Also the Titans cut Brad Hopkins, which increases the chance they will draft D'Brickshaw.

And I heard Abraham might go to Detroit seeing as how Donnie Henderson is there and all now, for a #9 pick

Being able to grab D'Brickshaw, and like Jay Cutler would be sick

Gonzo 03-02-2006 08:08 PM

Wow so many teams are going to be so different this year.

Roy and Milloy would be pretty hot. Milloy and Law should just go back to NE for pennies.

Ok well all the players who got cut yesterday aren't cut anymore, apparently. Tagliabue voided the moves or something as they moved the start of the season to 12:01 Monday instead of 12:01 today.

NerF I just read a report Abraham might go to Denver for their #29 pick, and then the Jets might ship the #4 and #29 to the Texans. No confirmation on that though.

Also stima that thing about McGinest is just speculation really but I've read a couple times he has a multi-million bonus or something due and he might be a cap casualty regardless of whether the CBA gets done or not. Unless he renegotiates.

Nervous Ferret 03-03-2006 02:48 AM

yeah heard something like that but if they get the #1 pick they are prob gunna take Leinhart, because they are retarded

According to the whole "draft pick values," that would be a horrible trade for Houston. NY would have to add another few picks on there, maybe a future 1ster or something.

But I just read that, due to the fucking Vikings lowballing Nate Burleson, he might be a Patriot next year. Him + Dillon + Wilfork = :wavesad: Vikings. :'(

Rams cut Isaac Bruce

Jesus Shuttlesworth 03-05-2006 11:57 PM

I don't really understand what is going on..Why are all these veterans getting cut because of this?

Mr. Monday Morning 03-06-2006 02:52 AM

If they don't extend the CBA the teams have about $10m less to work with than they would otherwise, basically. There's other factors but that's the main thing.

Supreme Olajuwon 03-06-2006 01:57 PM

Jon Kitna might go to the Jets.

Seahawks sign Alexander to an eight year deal. All is right with the world now. I love Alexander, but baby Jesus would cry if he went to another team (Carolina? *shudders*)

I wonder why it took them this damned long to do it. But I can sleep now.

On the other hand, I don't know whether to cry now when Seattle cuts some of their key guys (I'm GUESSING they'll have to, anyway. Don't really know the specifics of the deal offhand), or when the season starts.

Lavar Arrington decides to become free agent rather then stay with the Redskins.

Mr. Monday Morning 03-06-2006 04:01 PM

Mawae is almost certainly cut.

Kerry Collins was cut but is currently still with the Raiders until the CBA is sorted out.

Green Bay re-signed Ahman Green for 1 year

Derrick Brooks restructured his deal to stay in Tampa

Manning and Harrison restructured their deals and saved the Colts about $12m in cap space

Speculation here that St Louis might just re-sign Bruce to lower his cap hit this year

La'roi Glover signed with the Rams.

Looks like Junior Seau is cut.

So...how bout that CBA huh :shifty:

AlphaBean 03-07-2006 03:02 AM

Wonder if Vince Young can spell Wonderlick? Hmm...

Supreme Olajuwon 03-07-2006 03:32 AM

I wonder if AlphaBean can spell Wonderlic. Hmm...

el fregadero 03-07-2006 03:41 AM

I wonder if el fregadero knows what wonderlic is. Hmm...

Supreme Olajuwon 03-07-2006 03:46 AM

It's like an SAT for players in the draft. Some reports said Vince Young got a 6 the first time he took it. That's out of 50 mind you.

It's Wonderlick, damn it. "Wonderlic" makes absolutely NO SENSE!

Supreme Olajuwon 03-07-2006 12:13 PM

maybe that's what threw Vince off

Supreme Olajuwon 03-07-2006 12:31 PM

I don't want to sound racist here, but black QBs are morons according to the Wonderlic. Check the scores from the test since 1998 when I believe it started being a big thing for QBs in the draft to do:

1998: Charlie Batch 15
1999: Donovan McNabb 16, Anthony Wright 16, Aaron Brooks 17, Daunte Culpepper 15
2000: Tee Martin 11, Jarious Jackson 18
2001: Mike Vick 20
2002: David Garrard 14, Woodrow Dantzler 17, Antwaan Randle El 17, Rohan Davey 17
2003: Seneca Wallace 12, Brad Banks 13

This year Reggie McNeal, Brad Smith, and DJ Shockley all below 20 too.

Jesus Shuttlesworth 03-07-2006 01:08 PM

Reggie McNeal ran a 4.3...Why exactly is this guy playing QB?

Supreme Olajuwon 03-07-2006 01:10 PM

I'm sure he won't but he took the test anyway like Randle El, Wallace, and all those guys.

Jesus Shuttlesworth 03-07-2006 01:18 PM

Word.

This doesn't really have anything to do with McNeil, or your point but I thought Wallace was with the Seahawks as a QB?

Just heard on Coldpizza that the Vikings are trying to get Edgerin James

Supreme Olajuwon 03-07-2006 01:43 PM

He is but he plays WR too kinda like Rohan Davey. I just remember him making a sick catch in the playoffs this year as a wideout.

Jesus Shuttlesworth 03-07-2006 01:45 PM

Davey plays wideout now too? Haha the fuck, when he was on the Patriots he was like 260 pounds

Supreme Olajuwon 03-07-2006 02:27 PM

He was listed as WR/QB when he was on the Pats I guess he just never played.

BCWWF 03-07-2006 02:57 PM

Yeah, the Vikings have been the highest on Edgerin all along, even before Shawn Alexander was signed. I'm interested to see how the Vikings turn out, because if we do end up trading Duante we are going to need to make some other drastic moves as well.

On another note, Corey Chavous said he would like to stay in Minnesota now, but isn't sure if it will work out, because of age and all. Last season he wanted out when we got Sharper, so that's a good sign I guess.

AlphaBean 03-07-2006 03:51 PM

Edge is gonna be sick/clutch for us next year. I will be so pumped until he turns into Herschel Walker Redux

OssMan 03-07-2006 03:58 PM

Oh wow the Giants are gonna try to sign Arrington. Dammit
