That was a fucking sweet level, I loved that one

So yeah, Spring Mario is stupid, like stupid as in hard and challenging thus annoying. Just got the terrace at the very top now to beat. Got all the stars I can get up to the engine room, including hungry lumas and green star galaxy. Overall kind of sad knowing it will be ending soon, despite the fact plan to do it again with the secret character. But yeah, think I stand at 87 right now. Overall pretty fucking good game.

Yeah, I've got close to 80 Stars myself and have attempted the final battle with Bowser twice. It's a 3 stage battle and I think I've managed to hit him once. :-\

I like Matter Splatter galaxy but when you have to do the spring part while moving up is ridiculous.. Sometimes he just wont bounce..

I agree that the spring is fucking stupid. But yeah just beat the game, at 105 stars. Got to get the purple coin bullshit ones now. Also for the spring, Kris P just mentioned how he won't bounce. Is that a common problem, cause at first I thought my WiiMote was acting up cause was clearly holding A for him to spring up.

Just finished with the 120 stars with Mario and beat Bowser again. Good shit. Not sure if I'll play through it again with Luigi. PS the Purple Coins are pretty stupid. Like some levels were more fun than expected, but others were a fucking bitch. Especially one level where you have to swim in water and use the spring, which are my two least favorite things about this game. I have never seen a good land platform game that has water levels, none of those water levels have ever been enjoyable to me. Note, some Water games have been good, remember loving Little Mermaid for NES and beating it, might have been gay but whatever fags.

I have like 22 stars atm... all the ones possible for me to get except for the ones on battle rock.
At first I hated it but its growing on me like a growth.

You're not supposed to hold A to super jump in the spring suit. You have to time it right as you're touching the ground, you press A.

Unless that's what you're doing, so just ignore what I said :shifty:

It seems you're supposed to hit A right after you land on the ground but it doesn't work all the time..

Like for most part I don't have trouble with it. But during the up scrolling level where you had to keep jumping up, it was a super bitch to do. During then it just wouldn't react and that at times. Outside of that I didn't have problems with the spring recognizing my jumps really, but still hated the spring.

Exact same thing..

I haven't had any problems with it until the first star of Matter Splatter during the scroll up part..

How do you beat the final Bowser??

I can "survive" his first attacks but can't do any damage to him..

It's just like any other Bowser fight, *as he's rolling around you just have to hit him with your spin attack*

Yeah, like assume it is when he rocks up or whatever. Got to time it ride to give him a spin attack on the head. I'm sure there is an al snow joke somewhere in there, but a wrestling joke a wrestling forum is just to obvious.

So I spin attack him when he starts forming into to rock or while he is the rock??

When Bowser turns into the giant rock and starts rolling around, time your spin attack so you smack him in the face. He'll start spinning on his shell and you spin attack him again.

I beat the story modes of this and twilight princess yesterday. Dreadnought was a fun galaxy

I got to around 100 stars and didn't see anything left to do, so I went and beat the final Bowser and am now doing all the Purple Coin ones..

A few questions to those that have beaten it:

-why do I keep having to get the pink star guy to move them?? Like, if I beat one, there won't be anymore, so I have to pay dude 20 star bits and then there'll be like 5 of them..


-after beating the final board, can I not get the 5 extra men from the toadstool mailman??

-what is the "new" world I'll open by getting these last 15 stars??

I never had to pay anyone to move comets. Not sure about extra 5 guys, but pretty sure you still get them. Getting all 120 opens up the new world which is the game played as Luigi. I just started it two days ago, pretty easy run through but little harder playing with luigi in some areas.

It's weird, there will be no comets, so I go pay the guy and there'll be like five of them..

After all the purple ones you should have 120. Assuming you got all the hidden stars, and got the 3 green stars to unlock the green galaxy and thus get the 3 stars at that galaxy.

I know I skipped the Major Burrows Daredevil one, but I've gotten everything eles as far as I know (GreenStars included)..

I prolly skipped more than that (secret stars or comets) because I'm on like 106 and there's only like 4 or 5 more purple ones..

Well, just go back to the galaxies that don't have a crown and that should account for the rest.

I'm just gonna work my way through the purps and go from there..

Matter Splat was way easy, currently stuck on the dare devil comet for the dark boo rock boss thing.

Yeah, he's alot harder when you have to play him on Dare Devil..

Just keep moving.. When he gets his hands out allow several black boos to come out before you go in to hit him with them..

He's really not that hard once you figure that out..

Yeah, that was the only thing that got me. I agree the shit was mad easy though, but still hella fun. The only frustrating thing was that boss I think on Daredevil run, but even then it wasn't terribly bad. Only real challenge playing with Luigi is when you are like tight rope walking some shit where you don't have much room. Like when you are way up high and need to turn and all that jazz. Since you can't stop right away like with Mario it can be a challenge, well more of an annoyance than challenge.
