basketball more fun to watch. They have the Spurs completely off their game right now, the SPURS! The most disciplined team in the league.

I  the Suns

Sucks that they lost and all.

BCWWF 01-22-2005 03:07 AM

I know, but you can't ask for much more from Steve Nash his first night back from an injury. If they meet in the playoffs it will be the best basketball we have seen in years.
