Having Finkel for the main event was nice.

Finally caught upto the latest NXT episode and this was a fantastic episode.

Emma is sooo much hotter than Paige

Would have disagreed, but Emma was looking ridiculously hot on the last NXT dancing around Natalya. No idea why.

She's automatically better looking because she's not a Brit and thus her teeth don't look like a grenade went off inside her mouth.

Loved this week's edition of NXT. A fantastically booked wrestling show. I'm really excited to see the upcoming Adrian Neville vs. Tyler Breeze match/feud.

I love how they've made us wait for Paige vs. Emma.

I'm still hopeful for a Paige vs. Stephanie McMahon feud, with Steph throwing all these wrenches into Paige's chase of the Divas Championship.

Apparently Billy Gunn wrestled Bo Dallas at the latest NXT show. Amazing.

I'd really like to see an NXT Money in the Bank Ladder Match. Sami Zayn vs. Adrian Neville vs. Corey Graves vs. Antonio Cesaro vs. Leo Kruger vs. Tyler Breeze vs. Kalisto vs. Solomon Crowe. Sami Zayn looks like he is about to win, but the lights go out, due to Crowe's rigging of the event, and then Crowe capitalizes to win the match and earn a title shot.

Random idea to debut Kalisto:

Have a tournament of masked competitors. El Local can compete and Tyson Kidd can bust out his masked persona. You can bring in indie works and put them in masks, or you can just slap one of Davey Richards and have him go out there as "Dynamite." Kalisto can be the decisive winner of the tournament and become the new masked icon of NXT. It creates a back-story for him when he gets called up to the main roster too. He's not just a masked guy who showed up, but was the best unsigned masked competitor in the world. Gives him a reason to go after guys like Sin Cara and Rey Mysterio too.

Or they can just have him come in, hype him as the "King of Flight" and he can win a lot of matches and get really over.

<font color=goldenrod>Derek Billington isn't the best name but it's certainly better than "Eric Philbin" as the ring announcer called him.</font>

Billington is obviously a tribute to the Dynamite Kid and just something that they pulled out of their asses for that one match. They'll probably get completely different terrible names when they get signed.

Cesaro is a beast. Seriously.

Cesaro's work in NXT this year has been all shades of brilliant.

Good god that Cesaro/Regal match was brilliant. I also loved that Zayne/Cesaro was NXT MOTY and very likely WWE MOTY as well.

Next week's Zayne/Kruger 2 out of 3 falls should also be epic. I heard Kruger got rebranded after this match though :'(

Regal looked to be in decent shape.

I had never seen Regal do kip ups before.

I'm hoping that was just a "training exercise". Doing another gimmick on a house show for a one-shot kinda deal.

<font color=goldenrod>Regal's promo was superb. There's just something about the way he carries himself that makes you want to believe everything he says - and his whole "old villain" persona is perfect at this stage in his career. The fact that he's doing what so few wrestlers in North America do and actually aging gracefully is wonderful; he's turning the fact that he's past his prime and not in the best shape into an integral part of his character, rather than trying to pretend that he's as good as he always was. That said, he's still ten times better than half the regular roster anyway.

The match itself, wow. Maybe the best match I've seen all year. It was exactly what I want from a wrestling match - a good mix of styles, two very complimentary performers, some innovative spots mixed in with solid technical wrestling - and real technical wrestling, not indie-fied "hold/counter-hold/applause spot" choreographed bullshit, but dirty, sloppy grappling, raking the eyes, reaching for whatever body parts you can find wrestling. Throw in some great spots, innovative counters, the big show of strength spots from Cesaro (sometimes all of those things in the space of a few seconds), and Regal playing his role of the veteran with a point to prove to absolute perfection...it doesn't get better. And that finish was incredible.

It shows that you don't need the amount of bells and whistles and gimmicks that WWE tend to put on self-consciously "big" matches to make people care about them. You don't need self-indulgent sequences of finisher spams and lying on your back for five minutes only to hit a finisher "out of nowhere" to build drama. People are more than prepared to get emotionally invested in a story told solely through wrestling. Cesaro realising that he might have gone too far after the double stomp, and being reluctant to bring himself to hurt Regal any further...that was a strong, emotionally resonant moment, and the entire match built perfectly to that point.</font>

If people want to know why I'm proud to say I'm a Wrestling Fan, I can show them this match.

I don't know why they would mess with Kruger's gimmick, it seems like it's just started to work.
