I am sick of fucking bland colours too. Gonna trade this in for Toy Story 3 and give Verbose Minch a shot at being right.

Ive been hearing good things about TS3 from people other than Minch, too. I'm tempted to pick it up, really.

Yeah, that's more or less the part that got to me. I'm not like, a huge transformers fan, but it looked like people were right when they pegged it at Gears of Cybertron.

It seems to me like a good TF game would rock. But reskinning a shooter doesn't seem like the right approach. I still kinda want it, because it's giant robots shooting each other, but I'm definitely waiting for the price to come down.

Then I can dominate you in multiplayer and brag to TPWW how I'm the best shooter EVAR.

I think I'm like 5h in line for this. Might pick it up in a few weeks.

This one of the better shooters this year, trust me. Best TDMs I had in a while and that's not even playing with friends. If not for Reach this would be sci-fi shooter of the year (all those GoW comparisons and as it turns out it kills GoW).

It's not bad - it's not that much of a Gears clone (no cover system, for starters) but it doesn't feel that unique, the limited use of the transforming aside.

Fairly middling, all in all.

I enjoyed the single player so far, still have to finish it.

It's got an overall score of 79.5 on Gamerankings.

The reviews I've seen make me think this is definitely a game I'm getting, but maybe when I can get it used or on the cheap. BDC might want it quicker, based on the increased nostalgia/fanboy deal. Or not, since you haven't finished RDR yet.

Going off all the bashing it got in here I figured it would be getting terrible reviews compared to what it is getting.

Dude, we're gonna tear it up. Later today I should be on and we can get some games going. Me, Khuntry, and two other guys were unstoppable last night and if we get a full team of five it will be glorious. You just missed the Double XP weekend so the grind will be a bit longer for you, but it's gonna be a blast.

Also, I haven't touched the campaign yet and you just volunteered to help me clear the Decepticon campaign so I can get that female Seeker skin.

Just completed the campaign of this. Was quite fun, a bit repetitive but overall I did enjoy it. The credits were great too.

Talk of repetition in this game (or any game) always seemed odd to me. Did people not expect to shoot robots all day?

For me it was more to do with environments in the game being repetitive rather then the gameplay as such. I don't think the game is bad because of it and really I think because of the setting it was hard to avoid but it did seem like the bulk was just running along and through really dark and grey looking areas. Like I said the setting being Cybertron it was probably hard to avoid because you probably couldn't just throw in a forest or underwater level just for the sake of it.

I hear Deathsmiles is a good title. is it worth it if you're not a pedophile?

Perhaps in the (most likely Earth-bound) sequel we'll play as water- and animal-based TFs that could play in just those areas.
