I've lost count now...how many times is that?

I just turned on SpikeTV; I like the fact that the "Hey you wake up"
John Henson commercial airs during RAW; it's quite fitting..... |
Goldberg is getting beasted

i bet Kane comes down and wins the battle royal after killing Spike
*marks out from RVD's 5 star on Goldberg* |

ugh, I hope goldberg doesn't win the rumble.
|
That kind of sucks cause Goldberg's music is great music for the Rumble. Your sitting there and you don't know who is next and Goldberg's music hits and your like OH shit. But now it ruins the suprise.
|
so now goldberg will only be in the rumble for 5-15 minutes tops

Decent Raw... Little disappointed with the end.
On the bright side... winning the number 30 position more than likely means that Goldberg will NOT be winning the Rumble. If memory serves me correctly a number 30 entrant never has. Raw did it's job tonight... it hyped the Royal Rumble. If Taker and Foley both return, a decent guy wins the Rumble, and HBK wins the world Title I'll be extremely pleased. Not to mention Eddie vs Chavo. |

who here has broken down and brought final fantasy x-2?

My roommate has it. I haven't played it. After VII, I kinda lost interest in the series. FFVII was about as close to perfect as an RPG could get, IMO, so everything after's been a bit of a disappointment.

Good show tonight.
I liked how they played up the importance of the Rumble and of course the #30 spot. As for Goldberg winning, well that was pretty smart. The crowd loved him tonight, so he looks strong going into the Rumble. Of course now it seals his fate that he wont win the match, but if they ask I can send them an e-mail on how to keep Goldy strong and sell his match against Lesnar for Mania, and at the same time have Benoit win the match. I loved how they booked Orton tonight, they're really trying to make him look like a top guy, and he's showing more skills every week. People may complain about Hurricane getting burried, but guess what? Thats what has to happen if you want to make new stars. I liked that Orton just basically squashed Hurricane, because to have him go 50-50 with Helms for 7 minutes would do nothing for Orton's push. Finally some sanity in the booking. Austin's spot was smart as well. They had to tell the fans that Foley will be at the Rumble in order to help the buyrate. I'm not sure they went far enough, but at least the idea was dropped in the fans' minds. I would expect Foley will do a run in and cost Randy the Rumble match. JEricho-Christian-Trish stuff was really good tonight. "My stank smells good", thats some funny stuff. Lita-Jazz was weak, and I was sad there was no Teddy Long promos. Its nice that the World Champ is too busy to show up on TV to promote his main event match on the 2nd biggest show of the year. That said, the video piece on their history was well done, although they left out the part where HBK won the title from him, and then HHH got it back a month later in a terrible match. Guess that never happened. As for Taker returning at the Rumble, I dont think it will happen. As many people here have mentioned, they should do something indicating the old Deadman Taker will return. Basically have Kane in the ring being dominant, then we hear some bells toll, maybe the purple light some lthunder noices, and Taker's old music should be good enough. That would freak out Kane, and cause him to be eliminated maybe even by Spike. |
has number 30 ever win the rumble?
|
Nope.
|
The worst part about Raw was all the FFX2... If I hear that song one more time, I swear to god I'm going to buy a copy just so I can burn it!
And when I say burn, I don't mean I'm going to take all the info from the game disk and put it on a blank CDR so I can enjoy it while costing Square Enix money. I mean light the damn thing on fire. |

That promo between Molly and Trish, did they cut that off? It didn't make no sense at all.
And what wsa the sense of having Spike win if he didn't end up going to the tournament? That was lousy. Other than that, good RAW. Those FFX2 commercials need to die. |
I knew Goldie had to win. I predicted it ummmmm sometime durin his triple threat match. This predictin stuff stinks
|
I'm not totally sure what to think of Raw last night. On the one hand, Hurricane looked credible (Even though he lost), there were some great matches, and Rico planting a kiss on Baldy was HILARIOUS, there's the disappointment of Goldberg being #30, the afforementioned "Spike Wins only to not compete" angle, and other crap.
Oh yeah, the Christian/Trish thing was hilarious. Way to drive a wedge between them. |
They probably didn't want kane in it.....also they only showed 25 people in the RR promo so 5 more people can enter.
