A judge has overtuned Adrian Peterson's suspension and he will now be reinstated.
Feel like the NFL loses almost every single time a player appeals a suspension. |
Lions release Reggie Bush... the smart move. Riddick/Joique should be a solid enough 1-2 punch at RB
Adrian Peterson sweepstakes?
Would be surprised if Dallas didn't make a play for him

I don't think it's the right move or whatever, but JJ has had a hard-on for him and there's been speculation for years about him going there. This is the first time he's ever really been available, and probably at a discounted rate to boot
Didn't he say not too long ago that he wanted to play there?
LeSean McCoy traded to Buffalo for Kiko Alonso
I don't know what this means.
McCoy must have wanted out. Chip Kelly probably feels no one is irreplaceable.
I was hoping he would be involved in a trade to move up in the draft.
Not sure about a LB coming off a serious injury. |
Are you ok?
I knew he wasn't playing this year for Eagles.
I don't know what the plan is here. I was hoping the Raiders or some dumb team would take him in a trade for a high draft pick. I'm not sure. |
You got Kiko!
Torn ACL though.
Drew Rosenhaus says the trade hasn't been finalized. I bet it has. |
holy shit, did not see that trade coming
So glad McCoy is gone. Always killed the Giants.
Of course the Giants play the Bills next year anyway but whatever. |
Nice.
I liked Kiko, but no way to know how he's going to bounce back from that ACL injury.
McCoy is trending down.
Makes the Bills a better team with the trade. But new coaching staff is another issue.
Wow. I hadn't heard about any McCoy issues with Philly so this is fucking bizarre.
Sad that the Spiller/Jackson era in Buffalo is officially over. Always really enjoyed them as a RB tandem.
Quote:
Rex Ryan will do wonders with that team |
Quote:
Feel like Rex Ryan might go on a rampage with that team. Once the QB issue is settled for good, the Bills should be solid.
EJ isn't great, but he's young, and he has potential. On the fence about him.
Things are definitely looking up for us though, and thank fuck for that, because the Sabres are disgustingly horrible, and probably will be for a long time.
I don't know about EJ yet either. Feel like it's a bad sign when Kyle Orton rolls off of his couch to play QB and is more successful than the starter
I do like to imagine Kyle Orton semi-permanently melded to his sofa surrounded by Doritos and Pizzarolls, then he gets a phone call to start for the Bills. He's like "ugh, fine."
You can see the talent when things click for him though. I think he just needs more confidence. He needs to steel himself better because he's hesitant at times, and that's when he makes mistakes. If he could be more committed to the actions he takes on the field, I think he'll be more successful.
But that's a big if. |
Chip is trying to make the Philadelphia Ducks. I think 8 of their current 53 roster went to oregon.
What would you expect? You don't bring a coach like Kelly in then not cater to what he brings to the table.

The more I think about the Shady/Alonso trade, the more I like it. I think this could be one of those rare trades that works out for everybody. The Eagles got to free up a lot of cap space and get a dude with tremendous future upside while the Bills get an RB that is at the top of his game right now. Greg Roman is going to do wonders for that offense with Shady at the helm and it makes their QB problem not as detrimental. Bills gotta pay but they are willing to pay and for them at this moment, it is a good allocation of funds. Eagles will use that money that they are saving to patch up holes in their defense and even if Alonso doesn't work out, the money is important to them right now. i'm willing to bet Alonso woll make an impact once he's healthy though. And the Bills don't really lose all that much by giving Alonso up because their defense is fucking beastly and will probably continue to be lights out due to the presence of Rex Ryan.
I like it. NFL needs more trades. |
Whispers of the Bills signing David Harris now too. Ryan means business.
Peyton Manning is gonna take a $4 mil. pay cut so the Broncos can do some damage in the free agent market.
I tip my hat to you, sir. |
Well shit, guess I don't have to worry about EJ. Ryan is making some fucking moves.

 |
Is... Is that a Bobby Hoying jersey? lol
Haven't watched video yet, but that's a real fan to own a Hoying jersey.
Darnell Dockett to the 49ers. Love stealing players from the west. Always feels double satisfying.
Pats didn't pick up Vince Wilforks option....damn it
Could still sign him to a new smaller deal since the biggest issue was cap space and them owing $8 million had they picked up the option. All depends on how much demand there is for him in free agency and those teams being good.
Wish the New York papers would stop talking about the Giants being interested in bringing in Suh. Of course they are. Who wouldn't be? I'd be ecstatic. But it'd require him to take less than he could get elsewhere and that doesn't sound too likely.
He's basically said his agent will be picking his new team. Aka whoever offers the most money. Oakland and Jacksonville have the most cap room with Indy close behind after that. |
He is coming to Indy baby! Can't wait.
Mojo Drew retires after 9 seasons.

Then again, rebranding the IN-VINCE-ABLE sub and pizza should be a pain the ass now. |
Panda-mania Pizza and Sub Deal.
Reggie Wayne gone from Indy. Man. That's pretty weird to think about. It's over. It's all over.
Brandon Marshall to the Jets. This is all insanity.
JESUS CHRIST NFL HOT STOVE
RIP Marshall's career
Why would they do that to Wayne! He was still productive :( RIP Reggie Wayne. Wished the Colts would have kept him for 1 more year. Really hope he just retires because I would hate seeing him in a other team's uniform.
Why do the Jets even want Marshall? They don't have a quarterback to throw him the ball.
According to the Miami Herald, Dolphins are making a serious push to get Ndamukong Suh with them clearing a lot of cap space to give Suh his mega contract (6 years, $102 million).
Jed York was asked about the 49ers signing thrice-arrested Jerome Simpson. He said "You have to ask Trent (Baalke). I don't know what the thinking was."
Gotta love the synergy. |
They will probably draft one.
There's an Eagles/Bucs trade rumor being floated about online. It's almost certainly not going to happen and was probably just started by some random guy but it still makes me chuckle:
Eagles get: #1 pick in 2015 draft, Mike Evans Bucs get: Nick Foles, Eagles 1st-3rd round picks this year and next year, AND their 2017 1st-2nd I wouldn't even care about the Eagles getting Evans (who is amazing), it would be such a comical overpay. They'd be crippled for years. |
I'm tired of Chip Kelly and his scheming bullshit. Manipulating the general manager to try to get all of these Oregon players. This is the NFL Chip. Now fuck off and get with the program or fuck off. Fat piece of no good shit always thinking he knows best. "I want to run an up-tempo offense and be faster than everybody. Well as you can see that shit doesn't work. Tired of this egotistical asshole. I hope he gets Mariota so he can bust in his face.
How dare he try to get players that know his offense.

I've been cheating on the 9ers in the offseason with the Bills. Been listening to the "bills and Beers" podcast a ton. Really good show. Tomsula seems more like a motivator than an "X's and O's" guy but I still have faith there can be winning system there. Looking a bit bleak wih all these management issues. |

Brandon Marshall to the Jets.
The Eric Decker signing last year just became moot. |
Quote:
And Chip Kelly's offense has been working. Much better than anybody thought it would.
Quote:
Hasn't got to the playoffs so your statement about it working is invalid
No it isn't, they've been in the mix ever since Chip got there.
How are they going to be in the mix without LeSean McCoy? They got rid of their most valuable player for jack shit.
Maybe they have a RB in mind that they will be getting in the off season? Maybe a huge pitch to Murray?
Could gamble on Reggie Bush being healthy too.
Reggie Bush would fit well with that offense, I think.
Isn't this draft gonna be "RB-heavy," though?
Eagles made the playoffs last year 2013-2014 season.
Also Lesean McCoy is on the downside, and he wasn't going to be on the Eagles next year anyway. I was hoping a dumb team like the Raiders would take him and something else for 1st round pick, but o well. |
Raiders have Latavius Murray that they are hoping to be their lead back.
Marshawn Lynch agreed to a 3 year contract extension with the Seahawks. Got a $5 million raise for next season, options for the final 2 years, and worth $31 million overall.
Quote:
Kiko Alonso is a very good, young LB making a ridiculously low salary (~$900k) |
Actually it's a 2 year extension
Randall Cobb re-ups with the Packers for 4 years, $40 million. The Raiders were expected to pay him a lot more on the open market, so it's clear he wanted to stay somewhere where he actually has a chance at winning a Super Bowl.
Who cares? Cobb is overrated
Suh to the Dolphins. 6 years, $114 million. $60 million guaranteed. Holy shit, that's QB money right there.
One if the terms must be to kill Brady.
I don't ever understand the logic behind teams crippling themselves for one good non-QB player.
With all the moves the Bills have made, Suh to the Dolphins, Marshall to the Jets (assuming they get a QB), I'd like to think the AFC East will be interesting next year...
...and yet, I can't help but just assume the Pats will win it anyway. Just like they always do. |
Well yeah , cuz Brady > any qb in that division.
And Belichick > any coach in that division. |
When was the last time the Pats lost the division? To Miami the year Brady was hurt? Even though they still won like 11 games that year.
Loved Miami when they were using the wild cat formation. |
Eagles looking at Frank Gore. What in the hell. It somewhat makes sense because you get a 1000 yard rusher for less than McCoy but it all seems odd. Also was hoping Gore would stay in SF until his limbs fall off.
The Lions' final offer to Suh was $17 million a year, $58 million guaranteed. Miami's was $19 million a year, $60 million guaranteed.
No hometown discount for Detroit. Although Florida having no income tax means Suh's take home pay will be that much larger. |
Can't really see Gore in the Eagles offense as the primary back. Do the Eagles still have Sproles? Maybe Gore will be grind and pound back used every now and then.
Cardinals are doing what I would have done: Going after Pernell McPhee and Sean Weatherspoon :y:
Quote:
I've been a Suh apologist since day 1, but he's always played the "doesn't want to leave Detroit" card. They offered him pretty much the exact same deal and he bolted as fast as he could. Fuck that guy. |

Had Miami done some tweaks or changes, the Wild Cat might have lasted longer than half a season before being broken. Lucked out in 2008 it didn't start to cost them games but had no luck in 2009. |
Bills lock up LeSean McCoy. 5-years, $40 mil. $26.5 guaranteed.
In other runningback news, Chris Johnson is in stable condition after taking a bullet to the shoulder in a drive-by shooting this morning in Orlando.
Some Ravens bloggers think they might be able to trade Nagata to the Eagles since he's a former Duck and a conteact extension doesn't look promising.
Also Torrey Smith might be gone and I'm trying to figure out who Flacco is supposed to be throwing to |
Gore to the Eagles is finalized as is Byron Maxwell to the Eagles for about 5 years, $50 million.
Jesus. Free agents can't even officially sign until Tuesday at 4, but nobody is fucking around with agreeing to deals. |
