According to the dirstsheets and Twitter source these were the highlights of yesterday's WWE investors call/meeting:

* Video game deal - "Take Two blew us away with commitment in terms of getting us on as many platforms as possible."

* WWE Network - Unknown when it will be ready, needs about 3-4 million subscribers for early growth, proposed pricing is between $12.99 to $14.99 per month, and it includes all PPVs except Wrestlemania. So far the WWE has spent $8.2 million working on the Network.

* WWE Films - Have not met longer term financial goals. If 2013 doesn't go well, WWE may exit this business.

* Content monetization are expected to be a large revenue generator in WWE's long term strategy.

* WWE will continue to focus on talent development, content creation, innovative marketing strategies.

* PPVs - PPV business declined 11% due to reduction in # of events. 3 PPV as opposed to 4. Comparable basis, 4% increase, due to HD buys.

Not surprised about WWE Films. Honestly I didn't think it'd last this long. The Network thing sounds interesting, but I'm really wondering how they intend to make a profit with the $15 a month thing. EVERY PPV but 'mania for 15 bucks? Sound cool for us, but sounds really bad for business.

Anyone know where I can get the DDP Yoga dvd online? Kinda want to give it a go. I started downloading a torrent of it from kat.ph but it started to make my laptop crash for whatever reason.

I'm guessing that there are people who only buy a few PPVs per year, and this is a chance to get more money from those people. Also, subscribers will be used to watching every PPV, and so they'll be more likely to pay for Wrestlemania.

Obviously I'm just making this up, but they're possible reasons, and I'm sure they have some sort market research here.

From what I've read on other sites and speculations, the reasoning is related to how low the majority of the PPVs provide in buys.

They'd make a ton more money having 1-3 million paying $15 for the Network and getting a certain PPV than having 150,000 - 300,000 people paying $35+ for a single ppv.

In theory they could be making Wrestlemania-like money every month with the Network instead of hoping of making a Mania-like amount once every 3-4 months from their PPVs.
