I have to agree. That Robin idea would be decent.

Robin - NO. Darkwing. YES. Have Dick Grayson play the Darkwing character, he could be inserted as a second vigilante in the city, however he is deemed the "Good One" to Batmans "Bad Guy" In the movie we could have The Riddler tormenting Batman, and like XL said the thing about Nigma visiting Nigma in prison.
I would change that, eventually Nigma helps The Joker escape played by Depp of course, who I think could pull off the voice, has the acting and undoubtingly could pull of the look.
This leads to the city being in a rather bad predicament seeing as the one person that could help they have cast out, Darkwing is contacted to find and bring down The Riddler, unknowingly to him or anyone for that matter at the moment, The Joker has escaped and is working with The Riddler. Darkwing succeeds in finding The Riddler who is at the top of an office tower. He is blindsided by The Joker with a crowbar, Joker has a Knife to his neck and back turned, all of a sudden the windows shatter and Batman grabs The Riddler and drops him off the building (You see him being dropped, you dont however see that there is a rope around his ankle until later) This leads to a confrontation with the Joker, he is playing his manipulative card then all of a sudden, he pulls a mask out and puts it on. Batman asks in his voice "whats the mask for"
The Joker replies in a raspy voice "Nightmares..." enter huge serum bomb and Scarecrow
There you have a fight people.
